Once upon a time...The World had been plunged into an era of chaos. Economies crashed and nations clashed in a complete world war. Magic had been but a dream until a man declared himself a The Sorcerer King. Many laughed at him and his followers but they all soon learned of his power and those that had once lived hidden in the shadows. The Sorcerer King with his 7 Generals were able to contain large amounts of the worlds darkness. They pulled the dark energies from man and the mythical creatures. This killed many in the process and left a magical storm in it's wake. The earth was covered in black and red swirl clouds, wild magic snapping like lightning, for 180 days. Until the King was able to contain it into 7 vessels. As the magical storm receded a new world was born. Each general was imbued with a new found power and title.

Each where given property and wealth. They were dubbed heroes but some and villains by others. Civilizations was left in piece and over the next 300 years would resemble itself under their law. Some place still rebel against the Sorcerer King who is currently on his death bed. Magic has kept him alive this long but his body can no longer handle it. He had the 7 vessels scattered into different locations, not trusting others around him.

Unknowingly someone has been searching and releasing the vessels. They energy and power is released from the vessel into a mortal body. They can wield this power and can use the object of their vessel as a magical catalyst or implement. Each of these characters is up for grabs and the object and object name is negotiable. Like the amulet can be used as a brooch and look like a golden rose or how ever you want. The emerald of greed can be cut into different objects like rings for the wearer. I will be playing wrath because that me and my favorite :hornstongue; I may also pick up a virtue. You are allowed to have one of each to start with. You can also be a magical creature such as elf or others with approval. It is more of a medieval/renaissance based setting. Old world relics are extremely rare are forbidden this does include steampunk tech. The Knights have spent their whole lives following the king, believe in his causes, and everything he has done. They believe the world is better without the 'evils' of the vessels in the world. Which the world is fairly free of crime, famines, and war until this point. Also when the vessels were unlocked and took a host, residual energies escaped and caused issues in the environment. Including the re introduction of necromancy. The Vessels aren't entirely evil but are seen as such. The 'abominations' need to be destroyed in Knight's eyes before the world is tainted once again with their chaos, destroying everything that has been built.


They lay out of the planet is just like earths. Humans aren't the superior race anymore. Many magical creatures have main cities all over. The Old world does have some hidden ruins since some of the world has yet to be re discovered.

Grand Knight of Temperance (immune to gluttony/transmutation magic)
  • Virtues meaning: Abstention, Mensch, Restraint, temperance, justice. Constant mindfulness of others and one’s surroundings; practicing self-control, abstention, moderation and deferred gratification. Prudence to judge between actions with regard to appropriate actions at a given time. Proper moderation between self-interest, versus public-interest, and against the rights and needs of others.
Grand Knight of Charity (immune to greed/immune to Conjuration Magic)
  • Virtues meaning: Will, Benevolence, Generosity, charity, self-sacrifice; the term should not be confused with the more restricted modern use of the word charity to mean benevolent giving. In theology, charity—or love— is the greatest of the three theological virtues.Love, in the sense of an unlimited loving kindness towards all others, is held to be the ultimate perfection of the human spirit, because it is said to both glorify and reflect the nature of divinity. Such love is self-sacrificial. Confusion can arise from the multiple meanings of the English word “love”. The love that is “caritas” is distinguished by its origin – being divinely infused into the soul – and by its residing in the will rather than emotions, regardless of what emotions it stirs up. This love is necessary for salvation, and with it no one can be lost.
Grand Knight of Forgiveness (immune to wrath/immune to Evocation Magic)
  • Virtue meaning: Peace, Mercy, sufferance, ahimsa, Also referred to as the virtue of Patience. Forbearance and endurance through moderation. Resolving conflicts and injustice peacefully, as opposed to resorting to violence. Accepting the grace to forgive; to show mercy to sinners. Creating a sense of peaceful stability and community rather than suffering, hostility, and antagonism
Grand Knight of Diligence (immune to sloth/immune to Necromancy magic)
  • Virtues meaning: Persistence, effort, ethics, rectitude. A zealous and careful nature in one’s actions and work; decisive work ethic, steadfastness in belief, fortitude, and the capability of not giving up. Budgeting one’s time; monitoring one’s own activities to guard against laziness. Upholding one’s convictions at all times, especially when no one else is watching integrity
Grand Knight of Humility (immune to pride/immune to illusion magic)
  • Virtues meaning: Bravery, Modesty, Reverence, altruism. Modest behavior, selflessness, and the giving of respect. Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less. It is a spirit of self-examination; a hermeneutic of suspicion toward yourself and charity toward people you disagree with. The courage of the heart necessary to undertake tasks which are difficult, tedious or unglamorous, and to graciously accept the sacrifices involved. Reverence for those who have wisdom and those who selflessly teach in love. Giving credit where credit is due; not unfairly glorifying one’s own self. Being faithful to promises, no matter how big or small they may be. Refraining from despair and the ability to confront fear and uncertainty, or intimidation
Grand Knight of Kindness (immune to Envy/Immune to Abjuration Magic)
  • Virtues meaning: Satisfaction, loyalty, Compassion, integrity. Charity, compassion and friendship for its own sake. Empathy and trust without prejudice or resentment. Unselfish love and voluntary kindness without bias or spite. Having positive outlooks and cheerful demeanor; to inspire kindness in others.
Grand Knight of Chastity (immune to Lust/enchantment magic)
  • Virtues meaning: Purity, knowledge, honesty and wisdom. Abstaining from sexual conduct according to one’s state in life; the practice of courtly love and romantic friendship. Cleanliness through cultivated good health and hygiene, and maintained by refraining from intoxicants. To be honest with oneself, one’s family, one’s friends, and to all of humanity. Embracing of moral wholesomeness and achieving purity of thought-through education and betterment. The ability to refrain from being distracted and influenced by hostility, temptation or corruption

Were all powerful in their own right before the sorcerer king recruited them for his cause. They have lived a very long time. The world they were born in is much different from the world that is now. They have distance memories of modern technology from the Old world. They remember as world war destroyed everything they loved. The world was ending as magic began popping up they used it it defend their loved ones and themselves. They all had their own specialty they brought to the table as the Sorcerer king dubbed them his 7 generals in the fight against ending the world. The King eventually realized it couldn't be stopped. he didn't have the time they needed to get what they needed done. He created a ritual that would give each general additional power. This is where their virtue comes from. They was found to be immune to a certain type of magic or energy. From this her devised another ritual that would pull the negative energies out from the creatures in the world. Weaker creatures died in the process (example - newly turned vampires, some human and other species younger generations). The world was thrown into shock. The King was not that well known or at least what he could do wasn't that well known. Some sides had backed him most had not. But now the world knew exactly what he was capable of. Armies were sent after him but the generals defended him with every breath. A magical storm was created during that ritual as there was no plan to where exactly the magical energies would go. Random effects happened when lightning would snap or it would rain. The King had hoped it would just die not having a host. During it's 180 days of terror around the world the King tried to play it off like it wasn't his fault and it was the fault of everyone's sins and war that did this. He would end it only if the world agreed to make him it's King so he could give everyone peace united. Eventually the Sorcerer King was able to condense the energies of the storm, with the help of his 7 generals, into 7 objects they held.

The Sorcerer king in his prime

He named each Knight after an act or aspect of their personalty that stood out to him. He saw himself as god like after ending the war. He wore/held each other artifacts. The crown of pride was one her wore in secret for a long time and was the last that he hid.

The schools of Magic
All magic is categorized under the seven schools. Often spells and magic users over lap in use of the schools. Most schools have healing that they can use it's just used, channeled, or castes differently. All magic can be used, channeled, or castes differently based on the type of magic user or creature you are.


AbjurationThe abjurer uses magic against itself, and masters the art of defensive and warding magics. School contains banishment and counter.
ConjuationThe conjurer focuses on the study of summoning monsters and magic alike to bend to his will. Contains Creation, Extradimension, and Teleportation
DivinationDiviners are masters of remote viewing, prophecies, and using magic to explore the world. Contains Foresight, Prophecy, Scryer
EnchantmentThe enchanter uses magic to control and manipulate the minds of his victims. Contains Controller and Manipulator based magic
EvocationEvokers revel in the raw power of magic, and can use it to create and destroy with shocking ease. Contains Admixture and Generation
IllusionIllusionists use magic to weave confounding images, figments, and phantoms to baffle and vex their foes. Contains Deception, Phantasm, and Shadow magic
NecromancyLife, Undead, Hexes, and Curses
TransmutationTransmuters use magic to change the world around them. Shape-changing magic

The schools are lists of sanctioned magic. It doesn't include forbidden arts or race specific magic such as demonic(dark), angelic(holy), elemental, wild ect.
All surface magic user are Sanctioned/certified to use.

Creatures of death, darkness, and chaos living almost as second class citizens in most places. Underground civilizations are hidden from the surface and contain high populations of these creatures. Tieflings, vampires, ghouls, drow, necromancers, demonoids, dark magic users and many others. Anyone that seeks to get away from the Sorcerer king and his reign can find safety here but strangers are met with caution. The only race that lives both underground and above is the dwarfs who mind their own business. They don't both either, trade secrets, or get involved in the drama of the sorcerer king. Trade with their cities is safe but they will arrest fugitives in their cities if it means keeping the peace for their people.

Timeline (work in progress)
  • 2500
    • Beginning of the Last War
    • Sorcerer King is beginning to gain power and followers. His name is but a whisper to world leader
    • Maxwell Riverwood the first joins his ranks
  • 2569
    • The war has reached a point of peak destruction. No one is alias with anyone.
    • Sorcerer King begins to show that magic is real and true
    • Mythical creatures come out of hiding like vampire, who's food source is humans.
  • 2580
    • Sorcerer king has taken over 2 continents
    • World leaders close borders and begin to hunt the mythical or force them into their armies
    • Lower class and upper class are at war with each other in most countries
    • Mythical races fight among themselves as the war continues are the king gains prominence
  • 2600
    • The Sorcerer King begins to cultivating and preserving forests on his lands while several other outside of his reign are tainted with nuclear waste and pollution, this gains him many followers and people start fleeing to his kingdom as refugees.
      • Knight Calliope joins his ranks
  • 2700
    • Sorcerer King hasn't made any serious moves and has been working on maintaining his current role
  • 2800
    • He begins fighting again against the vile world powers. He is dominating the battle field
    • Plots to strip the world of evil
  • 2850
    • Creates ritual to strip world of evil and completes it
    • beginning of The Lasting Storm that lasts 180 days
  • 10 A.W
    • The Sorcerer king marked the end of the war. He rules it under a new era of peace. Everything is born a new. AW means after war.
