Name: Rex Goldford

Age: 15
4DE99699-B128-4F07-851C-F4A5B18F2E59.png
Appearance: He's among the smaller people in his age group, but it doesn't matter to him. He has dull blonde hair, innocent brown eyes, and he has basically no Spider-Suit aside from the Spider Symbol he sometimes paints on the back of his shell, as there's no need for it, although if he had one, it would probably be made of a rainbow of different colors.

Alias: Star Spider

Universe of Origin: The World of Calm

Personality: Young, naive, and innocent, poor Rex has no clue what's coming for him as the Spider-Foes rise. All he ever wants to do is watch the sunset with his buddies back in his own world and eat bananas or sip smoothies. If a spectrum of colors would to be chosen to represent Rex, they would all be vibrant, because his attitude is usually one of positivity.

He has no sense of familial relationships, in all honesty. He grew up without parents (they died in a house fire that was caused on accident, big surprise there), but what Spider does have than kinda relationship, besides their Aunt May? Of course, the market owners and shopkeepers took pity on him and usually always gave him the supplies he needed, and he always had enough. Although he was extroverted in some aspects within the markets, he was also... distant in others. When he was playing with the other children his age, he stayed at a distance when their parents came over to check on them. There are definitely some cracks in the system, and they run deep.

Background:
First of all, let's get this straight: Rex comes from a farming world where there's little to no crime, because there's no need for it. Everyone gets their share, and those that are too greedy are punished for their actions.

The flora on his world is what contrasts from the so-called "normal" worlds; the grass can be blue, or sometimes orange, while the sands along the small beaches could be orange or blue as well. The trees are not much different, except the leaves usually match the colors of the grass.

Speaking of trees—Rex was resting under one a few years ago when he felt a pinch on his lower back. He felt to see what it was, and turns out it was a cute little spiny star spider! Rex assumed that he had startled the poor arachnid, apologized to it, and moved on. Keep in mind, this world, the "World of Calm" as they call it, it's a lot smaller than most other Earths in the multiverse. Who knows why it was like that? Some had said it was meant to be.

The next day, Rex woke up with an ear-splitting headache and an awful stinging pain in his back. Every month, for about three or four days, he "grows" a spiny, articulate shell from his back, resembling a star spider's. It starts off as a thin strip, then it folds outward to span across his back, and then at the end, the spikes grow out of the shell.

Rex uses the shell (it can disconnect, don't worry) to curl up into a ball and either roll at opponents, or use it defensively. He can also remove it from his back and use it like a weapon. The shell can be hard to cover up, especially in the later stages when it's across his back and spines are sticking out. The shell can withstand a pretty strong (like, Iron Man Punch strong) blow or two before it's out and done for the month. It's not like he can just force himself to grow a new one.

The first time any of this happened, he was petrified.

Name: Benjamin "Ben" Parker
Age: 45
Description: 20190320_101558.jpg
Alias: Spider-Man
Universe of Origin: Universe 82-01

Personality: Ben never set out to be anyones hero but fell into the role easily enough. He believes it is the duty of everyone to help where you can, even more so for him. With great strength, come great resposibility. You must always fight for what is right.

Background: Allright. Let's do this one more time. My name is Benjamin Parker and while investigating the disaperence of my sister in law, her husband and thier son, my nephew peter, I was bitten by a radioactive spider and for twenty-one years I've been the one and only Spiderman.

I began small, stopping petty crimes and gang activity in the local community while I continued my investigation into Octavious industries and its link to the disappearance of May's sister. But eventually I started attracting attention to myself and had to step it up. As I extended my duties to cover major crimes I found my self going head to head with criminals of a new breed. Super villians the papers called them. Names like the Red Devil, Octotron and The Crow became common in the headlines. I really tried to keep focused on my original goal but It became clearer each day that no one else was standing up to these new criminals.

All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. So I did something. I fought, for ten long years I fought. Almost always alone but resolute. Then before my eyes the world changed again. New names began to appear. The fantastic five, the Iron Titan, Seargent Marvel. New heroes ready to face the threats of this world. I joined the ranks of the defenders, earths mightiest heroes and continued to fight the good fight. I lead the charge in Latveria and I was there at the end of Ultron. I was a good soldier, but after a nasty run in with the mad titan I decided to take a back seat, after all crimefighting is a younger mans game. And while I can still go toe to toe with the best of them I was getting on in years. The hits felt harder, knocked me down for longer, but still I always get back up... so far.

You’re both approved! Excellent characters!

Name: Mitchell Laymend

Age: 18

0E00654A-11FD-4986-8DF3-2784AF06F4BF.png662C8F0B-A757-4130-832D-B251D7554546.jpeg

Alias: The Arachnid

Universe Of Origin: Earth-139

Personality: Sarcastic to a fault, Mitchell prefers to side step problems before properly fixing them. He is extremely stubborn when it comes to morals and is preemptively weary of almost anyone with a hold over people. Excluding that prejudice, Mitchell does his best to be optimistic for the world in spite of how much it’s been dragged through.

Background: Okay, let’s try this one more time shall we? Born and raised in San Francisco, Mitchell was an average 2040’s kid; he loved the sun, which seemed to always be pounding on the cement, nearly just as much as he enjoyed the cool air that surrounded the ever-evolving technology. He lived with his aunt and uncle in a small apartment full of warmth and love after his parents died in a car crash. Mitchell’s entire family was stock full of accredited scientists, his parents even met at a research expo. While not originally that socially proficient he always found himself chasing after the world, seeming to continuously be out of tune a single step. Yet a fateful encounter soon tipped the scales that were against him.

An escaped spider crawled down a shadow covered wall as cars whooshed past on the dull street outside the alleyway. With a small pounce it landed on a hand, the appendage was connected to a teen that was slumped against the wall in despair. A seagull passed through the blue sky above, threatening the red and black spider with a taunting squawk. In an act of fear, the spider clamped down on the figure’s hand, dispersing it’s altered DNA in a tangled swirl of green as it mixed with blood. Adrenaline surged through the figure as he stood, only to gawk at the arachnid sitting in his palm. His stomach began to churn before he rushed towards his home, the palm trees and buildings blurring as he fought to stay awake. From that moment forward, Mitchell’s destiny changed towards a new course. He developed abilities that for him never seemed remotely possible; he could scale skyscrapers with ease, jump higher, and run faster. After all the pain of being split and reconnected at each protein bond, it felt like he was high on a quick charge battery.

With these newfound gifts Mitchell followed the thought process of any sixteen year old and immediately went to show off his powers on WeTube. Only using a makeshift bandanna to cover his face, his videos went viral. People couldn’t seem to get enough of the young kid with abilities that were beyond what public labs could artificially produce. Debates quickly started about the strength levels between him and many of the A-team. Though with an increase in popularity comes the bane of the human race: hubris. Due to ditching the unveiling of his aunt’s new quantum storage device, he was unable to save her from the unfortunate ‘accident’ that followed an act of corporate espionage. A new resolve quickly overcame the guilt Mitchell felt, he swore to remove those in power that couldn’t use it responsibly, and for the past two years he’s been the one and only Arachnid.

A rogues gallery easily followed his first year of being out and about as a new vigilante, though he has been concerned with the amount of animal themed mob bosses he’s had to stop. Over time Mitchell’s been able to develope this new gig more and more, even to the point of completely nailing the arachnid motif with webbing he developed. Those animal themed crooks were getting increasingly deadly enhancements from somewhere, so he figured he should even the odds a bit. Yet after a solid year of extremely shaky police collaboration, he’s gotten closer and closer to getting revenge for his aunt and finally ending the Stark Family of Crime once and for all.
