War and Peace - The nation is in your hands, do you strive for exspanion and power or secuirty and peace?
Intro: You control a nation of your very own; you are the king or queen, the duke or lord, the grand master or the high priest, what ever you so wish to be called by your people. Do you lead with a soft hand, striving for the better of all that follow you? Or do you perhaps have other plans in mind, spurred on only by the power you posses? However you choose to lead your nation is entirely up to you!
Background: Espian is a large and beautiful world filled with magnificent kingdoms and towns and vast open wildernesses of varying terrain. Nations have been building up for years, and now, with so many nations having built up power and strength, it seems war is imminent.
Your Job: Create a nation, give them a name, some background and such, (I will provide a Character Sheet for you to follow) and run the nation in whatever way you choose. To keep it interesting I am implementing my own version of a system I have seen in another RP; the system limits power and growth of the nations. The system is Rising and Falling, You get two posts were your nation is rising and things are going good, but you also must have two periods of falling were your nation is loosing power or bad things are happening. The 4 post system resets after you have had 2 rising and 2 falling posts. The can be in any order you wish, for example: RRFF or RFRF, or any such combination.
The world will be built up as we go, you will completely create the starting place for your nation; others will crate theirs, giving a good basic structure to the world. Keep in mind that this a is a medieval fantasy themed world, so keep it as such.
Basic Rules:
1. Follow all RPN rules.
How things will work:
1. You will create a nation and I will either accept or decline it (or request a change be made in order for you to be accept)
2. You will write legibly and put in some effort (otherwise why bother?)
3. Proof read! At least once, when you don't proof read you end up with a lot of dumb little errors that make reading your post...hard. I am an English Lit. Major so trust me, I'll know. I will 1st give you a warning if I think your writing looks as though you have not been proof reading, the 2nd time I feel your writing has not been proof read I will wreck your nation big time, I'm talking natural disasters, sickness, and even straight up spiting; So please proof read. The 3rd. time you are gone.
4. follow the Rising and Falling system I have mentioned in the RP Overview; it is simple and easy but if you have any questions ask in the OCC or PM me.
5. No MAGIC... for the time being; I may add it if/when I feel we have a group that will not abuse it.
6. Lastly I will be keeping things interesting for the fun of the RP. If no one is attacking, you may be raided by some small force or something of that nature, just to keep things going.
