Our own version of the walking dead.

It happened four weeks ago. A gas station attendant was ringing up a customer, when he became aware of a car swerving all over the road, slowly chugging along, as if something was wrong. Blood was on the windshield, and as it rolled to a stop, the front car door opened, and a man, clearly ill, stumbled out the car. He was flushed, but unhealthy so, as if with fever, and before he even fell to the ground, it was clear he was dead.


In the car were the bodies of a woman, and a little girl. All three appeared to have died. In fact, they were legal pronounced dead.


Until they weren't.

Samuel had been exiting college when the first signs something wrong was going on. There appeared to be a large amount of soldiers in the area. Funny things had been going on, reported in the news. And then those reports had stopped.


And then it wasn't long before they were being evacuated, but Samuel didn't follow what they were told to do. He hopped in his car, and began to drive towards his home town, intent on finding his parents. And that's was when he came across the first "walkers". Zombies.


He still had nightmares about that, but then, it was barely a week later. He was lucky, he supposed, that he hadn't taken in his kitchen knife set to his appartmenr. It saved his life. He hadnt hesitated. He'd stabbed the...things, horrible and gruesome, in the eyes or the head, when his car had run out of petrol he hadn't had any choice but to run.


He was sitting by a fire, dug into the ground, so as not to attract any of the walkers. He had some supplies, looted from a shop, but hadn't run into anyone else yet. He was alone. The night was quite, and he was alone. He dared not sleep, in case one came up on him. In his lap was a gun, and just in reach was a hunting knife, and a dagger. His weapons against zombies and the end of the world.
