  INTRODUCTION.​

  
  “Come on down here and give us a try. Ya wanna do some livin' before you die.”
  
  The Big Easy, The Birthplace of Jazz, Hollywood South, The City That Care Forgot, New Orleans, Louisiana is a small city with a large reputation. People flock to the city in crowds, eager to experience the culture, from the French Quarter Market to the infamous nightlife on Bourbon Street. It’s a city of festivals, of freewheeling fun, of go-cups poured in the bars where cocktails were invented. It’s a city with a rhythm, style and attitude all its own. In this city Carnival stretches for weeks, gumbo and crawfish recipes are family heirlooms and neighborhood pride is touted in all corners of the Big Easy.
  
  
  But beneath that vibrant and colorful city are much more...otherworldly things. New Orleans is also a place of the supernatural, a place where demons and ghosts have free rein, where cemeteries are above-ground cities of the dead and Voodoo has its own royal queen. Vampires and Werewolves roam the streets during the night, while ghosts haunt the old plantation houses and the cemeteries in which they reside, some unaware that they are even gone. Of course these are only rumors, tall tales and superstitions sold to tourists in the form of tacky voodoo dolls and ghost tours.
  
  But there are those who know better, who grew up learning how to communicate with dead ancestors for guidance. Beings who can only come out at night, those who go into a frenzy at the first sight of a full moon. New Orleans is home to many interesting individuals, both human and other.

  Feel the presence of the paranormal as you wander the French Quarter, as you lose your inhibitions on Bourbon Street, dark secrets and ghosts lurk behind every corner. The supernatural community of New Orlean is as bustling and vibrant as the human side of the city. They have done a marvelous job of blending in with the mundane, hiding their true nature from the humans that they coexist with.
  
  Coexisting with each other however, is a completely different matter. There is a fragile balance within the community, set in place by a truce between the three ruling groups of the city. With this truce came forth La Magie Académie, a place where future generations of all backgrounds and species would be able to learn and thrive. But unbeknownst to the students, there is an evil that plagues the school. All is not what it seems in their community and it is up to them to discover the truth before it’s too late.

  2. This roleplay is application based, meaning that it isn’t first come first served. Characters will be chosen after the deadline that I have chosen has passed. I’m looking to accept 8 characters in total.
  
  3. Be active! I I understand that real life comes first but let me know if something comes up, rather than saying nothing.
  
  4. Literacy is a must. No one-liner replies will be allowed. I'm expecting to see 500+ word replies on average, with good quality! Though I’m not strict about this.

Yes so the focus on this rp will be on the magical students entirely! As for now , the options are either werewolves or vampires. I’m working on the lore right now so you can have more insight of the school and community.
