The city of second chances.
Glamorous on the surface with its dazzling lights, luxury hotels, and world-class shows. There's also the seedy side lurking just beneath the glitz—think 24/7 gambling, questionable all-you-can-eat buffets, and a “what happens here, stays here” vibe. Where you can rub elbows with high-rollers at a blackjack table one minute, then find yourself questioning life choices in a smoky casino at 3 a.m. It’s a wild, unapologetic mix of luxury and chaos, and somehow, it all works.
Over the vibrant yet shadowy lengths of the Las Vegas Strip, lives intertwine as our characters chase their dreams under the neon lights. As their paths cross in unexpected ways, they are forced to confront their pasts, desires, and the price of making your home where fortunes change with the roll of the dice.
The Lowdown:
Setting: This is a slice of life roleplay that will take place in a fictionalized version of Las Vegas, Nevada. More specifically, centralized on The Strip, a five-mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard lined with upscale casinos, resort hotels, performance venues, restaurants, tons of shopping--it's quintessential Vegas, baby!
Our Cast: Characters can be any age, although 18+ would probably work best for most of the in-character action and general subject matter. True to the city's unseemly image, there will be crime, debauchery, and a pesky Russian mafia presence. Assorted criminals, hustlers, gangs, streetwalkers, drug dealers, and degenerate gamblers are very much welcome! We'd also love to see some rich high rollers, as well as regular, law-abiding citizens just trying to get by and earn a buck at whatever profession you can come up with.
Expectations: We're going for a sandbox style SOL RP, and we need mature, active, and experienced writers to help us bring this city to life!
The Rules:
• Absolutely no bullying or bigotry will be tolerated. Diverse and LGBT characters are very much welcome!
• Currently, there is no character limit. Just be sure not to overload yourself with too many OCs you won't be able to realistically write for.
• We're happy to help with any issues you may have! We just ask that you bring them up privately. No OOC drama will be tolerated.
• Please only join if you are comfortable using Discord.
• All RPN rules apply in the main thread.
• If you prefer to avoid all mention of drugs, violence, strong language, or other mature themes then this roleplay is not for you. Likewise, when dark topics inevitably arise, they are to be handled sensitively and appropriately.
• Plots involving another roleplayer's OC must be consented to by both parties.
• This is a literary group, so please make sure all official posts are at least two or three paragraphs long with decent grammar.
