Fantasy ♡ Visual novel/dating sim-inspired adventure! (OC X OC + A/A) ♡

Hihi! First post! Sooo, little bit about me:

Name's Sof, I'm 22, my pronouns are she/he, and my timezone is CST. I have 10-ish years of both RP and writing experience, with my style being literate to novella (but I'm flexible! It really depends on what the scene needs at any moment). Admittedly, English is not my first language, but I've done enough reading and writing to excel at it!

I've been really into visual novels lately, particularly dating sims. What drives me to them, however, is the universe and characters crafted for this story! To give an example as to what I mean, here are my biggest inspirations:

• The Arcana
• Touchstarved
• Obscura
• Last Legacy (RIP)

I'd love to either A) work within the existing canon of one of the games mentioned, B) use them as jumping-off points and add our own personal tweaks, or C) create our own universe inspired by them! Basically what I'm looking for is a romantic, old-timey adventure set in a world of our own creation. Additionally, I happen to be a horror fan! So it'd be fun to incorporate darker elements to our lore, keeping each other's limits and preferences in mind, of course!

I have a couple of OCs (mostly female, though I'm looking to make more male and gender-nonconforming characters) I could use, but it would also be fun to come up with new characters for this RP!
