Here's a little extra information about the RP. NOTE: Most of the characters in the RP will not know a lot of this information. VERY LITTLE ABOUT THE VIRUS IS ACTUALLY KNOWN.
The Virus:
The Virus works by slowly taking over the mind of the host, be it Pokemon or Hybrid. Somehow, probably due to the extensive number of Psychic types that it's infected, it has developed a mind of it's own, and coordinates the actions of all of it's "soldiers". Here's an example of the way the Virus speaks.
She had Pokemon outside of Us, and they must be made to Conform. To become Our messengers to the fallen race. We knew no fear. Fear was for the Outsiders.
And Outsiders must be Changed.
And those who resisted to Conform must die.
So it speaks using 1st person plural, and revolves around controlling the hosts. Probably will be developed more as the story goes.
Also, no hybrid is immune to the siren call of the Virus. Eventually, they will have to fight the virus. For some it happens later than others, but it will happen. Hybrids can resist the virus as well, and some have become quite adept at fighting it, but they must be constantly on their guard.
Hybrids:
Hybrids is what the world calls Gijinka in this RP. They are bitten by an infected Pokemon and then changed into a hybrid. The process is usually painful and often results in loss of consciousness during the change. Some lose their memories. Others immediately succumb to the Virus. Every change is different. Hybrids gain many of the abilities of the Pokemon, such as Absol's disaster sense, Lucario and Riolu's aura sensing, Vaporeon being able to disappear into water, etc. They also gain up to 4 moves, from any Generation, TM, HM, Move Tutor, Egg move, or whatever.
Immediately after the change, they are usually left alone by the Virus, so some Hybrids don't know the danger they're in. More will be revealed as the story goes.
Setting:
These events take place after all current Pokemon games. The location, however, is going to be Jhoto region for now, to allow for more interaction between characters. Some other things that are important to note about locations:
1. Kanto is a wasteland. It was hit first and hardest by the Virus. The only things that live there are Hunters which take no chances, Shifted Hybrids, and infected Pokemon. There are very few exceptions.
2. You're stuck in Jhoto, for now. Sorry, but all governments have heavily restricted any traveling between regions. Border patrols scan the border of Kanto and Jhoto to prevent anything from leaving Kanto and entering Jhoto without explicit permission.
3. Hunter Bases are in every major city in the Jhoto region. Most of the smaller cities have been overrun by the Virus. There are also Hunter stations in most routes in the Region. Each Base and outposts have different protocol for dealing with the Virus. Two of the most important bases are Base 23, with a large area encompassing Blackthorn City, New Bark Town, and the Pokemon League, notorious for it's "Kill on sight" attitude, and Base 12, a R&D base located in the ruins of Azelea town, which prefers live Hybrids to run experiments on. Base 12 and Base 23 have been arguing over which is more important, finding a cure, or eliminating all Hybrids.
"Shifting:"
Shifting is the phrase coined by Hybrids for when the Virus takes them over. Shifts occur in different ways, some are violent, some are quiet and unnoticed, and some are fought off. The longer you're a hybrid, however, the harder it's going to get to fight it off. Also, using the Hybrids active powers (Moves, some abilities) can lead to shifts occurring. I won't tell you when to go through a shift and what it's results will be, but I may ask you to do it sometimes.

2. No godmodding.
3. Follow the "Fade to black" rule please.
4. Please pre-arrange combat, either through PM or OOC chat. Talk with the other person and figure out what you're going to do beforehand.
5. Please be active, if you're going to be away for a while, let me know please either through PM or OOC chat.
6. Limit your characters knowledge. No character knows everything about the Virus.
7. 3 characters Maximum.
8. Later on in the RP, I may make some characters that no one RP's, but have defined personalities and histories because they're important to the story. Ask me if you're going to use them.
