Viridia ~ Land of Dreams

Jericho wandered through the forrest aimlessly staring at the scenery around him. It was a beautiful place, magnificent trees and wild flowers of all sorts growing around every corner, though the section he was walking through was darker - the trees were much thicker in this part and the sun was blotted out by them. He enjoyed the darkness though. Too much sun hurt his eyes. Plus, Zandor preferred it darker as well. His little green dragon perched on his right shoulder looking tired. "How do you feel today, Zandor? You're awfully quiet." The palm-sized dragon lifted his tiny head and looked up at Jericho, then it spoke. In any other world this would have been unthinkable. In fact, having a dragon at all would have been strange, but in Viridia talking animals are common and Jericho was unaffected by this. Plus, he had had Zandor for a few years and he was accustomed to the raspy, slow speech his dragon often used. "I'm just fine, Jericho. Perhaps, a bit more bored than usual. There's nothing to do anymore...no one to talk to." Jericho smiled, then responded to his closest friend. "It's alright, Zandor. I promise we'll find a friend soon. School starts up again tomorrow, remember? There will be a lot of people there. Zandor just huffed. "That's what you said last year, and still nobody." Jericho smiled, knowing he was right. "Okay, so I'm not the best at making new friends. So what?" Zandor lowered his head again and closed his eyes, preparing to rest again. "Yeah. Well it would be nice to talk to someone besides you every once in a while." Jericho laughed and Zandor slowly drifted off into sleep as they continued on through the forrest.

Jamie panted harshly as he ran and ran through - what the town called - Jed's Woods. He couldn't take the time to appreciate the scenery as he rushed past it all as cold wind slapped his face and stung his eyes. Maneuvering through the trees and foliage with stealth was fairly easy (despite his speed) as he tried to throw Ulvar, his pet wolf, off his trail.

But lady luck wasn't on his side today, because the wind was blowing just right so that the wolf could pick up the change in route when the scent moved off course. James could just feel the anime catching up to him - so he had to think fast. And fast he did, because one moment, he was running and the next... he was climbing a rather tall, strong maple tree. "That isn't fair, Jamie!" Ulvar barked from below, breathing in sort huffs.

The teen sat perched on a branch that wasn't too high nor too low. "And it's not fair that you can run faster!" He shot back with a small pout. "Besides, it's pretty nice up here!" Indeed it was, actually. From this angle, he was able to spot a small river just a little bit away. I wonder if it is deep enough to swim in.

"Co..coro STOP." Code ran through the forest known as Jed's woods. He ran quickly through the trees, some of the branches swinging back to hit him on the cheek. "S..STOP" He looked up toward his bac kand saw flames come from his mouth. He clenched his eyes shut as he continued to run. "THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE" He quickly slid under a fallen tree down toward a hill. Tumbiling he tucked in his head as he covered it with his arms. He began to roll down the hill, a few rocks jabbing him into his side. "AGGHHHHHHHH" He landed on the side of a tree , his back slammed up against the oak tree. He coughed a little as he tried to get up, but his legs were to tired from all the running. He panted heavily as his hood fell of, a gust of wind making his hair flow side ways. The long braid in the back snagged onto a part of the tree, pinning him to where he laid.

The tall dragon landed a few feet away from him. His red eyes staring down at him as he bared his fangs. His mouth opening wide as he snapped his jaw. The dragon thought he looked so cute being so defenseless. He wanted to eat him but he knew he wouldn't , not him at least. Coro did nothing except sat there as he watched him cry, trying to release himself from the tree.

Jamie's observation of the woods were interrupted when Ulvar began to growl. Curious, he tilted his head in wonderment, "What's wrong?" This was the first time he ever heard his wolf growl before. That was a sure sign that something was out of place at the very least.

The wolf could feel his pelt rise as he heard it. The scent of smoke wafted through his nose and he continued growling. He knew they should move out of the area quickly. "James, stay hidden and be quiet. Something's coming." Ulvar said while moving to cover himself behind a few bushes.

For Ulvar to act like this, this had to be serious. Jamie stayed behind a branch of colorful maple leaves, watching the ground. He had heard it before seeing it. Someone, possibly around his age, had just rolled down a hill from his right and hit the oak three. Then, a large gray dragon with tattered red wings landed not too far behind.

With his mouth agape, he watched as Ulvar jumped out of his hiding place and stood his ground in front of the other teen. Taking the animal's example, James jumped off the branch he was sitting on without hesitation and landed on his feet - thank goodness. "H-hey, are you alright?!" He asked the guy with odd white hair. The poor teen was crying and trying to free himself from a tree branch.

The young boy looked up a he tried to wipe the tears away. He tired to feel for his snagged hair that was caught in the tree but couldnt. The drgaon bent down as if he was going to lunge and opend his mouth wide. Code opend his eyes and held out his hand for him to stop. "STOP..DON'TT DO IT." The dragon looked up at him as he snapped his mouth shut . His tail waving around fuirously. "But he's going to touch you." code closed his eyes as he tried to find the snag again. The dragon wanted to protest as his eyes moved over to the other two. Code wiped away his tears and was able to unsnag his braid from the tree.

He had let out a sigh as he tried to force himself up from his position. The dragon darted back toward code. "Do you need help?" Code shot aglare at coro and shook his head. "not from you." The dragon sulked as he lowered his head. "I was only trying to train you." Code managed to sit up with little power he had left and sighed. "that was far from playing..you took it to far." The dragon covered his eyes with his hands and settled his tail. Code looked up toward the two, he didn't smile but only stared. "u..um I guess in theses situation I should say thank you."

Jamie's smile faltered, but he managed to keep it on. It seems that the teen and dragon were acquainted...? No matter, this was just an opportunity for friendship! "I didn't do anything to deserve a 'thanks', did I? Huh, I don't think so... Oh! But my name's James - Jamie, if you prefer. This wolf here is Ulvar!" His perky attitude had returned, along with his running mouth.

Ulvar, then, decided to relax and went to nuzzle James' hand since the 'threat' no longer lingered. Still, the wolf eyed Coro warily as Jamie pet his fur gently. He licked the boy's hand to show his approval of the action.

Code looked up at him as he unbraided his hair, making some fall over his shoulder. He didn't want to know him or give him his name. But he knew he had to, it was only polite. Coro looked down as he began to walk closer. Code's legs were feeling better since he had the time to rest them but he wanted to leave, from here and them. CCode looked up at the two, with a blank expression he nodded his head in thanks still. "My name is Code and this is Coro. Coro had stopped inches away from the group and bowed his head.

ccode motioned him over so he could climb up. Coro nodded his head and turend his massive body around. Laying down, he gave code enough guidance to help him up onto his back. CCode slowly stood from the tree and brushed himelf off, but winced a litle due to the bruses he had gotten from the rocks he rolled over and in to.

Judging from Code's expressions and actions, Jamie guessed he didn't want to be friends. But, being someone who won't leave things on a negative note, he waved at the other with a small smile. "Well I guess I'll get going now. I want to explore some parts of the town before sun set. Hope I get to talk to ya later," he said as his partings before motioning Ulvar to follow him towards the direction of the river.

"Failure," the wolf said as soon as they were out of hearing rage of Code and Coro. "You have failed - yet again - to make a friend so far in this town."

James scowled, glaring down at Ulvar as he broke into a moderate jog. "Hush you! I already know that. I guess the people 'round here don't make friends easily." Shrugging it off, he looked up ahead to see the river he had seen earlier on the tree. "Look, look! You can see the shallow end now, but I think the farther down you go the deeper the water gets!"

Ulvar grunted while laying on a nice bed of leaves. He wasn't as excited about the water as Jamie. That human could tire out anyone. "Just don't drown. I am not in the mood to get my fur wet just because I have to save you, got that?"

"Oh don't be such a party pooper, Ulvar! Besides, I'm not going into the water. I'll just look around - maybe figure out how to skip a few stones. Plenty to do!" And to prove his point, Jamie picked up a flat rock and threw it into the water. However, it didn't skim the surface, no, it sunk into the water with a loud 'plop'.

Ronnie walked through the woods with her hands stuffed on her pockets as she aimlessly followed her little panther cub “Where are you taking us today, Parduc?” Her blue eyes shimmered with curiosity as she looked down at the black kitten like friend of hers. Parduc just looked back at her and wagged his tail lightly before looking ahead again.

Ronnie huffed a bit but didn’t ask again, she knew Parduc was able to speak, to communicate with her, but sometimes he just preferred to remain quiet and act like any other normal panther. She blew her light brown bangs out of her face and decided to just take in her surroundings, she wondered if Parduc was even taking them to a specific place, for he loved to walk though he would usually don’t have a particular place to arrive to.
