Background:
Amelia originally comes from a bigger town a fair distance away from the village and despite her father being born and raised in the Kore she has only visited a handful of times during her early childhood. Because of her mother's busy career as a professional ballet dancer that involved a lot of travelling she was sent to a boarding school in the city for the the majority of her childhood so she'd have a stable place to live and finish her education, spending whatever time outside of that living with her uncle, aunt and older cousins. After finishing university in the city she arrived in Kore a few months after graduating and job hunting. Her cousin, Samuel had already settled in Kore on a permanent basis had informed her of a nursing position available at the local clinic that had just been just opened.

After hearing the news she put in for the job and got hired, she then packed her bags and made her way to the village, she has been there for a little while now but is still adjusting. She currently lives along with Samuel until she is used to things.

Samuel has dark brown curly hair that has a somewhat messy appearance and has grey/blue lazy looking eyes along with tanned skin. He dresses in pretty plain clothing and colours, sticking to a plain T-shirt or sweatshirt with some jeans, as long as it's comfortable to wear (comfortable enough to nap in). He frequently has to wear band-aids if he hurts himself while working because of his fear of blood (he doesn't mind pain, he just minds looking at blood). Even if something as simple as a paper cut happens off he runs to cover it so he doesn't have to see it.

Though he does take the care of his farm and his animals seriously, he doesn't take much else seriously, his placid nature causes him to not think before he acts sometimes or just leave things to the last minute (Which can annoy his younger cousin at times who tends to keep him in check). Background:
Samuel has lived in Kore Village for most of his childhood on and off. Living with his parents in the same town as Amelia until the summer, or any other school holidays where he would spend it on the farm with his grandparents.

Once his grandparents got too old to deal with the farm themselves they handed it over to Samuel to look after mostly alone, with some guidance from them when needed before they went off with whatever the had saved to live in their own little holiday home, he frequently receives letters from them.

Samuel's farm which he took over from his grandparents is a livestock farm, dealing in mostly dairy produce but deals with wool as well, just not as much. Because of the focus on livestock there isn't much crop on the land, it is mostly made up of large grassy fields and animals sheds/Barns

Personality:
Evelyn is an intelligent young woman just a bit air-headed, the kind to look for her pen for 20 minutes while it has been tucked behind her ear the entire time and is too frazzled to listen to the poor soul telling her where it actually is. She is constantly seen carrying around a notebook in her bag to write stuff down so she can combat this. Despite her forgetful nature she tries her best to be useful and helpful, even if her excessive attempts sometimes make things worse without her realising it until its too late. She loves to be surrounded by people and when alone she will frequently hum to herself just to fill up the quietness.

Being the daughter of the actual mayor of the town (Mayor Bork is only the town mascot. Sorry folks!) Evelyn has lived in Kore all of her life though left for a few years for college. While gone she studied music and drama (Hence having no issues being up on stage) but upon coming back to Kore there wasn't exactly any openings for work related to that. Since returning she has been working in the town hall while her Elder sister Priscilla is living in the city with her family and her other sister Cleo is still too young for the job. She's been helping things run smoothly there (For the most part) even taking over organising most of the towns events and making appearances with the towns beloved mascot in her father's stead.

Cleo may be the youngest of the Frost sisters but for her age she is easily one of the most mature. She's calm, quite independent and responsible, tending to take everything in her stride in a cool, collected manner. This responsible nature of hers sometimes has her forgetting to stand back and get involved with the other kids of the village and has her seem unintentionally aloof in nature to other kids her age.

When not doing that or in school she spends a lot of time just exploring the countryside with her notebook in hand, writing little stories or just doodling things. While too young to be fully set on what she wants to do when she grows up she frequently tells those who ask that she wants to be a botanist.

Not to mention he's cheaper, so despite his appearance, he makes money.     Personality:
    Hunter has been an amazingly extroverted person even from childhood. As the son of two inn owners, he was often meeting with people from all over, while most children are taught to keep away from strangers instead Hunter got to know them by name. It was clear early on that he was rather good at it as well. You could often find him running up to people and introducing himself without prompting. Sometimes he even found his way into interrupting conversations, which most found cute in his younger years. In fact, he was somewhat of a star of the inn as a child. After all, he was more than willing to show around the kids of any such travelers. Every cool spot or attraction was well known to him as he heard it repeated daily, and his extroverted behavior helped him maintain an air of leadership for far longer than he cared to notice.
    
    Even as a child he had been building up a life of orderly behavior. He liked his routines, he liked plans, he liked things in their place, but above all, he liked for things to be expected. Surprises don't really fall in line with his plans, after all, how could he be sure that it would all go well if he didn't get to put his opinions in? Even if more often than not his plans were completely crashed he would rather have the plans ready only intending on getting help when all plans ran out. His own independence was important to him, he accepted guidance with lots of complaints.
    
    That said though he may complain through it all it’s never stopped him from helping. He’s a relaxed person and never felt the need to rush through life, in fact he hates starting something without a clear plan. For his friends he never ran out of patience; especially, with how often he found himself being less and less attached to plans so long as they’re around. He’s always going to follow through on his commitments, Integrity is a quality he’s never had trouble with, though he’ll be reminding you every step of the way if he dislikes something. Keeping his thoughts and feelings to himself is not something he’s ever had any luck with.
    
    With parents such as his, he’s gotten to points where he’s definitely been the most responsible. As a result, he’s gotten rather good at controlling his emotions, it’s rare he’ll lash out of frustration. He’s big in thinking through the benefits and the consequences of actions, after all why make a situation worse? The times he’s done something and wound up regretting it later stick with him for years until he can really accept it. He’s still just as likely to get frazzled when his emotions run too high but he knows that he can always take some time and refocus. The world may be at his grasp but that’s far beyond and for now, he has to live in the present.

    History:
    Hunter was born and raised in Kore. The village may not be all he knows but it’s damn well the main thing he knows. As the son of the owners of Vitral Inn he’s been taught the ins and out of the inn. From childhood, he'd already begun developing deep bonds with the ones that would frequent his home. As a child, he knew the ins and outs of every closet and every hiding place and made the inn practically a joint home as children from every room would be seen playing throughout the inn. His family's penthouse apartment was never entertaining enough when he had a tiny neighborhood in his own building.
    
    The only thing that would take him away from running wild in the inn would be the library and his lessons and games with his friends. While he'd spend the mornings playing around and speaking to guests from far and wide, whenever he didn't have classes, afternoons were dedicated solely to bonding with his village friends, Lumina and Asuka. Generally he was quick to make friends with most of the other villagers as Kore is a small place and even the most polar opposites had the time to find some common ground. He was good at enjoying new things so he would have the most fun when someone else would lead the day and they'd all try something new. He'd carry it on all his life always dedicating at least one day to shaking up the system.
    
    For years without knowing it he'd find himself gaining more and more responsibility of the inn. What started as unprompted conversations with the guests expanded into taking care of the front desk, and then working with the kitchens on what to stock, getting to know the bartenders and the patrons. Slowly he started to integrate his own touches into the building. Before long the staff had begun to bring the problems to Hunter before they would bring them to his father. He loved the trust but he didn't quite feel right in having such responsibility after all he was just a teen really.
    
    As for his own solution? He started to gain more skills and knowledge. He'd go away for college and then his parents could reobtain the inn. He'd get a temporary job and he'd only come back when he truly believed he deserved to run it. At least that's what he had planned out. After telling his parents about his feelings on the matter and his plans for the future they went silent. Eventually, his father, Claude, asked why he felt he didn't deserve to run it now. While his Papa, Theodore, questioned where the desire to leave Kore came from. After a long heated debate on the future set forth for Hunter, they all went to bed dissatisfied. The next morning his parents had left for a surprise extended vacation leaving behind only a note imploring Hunter to take care of the inn until further notice and that they believed so much in him. The staff had already been informed and suddenly Hunter was now the sole manager and owner of the Vitral Inn.
    
    So in all fairness, Hunter knew very well this was his parents' strange way of showing their own support. Still, as a nineteen-year-old that just had his plans go up in smoke, he was furious and frustrated. Who knew when it would end, as his parents could keep this up decades if they truly wished to. For a month he kept thinking he could do a half-assed job because his parents would be right back right? But he could never leave his beloved home out to dry and he was back to throwing himself all in within the next month. Still, it was a lot of pressure and his parents were stubborn as oxen. So he called in a favor and sucked up his pride asking for his closest family member, Alessia, for help.
    
    Things could and did get better. Alessia came to support him, so he wasn't nearly as stressed out as in the beginning. He got the random updates that his parents were okay and apparently traveling the world. Just how much money did those two have saved up? The town was flourishing and the guests kept coming. He still kept in touch with childhood friends like Lumina. He had his weeks where he got overworked still and had to spend the day dodging the doc and his cousin if he wanted to get anything done but life was good.

    Alessia is constantly aware of the world around her and embraces it all. She's one to rarely be overwhelmed and finds such a rush in being with others and being able to help others. One could easily describe her as motherly, especially when she takes a vested interest in the lives of others. Her closest friend is her own instincts which have rarely steered her wrong on when to intervene. After all, she'd just as easily be called nosy if not for her general good sense of what others are feeling. Realistically, that would be unlikely to stop her though. She's a meddler at heart, but she does always have the best intentions.
    
    In terms of her strongest part of her personality, it has to be her absolutely wild nature. Her emotions are often on full display as she rarely holds anything back. It made her easily side into the center spotlight as a kid. While she enjoyed her visits to her cousin's as Kore was everything she could want when it came to untapped adventure, even in her life at the city she found was to make the world seem grander. She takes the time to enjoy the unexpected in her life and encourages others to do the same. Every twist and turn of life should be viewed as a new challenge or game to win.
    
    Don't mistake her for just going with the flow though, even though she's got an unrestrained side she does what she needs to. The business world is cut-throat and she knows better than to put play before work. Every day she lists what she needs to do, and while it may not be done first, she's always going to make sure it is done even if that means that sleeps going to need to take a backseat for the day. Just as she juggles a social scene she's learned to juggle her commitments, often saying no to others even as she plans to do it. After all, so long as she doesn't agree then she can't let anyone down if she can't do it.
    
    For every good, there's someone who takes it a bit too far. While Alessia is not a mean, stubborn, or inflexible person with her opinions she is a bossy one. She's got what one would call a "commanding" personality. Since most of her childhood friends and her younger members of her family tended to fall in line with her wild plans she got unused to hearing "no". She tends to be more interested in being denied and finds it as an opportunity to debate, something she absolutely loves.

    History:
    Alessia was raised outside of Kore in a city called, Jupiter. For a good period of time she was raised alongside her elder sister, Arianna, and her Elder brother, Mirko, to take over the family business. While she showed no initial calling for the job, Alessia was also the only one that didn't show initial disdain for it. Even so, she still wasn't one to be cooped up in a storefront and often found herself stumbling out as her father would be teaching her siblings the ins and outs of the business. Her mother would take notice and file it away for a conversation later. For the first twelve years of her life, it would be a cycle of school, learning the family business, and sleep only being broken by her need to sneak away for adventures with her best friend, Kei, or their own monthly visits to her cousin's house.
    
    It wasn't until her twelfth birthday until this changed. Her birthday present was a training sword as her mother brought her to the side to explain that she saw a good head on her daughter's shoulders but that if she never learned to control her impulses and her own boundless energy then even things she wished to do would one day feel like a chore. From then on Alessia took those words to heart learning to balance her life a bit better. After all, she may have frequently left her father's teaching but running the business was what she wanted to do. She just had never known how to start if she couldn't even stay focused through a lesson. Hunter's gift just added on to her change, an adorable rucksack made for a true adventurer. She began to see her interests and her goals align as she focused more on her father's lessons. Fair prices and sales would help keep the store afloat and draw customers in but to keep them you had to have something all your own. For her father, that was the community, the feeling that you weren't forgotten and just a number in the throws of the city. For Alessia, she would be sure to have the widest variety. Somethings just couldn't be stocked up through normal means and as an adventurer and future business owner, she would make sure that anything she couldn't stock she'd find.
    
    Around the age of seventeen, she would already be taking over a store of the family business on the outskirts of Jupiter. She was young but she was determined with a staff of twelve she had very little room for error. With her father always there to turn to if she needed a push in the right direction. While the store did okay it was clear she was out of her element in the big city. She would fight this losing battle for several years, often barely scraping by with a profit to show, as her will started to get weaker as Kei went off to study and hone his own craft. It wasn't until her Hunter called her finally breaking down with his own emotions about being left alone with the inn that she realized she wanted to go support him. Her own store wasn't thriving under her management, she cared little for the city itself once her only friend left, she wanted a chance to truly shine on her own, so it wasn't a truly unselfish decision. She would dot her I's and cross her t's being the very model manager the store needed while slowly phasing in Arianna as the new leader of the store, who'd managed to become a much better fit for the city life.
    
    One year later she had bought out and reconstructed one of the few stores in Kore making a place for herself. The first year was a struggle and a learning experience. The next would be an almost complete revisiting as she hired a worker or two, and got used to fixing things on her own. Her store was quirky, just like her, often filled with everything you needed and everything you never wanted to see. She loved the store and her new home. If she happened to scare a few by with her pets, Oozles and Alabaster, she would hardly notice. After all, life was looking up for both her and Hunter.

    Makana is a woman of pure optimism. She tries to find the good in every situation and rarely thinks of the negative consequences of her actions. In her life, she runs off the idea that so long as someone's intentions are good that they will reach another and touch their hearts. Often times she fails to acknowledge that good results don't justify the means. A rose-tinted life is one she consciously chooses as she doesn't want to deal with sad emotions and prefers to just say, "Well it's gonna get better!". In some ways she lets her optimism become escapism.
    
    While it's natural that it goes hand in hand Kana is someone who knows how to relax and indulges in it quite frequently. Her idea of a perfect afternoon is one where she grabs some friends, go out, and play all afternoon. She an adult that avoids adulting when she can, even her job down at the coffee shop gives her plenty of downtime to go around and talk all day with the customers. While it could be said that she's being lazy or childish she'd easily debate that saying that she can put effort into her passions, always gets her work done timely, and that relaxing is human nature. Granted just because she's a functional lazy childish adult doesn't mean that these claims aren't true.
    
    Let an interesting idea or concept fly by and you'll see Kana come alive. She loves to figure out how things tick. A new robot, an interesting philosophical topic, or even a new type of fabric? All of these switches her into her most hyper mode. While Kana may be physically lazy she loves to think and dissect an issue, problem-solving and studies have always come easy to her.
    
    But one huge flaw in her personality is that she is stubbornly following her own pace. She rarely respects rules or authority, yes she definitely had a rebel goth phase, which means that she rarely holds down a job that isn't run by her own friends and family. She also finds herself starting a fair deal of problems without meaning to since she lashes out at others trying to tell her how to live her life or do her work.     History:
    Makana Mayumi Roxas, a name but also a title, "A Genuinely Beautiful Gift". As the youngest of the Roxas, she grew up surrounded by the whole of her family trying to influence her decisions. Her parents though on the older side and caught through a few generational gaps when interacting with Makana never once failed to show their love for their children. Makana was doted on especially since she was born after the doctors had already said the parents were unlikely to have another child, while she was anticipated to have less than stellar health Kana arrived and stayed with a clean bill of health all her childhood. Unlike all her siblings that were born in the city, the possibility that their youngest could be less than healthy sent them packing for their hometown, Kore. It was easy to move back into the old house they left behind as the deed was still in the Roxas name. The house had gone through better years but the kids all did their part in helping fix it up and eventually, they had accidentally doubled its size. The Roxas family had returned to their ancestral home, one that hadn't been occupied in nearly fifty years.
    
    The house was back, but they still need money. This, of course, was clear as day. Thanks to their parents traveling the world in their teens and well into their late thirties they had more than enough experiences to bring back to Kore. As a solution, they built up Dream Drop, a place where the different areas of the world meet. While they were definitely getting older they would hold down the coffee shop for years to come until one of their younger children, Kalani, was old enough to demand that her parents rest in ease as they reached their sixties and were "Far too old to be burning themselves, go teach Kana how to cook". So Dream drop would continue on and they would take full responsibility for raising Makana who had now reached the young age of ten as they handled merely the business aspects of Dream Drop. Or that's what would have happened had they listened. Instead, they went back into their traveling ways. Their kids were now mostly of age, excluding Kana who loved their old stories of travel anyways, so now was their time to live as they loved. With occasional trips back to visit or take Kana with if it was nearing summer vacation, they left to explore all that the world had to offer.
    
    This meant that in between her life at Kore, filled with school and life's simple pleasures, Kana would be whisked away to faraway cities and areas of the earth that would be breathtaking. She loved it but coming back home was always her sanctuary. Kore was her rock, her comfort, her safety. While the world outside was wonderous it was also dangerous and on more than one occasion her aging parents nearly didn't make it home. Kore was where she would stay, even as her elder siblings moved on and moved out, either to follow in her parents' ways or to go seek out the life they wanted. Soon all that was left in that large house was herself, Ikaika, and Kalani. Even as KD offered to let her move in with him she declined instead wanting to stay in her home filled with memories, and if a pretty girl might have been involved as well then one can only blame Leo.

He's not malicious in the slightest but he likes to think of himself as better than adults and has quite the problem with those who look down on another for their age. To him Skill is everything.     When it comes to romance he's jumping in far faster than a kid his age should. Once again he's a precocious little shit. He's easily found flirting up the ladies, even if they are quite a bit older than him. It's obviously an act to look older than he is but even if it is a bit obvious of a tactic its a solid one.     History:
    Mason's been popular all his life. When he was young he was everyone's favorite baby and his elder brother, Jasper, gave him so much shit for it. Not that his elder brother wasn't popular actually he's the one that Mason learned all his tricks from. The boys were close even when Jasper was teasing Mason. Jasper is Mason's biggest role model, even Mason chasing down an actor's life has to due with his brother. After all his brother is a proper model, with all that entails.
    
    Their parents while great, always worried heavily for the two. This meant they were usually dragging the two away from potential opportunities in the name of doing what's best for their childhood. Wystan specifically did his best to keep his boys far from the limelight having been raised in the environment of showbiz thanks to his own parents. Still even with the petty arguments that the boys got into with their dad they still always found themselves being dragged back by their mother, Opal, after a nice stern talking. All in all the family is quite close.
    
    It was no more than three years ago that the Ainsworths moved to Kore. A last-ditch attempt for Wystan to drag his boys away from their fifteen minutes of fame. Granted it's no more than a road bump as they've been doing their best to get noticed any time they go to visit the city. Mike has naturally wavy hair, which causes him no end of distress. Somewhat handsome but to actually show this off would require two hot showers a change in fashion and a actual effort into appearing as a happy sober person.

Personality:
Mike is kinda lazy. He is often seen wearing a dumb expression on his face and spends his days lounging around doing whatever. Due to his poverty and unwillingness to get a real job, he is has become something of a adept adventurer. However, even though he is lazy, Mike is quite dedicated to his care free job and tries to help people with the best of his abilities (usually in a very strange and twisted way). He is sarcastic and unattached but he values connections more than anyone would care to admit. For the most part, Mike is content with hanging out with his friends. However different aspects of his personality emerge depending on the situation. He can be characterized as cowardly and rude, but others might claim he is a unwavering and will die for someone who he cares about. Background:
Mike grew up in the city only visiting violet meadows when the family would visit grandpa Ceede. It was most likely those visits that cemented the dream and vision of growing up to be a man like grandpa. Mike thought the world of his grandfather and still does to this day. When his grandfather died mike ended up dropping out of university and becoming a bit of a burn out with a shitty job living in a shitty area.
(It was during this time Mike dated and broke up many times with Mary Jane/bring a child into the world)

Background: Formally the daughter of the Sapphire family, Emily was born into a world where many outside it would think she would grow to be some sort of a rich spoiled brat. Seeing this as the last straw Emily ran away from home with the help of her personal maid and mother figure Summer. She would be sent to Core with a letter address to Hunter made by Summer asking him to take care of her until she's ready to stand on her own feet. She now lives at the inn and works for Dream Drop as their waitress.

  There was a time where Leo, who was in a state of melancholic inebriety at the time, took to imagining himself, his being, as the very ships that had once taken him to the polar ends years ago. Almost instantly he corrected himself, as it wasn't just the ship but the entire polar waters he placed bits and pieces of himself. The ship just happened to be what he decided is the person that he allowed most people to see.
  
  (Later, in a more sober state, he would realize just how pointlessly flowery and without depth his musings had been, not to mention the many holes in the logic. However he did think that the self-evaluation was spot on.)
  
  Inside the decks and hull are the heartbeat of life, in there was the seemingly easy-going man who tends to give the impression of somebody one could easily get along with. A tad eccentric and a touch unpredictable in conversation. He’s someone who isn’t afraid to use awkward pauses, making short stories long and even throw out lines that teeter between flirtatious and joking. Honorable to a degree, entirely unwilling to ever go back on his word even if it becomes a real nuisance at times. Then there is the man with a long existing (although somewhat shaken) confidence which is plentiful yet quiet, a trait that sometimes surprises when it does show itself. And there is the man who never takes himself too seriously, one who would rather hear about another's life than tell his own.
  
  Yet, beyond the warmth and life is a frigid world. There are no other ships within a hundred miles, an obvious metaphor for the loneliness his way of life had caused. Something that had not been so troublesome until he looked up and saw nobody as far as the eye could see. Of course he had reprives from the feeling, but they were usually short lived. There was one notable exception, a farmer family he spent time working for that he tried to keep in touch with. Had life not taken him elsewhere he would have liked to spend more time with them.
  
  But it was the ice where his real baggage lie. Sludge ice, the floating expanse all around which hinted of trouble ahead but was easy to plow through, are those self-depreciative jabs he takes at himself. Never too serious but hinting of a man who questions, perhaps even regrets his own life choices.
  
  Sail further and the sludge quickly becomes pack ice, an expansive mass of ice able, and more than willing as Leo found out once, to entrap ships in a frigid embrace. That is his simple inability to forgive himself for not being there when his mom needed him. Some days he thinks himself still trapped, slowly being squeezed like an egg in his palm while other days the ice has thawed enough for him to escape.

  Every story has its beginning, and for Leo that was the Sacred Heart, an orphanage ran by a portly priest and a coddling nun. Yet, even though his few fleeting memories of that time are pleasant, he considers his meeting with his adoptive mother as his true beginning. An adventurer starting to grow long in the tooth, she was finally ready to settle down and wanting a quiet life with open space, she decided on the sleepy village of Kore. Leo was a spunky little brat then, maybe a tad too headstrong as kids can be while already showing the early signs of an adventurer’s spirit.
  
  Between training and pursuing his own interests he wasn't a constant presence afterschool, but being the older, more adventurous kid meant he had some duties. Teenage wisdom, grabbing kites out of trees, and maybe sweeping away some trouble that the adults were better off not knowing about to name a few.
  
  To probably nobody’s surprise Leo left the village at tender age of eighteen -only a couple days away from nineteen-. Glory was what he chased and there just wasn’t enough in the tiny village to keep him. For years his returns were infrequent and often short, each time he had more stories to tell. From a shipwreck to a cave-in or two and maybe even a time he was coerced into being a rather strange town’s sheriff. It was after the latter that he learned of his mother’s death, a sudden and all too soon end for the one who shaped Leo’s very being. He would only stay in the village long enough for everything to be settled, then he was gone again. Years would pass and the farm would begin to decay, until, as unceremoniously as ever Leo returned. For a time he lived in the inn while the house was renovated. Since then he has quietly tried to breathe life into the farm.

Personality: She's goofy, floofy, and very easily impressed. While she may have acquired the ultimate title of "Dr. Mackenzie", academics are the only things she is actually capable at. Common sense? We don't know her. She has a sweet, soft, empty head at all times unless it involves nature and science and bugs. Hollie can be found either climbing trees and stuffing jars with leaves or digging through the muck on the hunt for frogs. Her true happy place is just existing in the world. She's super spacey but also completely honest about what she is thinking at any moment - often lacking a filter and acting obliviously to the consequences it might carry.

As a teacher, she undoubtedly cares for her students but often finds herself outwitted by them.
“So many of the pets in this town have such strange cravings for homework… maybe I should make them some treats.”
Her excitement especially toward the sciences hopefully rubs off on her students, although the horde of little bug boxes and net enclosures littering the classroom probably help. She likes to get as hands on as possible when it comes to learning and being curious which usually leaves her with mud all over at least one article of clothing. Not that she minds at all.

Background: Hollie was never particularly immersed in her environment from a young age. She wasn’t one of those children who ran around outside and jumped in puddles, or made mudpies and shampoo smoothies. It wasn’t until high school when people really started showing their true colors that she turned to nature for more reliable friendship. Apparently being good at school and respectful to teachers wasn’t such a good thing for your social life? Who’da thunk? Hollie never took it all to heart, although it was disappointing to be left behind because of silly things like grades or who else you hung out with. Nature never had anything like that. She never ever cried over losing a friend or being called floaty or stupid, mostly because she didn’t care but also because that’s just how she had to act to get people to hang around. It wasn’t like she really had any particular interests or obsessions like other girls. She went to college because pursuing education seemed like a natural path for someone with her grades, and it was there she found her spark in the sciences.

Hollie snagged more than a few degrees in biology and ecology, but what was next? More education and research, of course. It wasn’t like she was actually good at anything else, not that she minded. A Ph.D came next, and while exploring opportunities for the future she found herself collecting beetles in Kore for a summer and fell in love immediately. It’s the messy, fun, carefree childhood she never really realized she missed out on, but now she lives it to the fullest. The teaching position is only an anchor to the beautiful and mysterious landscape, but now that she has a passion she’s very excited to pass on her knowledge, as limited as it may be.

Does she have any teaching experience? Of course not. Does she know what she’s talking about? Maybe? Does she enjoy doing it anyway? Definitely.

Personality:
Witty, aloof, and attentive is what makes Blythe come off as your typical "cool" bartender. She doesn't easily reveal personal information but happens to have a vague story that parlays into some cryptic advice for every situation. Her adviseful stories come out like second nature though she seldom takes advice for herself. She'd much rather fail and learn than take a lesson from someone else. The woman claims that it makes her feel more alive and connected to her environment. Taking that fact in, one would expect her to be patient and forgiving, but she has a surprisingly short temper. She hides her annoyance well, but a cryptic order or one too many failed attempts at a mobile game puzzle adds 5 more minutes of destressing on the heavy punching bag. Who even orders a dried cherry plum in a hat with a sprinkle of perfume anyways?

With all of the work and irregular hours that go into running the bar, her domestic skills are rather lacking. Or, well, it's more accurate to say that she hasn't invested any effort into up keeping a place that practically no one will ever see. Despite all the fancy spirits at her business, she's easily satisfied with some cheap beer and instant noodles to end off the day.

Blythe "By" Carolinia was born to a rather affluent family with a rich history rooted in tradition. One such tradition was that the details of their history and intricacies of their rituals were reserved for the first born of the family. Blythe was not the first born. No, she was number 2, the youngest, of her family. It was her older brother, Charles, who was tasked with the upkeep and progress of the family's wealth, and Blythe just happened to be along for the ride. However, unlike most youngest siblings, she was not given the freedom typically associated with such a position. Instead, she was something like a glorified, unpaid personal assistant to Charles. She made sure he got to his lessons on time, set out his agenda, and basically laid out his day for it to go as smoothly as possible; and while it was strenuous labor, as long as the work got done, she was allowed to pursue whatever her heart wanted in her free time.

There were two problems to that little reprieve though. First, she didn't get much free time as her time was usually split between her own studies and assisting her brother. Secondly, when her brother finally stepped up to tell their parents he didn't want his younger sister to waste her life on him, her habits had been so ingrained into her personality that she didn't have a clue what she wanted to do with all her free time. There was just that tugging feeling that she should be doing something productive, something passionate, but she didn't know what it was. She ended up drifting through her university life until she was picked up by an extroverted, ambitious woman.

Her name was Elizabeth, though she preferred to go by Lizzie. There was this instant attraction between the two. Lizzie's fiery personality warmed Blythe's heart, while Blythe's cool, witty demeanor kept Lizzie intrigued. It was like a game of cat and mouse to see who could make the other fall in love harder. Blythe lost pretty badly. She was infatuated with Elizabeth throughout their time in Uni. Using her connections, she helped land Lizzie some choice interviews with big corporate wigs. They traveled to different countries, went on road trips, and even met each other's families.

Everyone around them thought they'd last forever, and both Blythe and Elizabeth happily thought the same. However, in the back of her head, there was this pestering fog telling her that sticking with Elizabeth was the wrong choice. It told her that she was being swept up in her lover's pace. She didn't even have a dream of her own yet, and she was already so close to sealing her fate as Elizabeth's girlfriend or Lizzie's wife. Just like how she was Charles' sister or assistant when she was younger, if she kept on following Elizabeth like a lovestruck puppy, she'll always be the player 2 of her life.

It was when she was having thoughts like this that Elizabeth approached her days before graduation with exciting news. She was offered a position at an esteemed financial firm across the country. The pay was decent, but they said she had high potential to move up quickly in the ranks. Lizzie wanted Blythe to come live with her across the country. Blythe wasn't as excited about the news as Lizzie, and she noticed. It was then that Lizzie emphasized Blythe's lack of direction, and how she had nothing to lose by coming to live with her across the country. That day was when the couple had their first major fight.

Blythe didn't show up to the graduation ceremony. In fact, she never showed up in Lizzie's life after the fight. She became a bartender, serving drinks and advice one glass at a time.

Recently, word of Elizabeth coming back from her position has led Blythe to move shop in the sleepy town of Kore. Hopefully, this time around she'll be the one in charge of her own life.

They say that the traits of a good actor, in no particular order, are intelligence, humility, eagerness, adventurous, playfulness, and humorous. Jamie is all of these and then some. He's quite aware that his success was mostly owed to luck and connections, so he hasn't let any fame get to his head. Instead, he may have taken his humility too far as to be overly grateful for even the smallest of favors; and while he doesn't mind the spotlight, he doesn't actively seek it out. The young man just enjoys being around and interacting with others. His positive attitude and desire to make sure everyone is having a good time just gives him the inclination to be in it. He does his best when he's working to make someone else's life better.

Some would describe him as blunt, but it's more like words just spew from his mouth before he's processed what he's saying. This has led to him saying one thing then immediately back tracking on that thought. For example, there've been many occasions where he's blurted out of nowhere how cute someone's eyelashes were, how nice their skin was, or how scary would look to kids. He usually doesn't mean anything malicious, but it typically does reveal his first impression of a person.

James "Jamie" Belle was born to a director and an actress. Both were rather unknown outside of the community circle they held their plays in, but they were passionate about the craft all the same. They were always filled with some fantastical, bubbly energy that when their child was born it was no coincidence that his head was always in the clouds.

He wasn't spoiled per se, but he's also never encountered a situation to dampen his optimistic view on the world. It was this quality of his, on top of his overactive imagination, that defined his acting career. Unlike his parents, Jamie wanted to break out of local theatre; he wanted to be on the big screen, and, with the help of some wealthy, enthusiastic fans of his parents, he was able to audition for higher profile movies that beginners like himself would've never been invited to. Of course, he didn't get the roles. He wasn't an acting prodigy. The young boy fell into the traps of overacting, underacting, and being embarrassed over the things he'd be required to do.

Instead, he worked small roles in his parent's plays, commercials, and small movies. Through trial and error, he slowly corrected his weaknesses until he finally got a significant supporting role in a high profile movie. He was 14 when his career took off. Usually casted in children's adventure movies about the power of friendship and all that, he was typically the one best friend that tells the hero in their darkest time to believe in themselves and that they could do it. It wasn’t until he was 18 that he got his first leading role in The Secret of Jane’s Smile. It was a romantic drama for an audience slightly more mature than he was used to entertaining. New transfer boy and loner high school girl shenanigans was the basic archetype. The movie was met with mostly positive reviews, and he charmed the audience with his bright doe eyes and loyalty to the female lead.

There was still the same criticism that followed him throughout all the media he’s starred in: he was too optimistic. Sure, he could act sad when he needed to, but, when the inevitable flip between the darkest moment and climax in hero movies occurred, he was just too fast to switch over. It was like whiplash for how fast he went from sad to happy. While this didn’t ruin his movies, it did emphasize his immaturity and the reason why he was type casted as the happy go lucky character.

So, now that he’d broken through with his first main role, Jamie felt that he had the privilege of halting his acting career to pursue more practical experience. He went to school, made friends, and got a part time job all in the pursuit of that one unidentifiable thing he was missing.

Recently, his adventures have taken him to Kore as he followed his childhood friend, Blythe, like a golden retriever.

Personality: To put it shortly, Rui is a certified disaster, but in a charming way. They love teasing people and pulling pranks, especially on their brother Rix. However, if anybody else tries to mess with their twin they’ve got something else comin’ for them. Ever since they were kids Rui has felt some sort of protective responsibility over their kind sibling, despite being the physically weaker of the two. Bratty, smart-mouthed, childish, and nonchalant are all acceptable ways to describe them, but there is a sweet side to them as well. When it really comes down to it, they depend a lot on Rix - emotionally and also sometimes physically, especially during anemic episodes. Rui might also act shy around others when accompanied by Rix, but the switch completely flips when they stumble into a social interaction on their own.

Appearance and Physicality: Rui is quite the bean. A height of hardly 5’2” goes along with their childish personality, but don’t make fun of them for it or you might find worms in your mailbox. They love wearing mis-matched patterns and bright colors, despite having red-green dichromatism, meaning their world is made up of mostly blues and yellows and various shades of browns and greys where red and green should be (yet another aspect of their life Rix assists with when it comes to tailoring). On the opposite side of things, Rui is also anemic and occasionally goes through episodes of fatigue and weakness - they’re used to it at this point and can usually tell before the world starts spinning, though it’s obnoxious all the same, especially since Rui dislikes medicine and doctors. It isn’t uncommon to see them plastered in bandages and stickers to hide the little scratches and bruises from stumbling around. Rui wears them with pride.

Background: The twins have always been an inseparable pair and did everything together throughout their lives. In school Rui was always “protecting” their laid back brother while Rix tended to take on the voice of reason. Of course, as with any siblings, there was plenty of teasing happening at all times.

Rui never felt particularly drawn to either gender identity and was annoyed by the lack of colorful and inclusive options when it came to clothing - unless they were from the children’s rack which they unfortunately grew out of far more recently than they would like to admit. Around the time that Rix took a job with mail delivery, Rui started taking online art classes and sewing lessons so they could make and wear whatever they wanted. Since it was all mostly online, Rui got an idea. An idea born mostly out of never wanting to be separated from their sibling, but a great idea nonetheless.

Hence birthed the cute converted van-turned home and sewing studio all so the pair could go wherever they liked. Their little adventures brought them to Kore where there happened to be an unfilled tailoring market. Being together all the time was nice, but it was getting hard to trick Rix with the same old pranks. Living in Kore means plenty of brand new interesting people to mess with and watch, as well as a relatively steady supply of sweets.

Personality:
Lumina is a friendly and energetic girl, seen most often with a smile on her face. She enjoys the company of others and helping out wherever she can. But even more than all that, she loves being a blacksmith and all that comes with it. She loves crafting tools and objects from the ores and gems she mines, and she loves mining and searching for those precious materials just as much. You're most likely to find her either delving in the mine or at her forge, with a smile on her face the whole time. She does have a habit of getting overexcited when it comes to the things she likes and is passionate about, and can talk your ear off if given the chance. Even still, she does care deeply about the people in her life, and will forgo her own interests to help someone if they need it. She can be a bit naive and optimistic as well, but she'd prefer to live a positive life, feeling that it's the best way to live given her own personal situation. Her overly happy attitude occasionally acts as a mask to cover her own negative emotions surrounding her health problems. When it comes to her health problems, she tends to make them out to be less of an issue than they actually are.

Lumina adores blacksmithing, mining, ores, gems, and everything that comes with her job. She loves creating things with her own hands, and using her skills to be able to provide for others. She likes building as well, and will help out with any building projects people need. She loves a well cooked meal, and the occasional sweets (orange is her favorite fruit flavor). She also likes flowers, especially snowdrops. She also learned how to play violin growing up, and will play it every once in a while. She’s actually really quite good at it.

Dislikes/Fears:
She doesn't like talking about her illness as she doesn't want to worry people with her problems. She doesn't really dislike much else, though she's not particularly fond of fish, or mushrooms.

Background:
You'd never guess it by looking at her, but Lumina's been sick pretty much her entire life. She was born with a congenital heart condition that came with a slew of complications, so her parents moved themselves out to the valley when she was small to see if the change in scenery would help. The fresh air and small population of Kore Village seemed the perfect place to raise her given their circumstances, and it seemed to help at least marginally. Her father was a construction worker in the city, so he decided to take up smithing and carpentry in the village to help upkeep the town with whatever needed being done. Her mother was able to commute remotely with her job (Lumina didn't really know what it was her mother did), so the two were able to settle into the valley nicely. As Lumina grew up, her interest in what her father did grew as well, until she wanted to learn how to do what he did. Her parents figured it couldn't hurt, partially using this as a way to gauge their daughter's health improvements. To their surprise, her complications seemed to lessen as she grew stronger and learned more, and through this Lumina found her life's passion. To this day she still remembers making her first successful tool, a crude pickaxe, and she proudly hangs it on the wall of her house connected to her forge in town. When she was 18, her parents decided it was time to move back to the city, but she refused to go back, having fallen in love with the valley and the smithing and the building that needed doing with more young people moving to the valley again. Her parents weren't sure about this, considering her ongoing health problems and leaving their child alone, but Lumina assured them she would be fine, and eventually they agreed to let her stay. They send a letter every week or so, and always bug her to come back home in every letter they send. But Lumina never will; Kore Village of Violet Meadows is her home, and it's where she's meant to be. That was a few years ago, and Lumina is thriving in the village at 22 years old. Well, as much as she can when her health problems don't act up. Because of her habit of pushing herself too hard, she finds herself in the hospital more often than she or the doctor would like. Occasionally she'll have to stay in the hospital for extended periods of time when things get bad, but she bears with it, knowing that by getting better she can get back out to the mine again. Her life goal is to get to the bottom of the mine and see what she can find down there.

Other:
Lumina describes her illness as "a congenital heart condition plus some". Her heart has had issues since birth, and had an operation on it when she was around 3 years old to try and help fix it, and has a huge scar on her torso from it (she intentionally hides this so people don't talk about it). Because of its complexity, Lumina faces a slew of complications like anemia, passing out, coughing up blood, an occasionally irregular heartbeat, bouts of chronic fatigue, and some breathing problems among others. Usually these complications will come and go, but when they persist and stick around is when Lumina finds herself staying in the hospital/clinic for extended stays. It could be said that Elliot is the polar opposite of his sister Lumina. Where she's bubbly, optimistic, and outgoing, Elliot is reserved, realistic, and blunt. He takes things seriously, and for being an artist, he doesn't express much. At least when it comes to his emotions. Though he might be on the quieter and stoic side, don't let that fool you into thinking that Elliot doesn't care. He's actually quite kind and caring, going out of his way to help people when they need it just like his sister. He's very dedicated to what he wants to do, to the point of being stubborn. He would never admit it, but he's like his sister in a lot of ways. He can be quite self-critical, especially when it comes to his art. It's not that he doesn't feel a wide variety of emotions, he just doesn't show them very well. Also depending on the situation, he can become quite flustered and shy. He gets more animated and excited when talking about his art, though he doesn't always realize he does this.

Background:
Elliot Arthur Silvers is the oldest of the two children of Nicolai and Elizabeth Silvers. He had a pretty good childhood with a nice group of friends and a good upbringing from his parents. From a young age, he always had an affinity for the arts - drawing, painting, photography, any and all kinds of artistic outlets he could get his hands on. Thankfully his parents encourages his passions, and they are now how he makes his living. Though he's a more reserved boy, he was over the moon happy when his little sister Lumina was born. He doted on her as a good big brother should, even with her being sick. There's only so much a 6 year old can do at that point, so at the very least he made a bunch of drawings for her for their parents to hang up to make her feel better. At least, that's how he put it. Even though he loved her a lot, he couldn't help but feel some jealousy for how much attention their parents were giving her. Over time, he grew to resent hospitals, because to them all they meant was that his sister was sick and his parents had to dedicate more time to her than to him.

So after Lumina's most recent (successful) surgery when she was three (and he now 9 years old), it actually upset him when his parents announced they would be moving out of the city and into a remote little village an hour plus away. That ate at Elliot, because on one hand he wanted his sister to get better, but on the other hand his whole life was about to be uprooted. But being as young as he was, Elliot didn't have a choice, and the family of four moved out to Kore Village that Spring. As much as he didn't like having to move, he couldn't deny that it was actually really inspiring for the artist in him, even being younger than 10. Now with being in an unfamiliar setting and with no friends, Elliot became even more withdrawn and secluded, preferring to go off by himself and draw or paint or take pictures all day. 9 years later, when he was 18, he made the choice to move back to the city, not knowing that 6 years later his parents would do the same. He had gotten a really good opportunity to take an internship at a well-recognized studio, and didn't want to miss it. Plus, it seemed like Lumina was actually getting a little better, and had her friends, so he didn't really see the need to stay anymore. Once he moved back to the city, he stayed there for almost 10 years before he got a message from their parents asking him to move back to Kore. Turns out Lumina had decided to stay there permanently, and they were getting worried. Without even a second thought he dropped everything, packed up all he owned, and began to make his way back toward the village he partly grew up in. While there, he plans to make his living by continuing to create and sell his art both to the residents and to the city through the connections he made there. He keeps an eye out for his younger sister... and anyone who seems like they might have an interest in her.

Personality:
Rix is a pretty chill dude. Preferring to go with the flow and not let the little things upset him. Except of course, when his sibling Rui is involved. Even then, it takes a while to really get under his skin. In many ways, he is their compliment. Nothing really gets down his cheery attitude unless they're actively trying. In reality, he just wants to live his life the way he wants, with his sibling by his side. No rules, no expectation, just having a good time all around. Generally that means going along with whatever Rui ends up wanting to do, but they're okay with that.

Background:
Rix and Rui have basically been stuck together as a pair since they were born. Where Rui was bright and passionate, Rix took a more laid back approach. Both balancing each other out, and filling the gaps when needed. The two had a pretty normal childhood, aside from the growing question of gender both seemed to go through at the same time, much to the chagrin of their parents. Along with this came the desire to go out and travel, so that's what they did. Converting a bus into a home, the two set off and eventually found themselves at the small village of Kore, where Rui was able to put her talents for creating clothing to good use. Rix was able to use some connections from home to land the job of delivering mail for the village and the nearby city. It's been a nice change of pace for the both of them.

The ever-busy man that is Joshua. Known for his active listening and responsible attitude. A simple man who only wishes to see the best of those he loves dearest. Born to a faraway province. He is the 5th generation of the gatherers, a strong lineage that he almost broke with a personal expectation to become something more. His parents ever so kind like him, supports his dream despite the legacy before him. It took him years to convince his parents before they finally officially enrolled him. He only lasted a year into the school, before the most devastating storm ravaged the Nilsson wheat field. The fields were all so wide ruined within only one night. There was no chance of fighting back against the forces of nature. His education was stopped in order to save money to save the field's fee for repairs as their home too was damaged.

With little option left they have to flee to another place. A place that is abundant of harvest. Violet Meadows was the only place the mother and father could find. Buying an old land available to start over again. In hopes this time, Joshua may have to hold on to his dream for now. His feet shall return again into the wheat fields. Making new friends in Violet Meadows while at the same time helping his two younger siblings adapt to the new environment. ​

If one were to describe the boy in one word is that he is... Determined! When he wants something he'll do all he can to get it. If one were to search the internet and search for the word "shy". Chloe may as well be one of the stock image candidates. The girl could be the epitome of shyness. Hardly speaks to other people that are not her family. One would mistake her as a mute when in reality she takes a long time to carefully filter her words to only say pleasant things, which can be bad as it could lead to lying, and would often find herself tangled in a web of her own lies. Backgrounds:
While there isn't much to say about the history of the children but they have been schooling since nursery. It wasn't the best experience for the two for both had been bullied in their respective class.   On the outside, Rhys is a calculated individual. He is focused and gets his work done, and all while walking with grace and a slight hint of arrogance. And it would seem like that work is all that matters to him. Rhys sometimes acts in a cold manner, leading some to believe he's simply heartless. However, Rhys's true personality shines in the details of his actions. After knowing him for a while, you'd hear the soft words he offers to upset patients. Or how he might bend the rules a bit to let someone visit past the clinic's closing hours. Maybe you'd see him checking up on the farmers, making sure none of them have passed out from exhaustion.   Background:
  Rhys comes from a fairly wealthy family. He has always wanted to help others when he grew up. Rhys developed that from his parents, who used their money to donate to public works projects, charities, and local hospitals. Inspired by his parents, Rhys debated relentlessly about what career would be best suited for him, and discovered being a doctor might be the perfect career. Rhys fought his way through medical school, refusing to let anything even attempt to ruin his shot at his dream. After becoming a full-fledged doctor, he started a job in the city hospital. And that's when things went... downhill. After a few months of working at the hospital, Rhys began to notice some alarming traits about his fellow doctors. The aloof manner they talked to staff, the careless diagnoses they gave to patients, and how money always seemed to be the top priority on their minds, not the patient's wellbeing. Doctors like those were truly despicable in Rhys's eyes. To be like them, he assessed, would be failing at his dream. So, Rhys decided to start a clinic away from the city. However, this came at the cost of the relationship between him and his sisters. Amara, one of two twins, became upset with Rhys for leaving their family, and is currently giving him the silent treatment, despite Rhys's calls and letters. While his other sister, Freya, didn't exactly agree with Amera's sentiments, she only sends impersonal letters every so often. Still, having his own clinic was Rhys's new dream. Rhys still sends letters back to his family in hopes of repairing their relationship, hoping that one day, they'll understand.

  Rhys took ballet classes when he was a teenager. While his ballet days are long behind him, Rhys could still do a mean Sissonne.
  
  Despite his best efforts, Rhys is terrible at baking. He can cook okay enough, but when it comes to baking, it seems he fails to make something edible every time.
