Vincent Deany
Age: 25
Role: Navigator
Gender: Male
Personality
Personality: Vincent is very honest with his feelings, and will do things based purely on his instincts alone. This could be seen as both a negative and positive trait in his personality; on one hand, someone who has just met him might feel like he is a little too harsh with how he expresses his opinions, and those who work with him as a navigator might feel that he is a little too reckless in how he chooses to travel to a destination, perhaps traveling a little too close to danger, just to save a couple of weeks in their traveling time.
History
Being a void borne, the name given to someone who was conceived in space, Vincent was, almost literally, born to travel amonst the starts, and with the guidance of his father, he quickly learnt the ropes on how to behave within a crew, as well as taught him the basics of navigation - something that he would later further pursuit as a career. After reaching an old enough age, Vincent felt the need to leave his 'mother ship', the one that he was born in, and finally join an official crew, where he would be able to make a living for himself. With the help of the captain from his old ship, using the connections that he had with other cargo ship captains, allowed Vincent to quickly find a job as an assistant on a run of the mil cargo ship named 'The Merlini', where he trailed an old navigator who had his sights on retiring, and was looking for a replacement, someone who could take over his position after he finally hangs up his hat.
Though he hoped for a much longer stay on The Merlini, though after hearing about the retirement of the old navigator, the whole group decided that it would be the best idea to go with him. While he understood their decision, they were just a bunch of old friends who started a small business together and it would only make sense for them to go out together, though their decision left Vincent both jobless and homeless, and being the stubborn kid that he was, he didn't want to rely on his parents for money again. Desperate for a crew and income, Vincent got involved with, let's just say, rather unsavory groups and landed himself a job navigating a ship for various pirates, and though he was not very proud of it - certainly not something that he would put on his list of achievements - it made enough money for him to live and sustain himself for a while. Although he does not like to admit it, Vincent did learn a lot from during his time wandering from crew to crew, mainly, the ability to navigate through dangerous asteroid belts without the use of advance instruments; it wasn't uncommon for pirate ships to have outdated, or just flat out broken pieces of instruments.
Then, the war happened. It was an understatement to say that traveling using a small ship that was not a part of a fleet during the time was dangerous, in fact, some would say it was suicidal to do such a thing. No matter who's side you are on, the forces wouldn't risk having an unmarked ship in it's vicinity, especially not a pirate's; death on sight was almost guaranteed. Using this time to catch a breath, and reflect on the previous actions that has pushed him to this outcome, Vincent decided it would be best for him, in the long run, to finally distant himself from his shady past, and move on to a more official, stable job; one that, at the very least, doesn't leave him having to deal with a half broken gyroscope while trying to dodge his way through an asteroid field.
Running out of reserved money, Vincent would find himself looking for a job again, an advent that would eventually lead him towards joining the crew of the Bloody Tail.
Weapon of Choice: While he would much rather prefer not to be in combat, Vincent does keep a small pistol with him, which at least allows him to protect himself from immediate danger.
