Sorry I would prefer not to. Ghosts wont have a big part in the story so there shouldnt be a main character thats a ghost.

I mean he can manipulate and create fire (pyrokinesis?) use it as a form of armor that burns the object used for attacking him, use a flame to guide his way and then also use fire to heal and gain strength right? Hmm that sound more like a type of magic to me then a power, a power is something a witch can use without tools, spells, potions etc... Like conjuring objects, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, geokinesis, talking to animals, ghostwhispering, reanimation, being a medium, etc... Or did I misunderstand your explanation by any chance?

Oh, okay, then to clarify, a witch could theoretically do anything with the right tools, spells and whatever else? If so, then that settles what I'm going for! I'll just need to change up the type of magic and powers.

My character is mostly up, I just want you to look over the powers and make sure they're okay. She might be a little strong, but it's balanced by the fact that she's very inexperienced.

You were completely right about him having too much going on lol I got rid of the cloak thing and just left him with a healing ability that does have some drawbacks so that he can't just recover at no price.

I think now its a lot better : ) the powers seem strong but in a way its acceptable so your all good where powers are concerned.

Not really I will wait a couple of days so that those that posted a placeholder can finish their characters and if there are any people that didn't post their CS yet they will have a chance to do so and then I will start accepting characters. It will also give me time to write up all the information needed for the RP and post it in a thread.

Yep if you have the right spell and tools needed (or ritual) then indeed there are a lot of thinks a witch can do, just some spells are rare and hard to come by while some are easy to find.

Maybe how would spells work? What I threw out earlier was a suggestion, but would incantations be a requirement for those without the right affinity for the type? And what kind? Short Latin ones like in Harry Potter? Or, I don't know, poetry-like stuff?

Also, since spell making is possible, would like to know the process of making one.

Making spells would require the knowledge of the right combination of ingredients and use of words to get the desired effect. Like maybe a spell to attract your true love: you might use roses, red candles, maybe a crystal that is used for love spells (rose quartz maybe?)a paper to write down what you desire in a partner, a spell that states what you lack and what you wish the spell to do (or just a spell you can look up on the internet this is just an example) : ) I hope that clears things up a bit?

Sure does, thanks! Also, largely out of curiosity, on a meta level, how would spell making work? As in, for us as players seeking to create one. Step one would obviously be to run it by you, duh, but is that it? Or would it be restricted, or maybe even discouraged?

Well I am pretty much okay with it. As long as it's not something too fantastical it should be cool.
Also easier spells that accomplish smaller goals could even only need a spell where you only use an incantation or a charm for it to work.

Pthenora At the risk of seeming too bare bones, can I check if what I got can be considered sufficient? The Personality and Biography tabs are really experimental, so they might work for you or they might not. Do tell though, I still consider this a WIP with more room for revision subject to your approval. (Though, of course, you must note that I'm lazy and liable to go forward without a care if you so much as say "okay").

For Personality, less is more, I hope. The goal is to get the point about her being warm and gentle when calm and potentially, literally mad when mad with the tendency to run away.
The Biography tab is just an attempt at subverting expectations. Everyone tends to prefer tragic backstories so I went the complete other way and gave her an idealistic one.

People in the RP don't know since demons are really rare (dark magic is strictly forbidden and severely punished, well the bigger spells, witches still can use small spells that are more of a grayish dark area). I was thinking there could be two different types. One would be the damned that used to be either human or witches and did something to land them in hell as a demon and then there would be the more powerful ones that are born in hell (from fallen angels that mutated into demons, you know typical demons from legends). But I am open to suggestions on this : )
