Gear
I silently test my powers by summoning a small rift in the air, and dismiss it.
"Attack on Central Finance. Alright, on it."
I stand up, bow, and walk off. Let's do this.
They need numbers.
But I was known back then as the "Berserker". I need my hammer.
"I'll visit the museum for my hammer. Hope they don't mind me using it again..."

Duret
I walk up the building to ask the leader on what to do next.
Then...
I spot a familiar armored figure.
"Gear?"
The hero turns around, and merely nods.
"Good to see you again, but not now, Duret. There is a ridiculous invasion on the Central Finance building."
Gear walks off without another word. Classic Gear.
Oh well. I walk in front of the leader and ask where they need me.

[ Musicnotes Musicnotes , post voided. One, the tanks weren’t in your area, so you wouldn’t have been able to see them. Two, the tanks went underground, so even anyways, you wouldn’t be able to track them. Your post has been deleted and voided.]

Central Finance
Magicor finished his brief speech, before then leaving the balcony. Once inside the palace once more, he gathered the Devil’s Council members, motioning for them to come. He then gave them a short address.

“Get to the other bases. I will begin opening up the portal.” He bowed to them, slightly dipping his head down for a moment. Magicor grabbed his spell book from the table, which contained the spell to open the hell dimension. Then, he walked down the stairs, motioning to his bodyguards.

“You and you, accompany me.” They flanked Magicor as he exited his mobile palace, being greeted and cheered by the soldiers. The bodyguards and other generals pushed them back, forming a direct path to the building. Lord Magicor started to tap people on the shoulder, indicating that he wanted them to help accompany him to the top of the building.

“You, come with me. You too.” When he had reached the door, about seventeen cultists, including his two bodyguards, were with him. They opened the doors, and he calmly walked in.

Gear

Gear sat in front of the Hero Leader, whose eyebrows were straight. He was slumped over in his own chair, and had been fiddling around on his device before Gear arrived. But now, he let out a long sigh, and began to speak to Gear.

“So there’s an attack of Central Finance? It’d be 1 on 1,000. Try to get to the top of the building before they do. I have a feeling they’re headed there.”
(oh im sorry, i must have read it wrong)

Gear
Gear arrives at the MegaMetro Museum of History, in East Tarporley. Luckily, it wasn’t too far from the Hero HQ. It seemed to be pretty deserted, with the evacuation and all. Gear entered the building, which had remained unlocked.

When he entered, he found the place desolate. The security stations? Empty. Gear walked through the security machines, which still beeped and hummed as they always did- though nobody was there to stop Gear from bringing in unauthorized materials.

Gear entered the museum. Crumpled brochures lay scattered on the ground, the mark of footprints visibly obvious. Gear picked one up. His hammer was in the superhuman relics exhibit, which was right down the hall. He ran down, to find his beloved hammer surrounded by a glass cube.

Duret
Duret approached the hero leader, who had just had to put down his phone for the second time in less than five minutes. He sighed again, responding to Duret.

“There are tanks at the base of the building. Get your squad there and try to clear up the activity at the bottom.”

Duret
Hmph. I see he's busy.
Understandable.
I head down to my tanks. Everybody is already ready to go.
"So, pay. That's coming after. Somebody remind me to ask for extra pay later."
I exchange a grin with Fist 2. It's an old , lame joke.
"Right. So, this is where we go... Central Finance."
I take some time to discuss tactics and strategy with my squad.

Gear
My hammer. Ah.
I remember all too clearly when I first got it.

5 years ago (hope you don't mind, Daily)
"Gear to the relics lab."
I had heard those words before. I was a mere spellcaster back then. A simple hero who had yet to prove himself in battle.
And now, I'm called to some of the most powerful facilities that the heroes have to offer.
I head to the lab, and am greeted with a sight of a hammer engraved with odd runes-and a metal suit of armor next to it.
"Ah, greetings Gear. You might be wondering what this is."
Of course.
"This hammer... is what seems to be an enchanted warhammer. We've had some of our best heroes try to use it-and all drop it. We asked them all what happened, and they said that only one who wields the power of outer space can use it. We made sure they weren't lying, and we found that the hammer's metal comes from outer space, and the runes translate to Gear. We'd like you to try and test it."
I nodded, and picked the hammer up. To my surprise, the runes glowed gold, and nothing else happened-except that it was heavy.
"It's heavy."
"Ah, that's what the suit of armor is for."
The scientist points at the suit. An elegant piece of metal. Runes glow on the suit.
"We translated the runes. It says that one who can carry the hammer must carry the suit."
I place the hammer down, and put on the suit, then pick the hammer up.
All of a sudden, the hammer feels like nothing.

Hmph.
If I remember correctly, I can retrieve my hammer anytime with a chant. This has led to admittedly hilarious moments with the Museum.
But now, this is no accident as I feel the hammer materialize in my hands. I am the Champion again.
And these cowards will feel my wrath.
I dash off towards the chaos at Central Finance. Already, power rages in my armor!

After awhile of sitting down, Angel stood up. A few feathers fell as she stretched her wings. She figured it was time to head home. She took off into the sky and flew in the direction of home.

This tunnel was far larger than she had expected. Whatever awful things the villains that were in this place had planned... it was big. Even still, she didn't realize the scope of things. The downhill journey ended in unexpected... light? It wasn't overly bright. Oil lamps... but where did they come from? Her eyes went up to where the roof of this cavern should be, but there was nothing there. It must have been too high up for her to see. That was... disconcerting. All the same, she kept her cool. There wasn't much else she could do, of course, but making a mental note of that was definitely helpful.

Clearly there must have been a ceiling. The lamps were attached, after all. They weren't just floating there, or else she'd probably just assume magic was to blame. She took a deep, quiet sigh and looked behind her to make sure nothing was coming her way before stepping down into the massive cavern. Nyx eyed the buildings nervously. There were so many of them... which meant she was potentially dealing with a good number of people. That'd be... ah... That'd be a problem.

The colossal cylinder was equally intimidating, and she immediately wanted to know what was on top of it. The flames waving about, the sheer size of it... it was clearly the most important building here. All the same... that massive thing wasn't going anywhere, but these drills were. She turned her attention back to the now a little farther off drills and started following them again. Her head was on a swivel making sure no one could surprise her, and her own shadows moved silently under her cloak. Just in case.
She stayed a fair ways back in case they decided to stop. Heck, she didn't even know yet if these things were manned or remote controlled. She needed to be prepared to either fight or hide at a moment's notice. She didn't want to stand too close and regret it later, especially when she was in a situation where such regret might involve her own demise.

Epilogue
Several hours after, the Devil’s Cult had collapsed. Just in the course of the day. Why? How? I will tell you.

Lord Magicor entered the Devil’s Realm. The heroes didn’t make it in time, as they were stopped by the tanks below and the thousands of troops in the building. They were distracted by the cultists, and hero tanks by enemy tanks.

Meanwhile, Magicor was free to open up the portal. A few hours later, he was able to. He went in alone. Nobody else was allowed to come. But he didn’t return.

The portal remained open for around a half hour, and he had that long to “free the Devil.” Magicor ventured to the Devil’s castle in the hell dimension. But he was shocked at what he saw.

He didn’t see the horned beast with a pitchfork. He didn’t see a tail. Instead, he saw a man, no, a spirit made purely of raging fire. It was sitting on a throne of pure bones. Magicor announced that he had come to free it. It attacked him.

Magicor put up a great fight against the Devil, but it was far more powerful. Eventually, Magicor decided to flee. He ran as fast as possible, the Devil at his heels. And just as he jumped through the portal back to Oberon, something happened.

The portal closed right on him. He was in both realms at the same time.

His body disappeared. It just- boom! Disappeared. Gone. What had really happened? His soul hadn’t been separated in half. One in the hell realm, one on Oberon. He wouldn’t be able to possess a body with half of a soul. He couldn’t speak either without a body. His soul was in two, in two realms. He would live forever- but as two very weak soul fragments that had been split in half and were in two realms.

The entire cult watched as this happened. Their leader had just died. And nobody else could open up the realm. They began to flee. But they were met by the Military, whose own tanks had arrived.

A huge war occurred, and tanks fired at each other. Military soldiers fought cult soldiers. The Military vastly outnumbered the cult. Hours later, the Cult began to flee. Around 1/3 of the cultists were killed, captured, or wounded, left in the street to be captured.

The remaining 2/3 fled into the underground, only to be followed by the Military. They finally discovered their hideout. Another 1/3 was eliminated. The remaining 1/3 escaped via hidden tunnels. Those people? They decided to live in disguise as normal citizens. Some even turned themselves in. The Cult was over.

Much of MegaMetro was destroyed. Metrona Bank was 100% destroyed. Abb Amusement Park and Central Finance suffered extreme damage. Thousands of lives, both citizens and Military soldiers, were lost. But MegaMetro will recover. Time will heal this wound.

MegaMetro has always been plagued by an endless battle. But it’s also the city of superheroes. MegaMetro! The city of superhumans!

The RP is ending because of lack of activity. We are continuing this on Discord. V&H 3: Superhero City will be on Discord. Please join us! Thank you for your participation.

To remove confusion, V&H 3: The New Wave, will begin not on discord, but here on RPN. Please join us! Thank you for your continued support of V&H! -Exiled Ace 5/30/18
