Kurt nearly fell backwards. Gripping onto the bags and pushing one leg back, he sustained a balanced position with his body leaned back and one leg outward. It was an awkward position, but it was nowhere near the worst.

Standing himself back up properly, he looked over at the woman who bumped into him. His first expression had been anger, as in "Watch it, buddy!", though it quickly changed when she apologized and then asked him a question. He wasn't sure if it had been the impact from the bump or because he hadn't talked to a female in weeks, but he seemed a little lost at words.

"U-Uhhh...yeah. Y-yeah.." Kurt replied, realizing seconds later that he hadn't actually answered her question. "The Department Store! I mean, behind the CiCi's...the Department Store. That's...that's where I got these." He looked at the ground, completely embarrassed of how much of a moronic reaction he just had.

Dynamo seemed to pout a bit. Since she almost never used her apartment for anything aside from a place to sleep, she wasn't that upset, but seeing the trouble Hawkwood had gone through without her asking for anything, she couldn't help but pretend that she was just a little bit devastated.
"Aww, man...I liked that couch. Never use it much because it's dusty and filled with bugs, but it had character. Oh well." She held up the cake bag.
"Well I appreciate the apology gift, but I can't exactly eat this all by myself, y'know. Why don't you have some too?"

Time: 7:22 AM
The leader turned on his heel, and swiftly walked back into his throne room.

All hell broke loose as the soldier groups began to scramble about, heading to their tunnel. The organized crowd lost its organization, as it broke up and began to head towards their tunnels. Officers stood upon watchtowers, announcing the destinations of the various groups.

“Group A, we need you at Tunnel 3. Group B, report to Tunnel 9. Group C…”

Soldiers began to march to their tunnel entrances. Boots thumping against the firm stone could be heard in the caves. Large groups of soldiers were stomping towards the southern end of the base- the tunnel entrances.

In the southern stone wall were hundreds of large, black holes in the surface. The ones at the bottom of the wall had no ladders, while entrances higher up could be reached by sets of ladders. Soldiers began climbing up these ladders, disappearing out of view as they entered the tunnels.

Most would be seeing the sun for the first time in years.

The armies began their ascent to the city, stomping through the system of tunnels that had taken so long to develop. The tunnels were very useful indeed, but years of effort had been put into them. Now, most of the 113 tunnels- or, at least, a good portion of the ones to MegaMetro- would be used.

There were tunnels leading nearly everywhere within a 5 mile radius. But since the base was concealed- literally- right beneath MegaMetro, the journey would be shorter. However, journeys to the next big city- Nikk- would be much longer. Luckily, there were active camps located along these tunnels. Some people’s jobs were simply to stay there.

This particular journey was more uphill than forward. The groups ascended up dirt steps. They had been resting for the past few months. They had been training for this moment. There was absolute silence, save the thudding of boots against the soft dirt, which muffled the stomps.

But soon, the groups arrived at an area where a metal cover concealed the city above. This was it. The only thing separating the vast tunnels underneath, and the bustling city above. Once they opened the metal disk, the sun would shine. And so the heads of each group, in each tunnel, opened the metal disks…

Soldier Groups A-J
When they opened the metal disks, the groups found themselves in West Tarporley, not far from the MegaMetro Villain Correctional Center. The building brought back some harsh memories to some of the cultists; a fair amount of them had once been contained behind those bars. The leaders brought out communication devices. But suddenly, another signal interrupted theirs.

“This is General Upsal of Devil’s Cult. Report to the Villain Correctional Center immediately. The leader wants the building captured. Leave everyone alive, and you are not to free any inmates.”

The connection ended. Soon, the groups found themselves back in the underground maze, navigating through tunnels. This information would have been useful ten minutes ago, not now. But eventually, they arrived, at Tunnel 19.

The head of Group G opened the metal disk- only to find the putrid odor of garbage bags entering the tunnels.

The opening to the Correctional Center was in a… dumpster?

“Get rid of this shit!” barked one of the leaders.

Before opening the dumpster, the cultists began to carry the bags into the tunnels. They hauled the bags into the underground pathway, leaving it behind. When the dumpster had been cleared, they opened it. It was one of the dumpsters at the prison.

“Follow me,” ordered the leader of Group G. He led the cultists through the courtyard of the prison. They banged on the doors, commanding to be let in. The operator looked down from a window above. He spoke into the voice machine, delivering a solid “no.”

“Get up there and kill the fucking man!” roared the leader of Group F, completely forgetting not to kill anyone.

“Sir, General Upsal said to keep them alive,” protested a soldier.

“He will not stay alive for defying us. Kill him!”

The soldier sighed. Then, more troops of soldiers emerged from the dumpster, this time, carrying wooden ladders. They mounted them against the wall, climbing up towards the window where the operator was. He was oblivious to this.

A loud shattering was heard, as the window was broken. Just as the operator was reaching for the alarm button, one soldier rushed up, stabbing him in the heart. The man slumped to the ground. That was close. The soldier tapped a few buttons, opening the gates to the groups below.

The cultists began to flow through the gates.

Soldier Groups K-Q
When they opened the metal disks, the groups found themselves emerging into small alleyways in Central Tarporley. As the cultists climbed out of the holes into the alleys, cars drove by, oblivious to what was going on. The heads of the soldier groups took out communication devices, and began to discuss the plans.

“Team K head to Team L to Q heads, we’re at the west side of Central Tarporley, a half mile from the fire station,” reported the head of Group A.

“Heard, Group Q head reporting. We are near Kinarra Park. Do we engage?”

“Group P leader to others, engage at the MegaMetro Fire Department HQ. I have orders from the generals to capture the building. Report to Tunnel 4, heads.”

The leaders shut off their communication devices, crawling back down into the tunnels. From there, they navigated through the deep system. Soon, Group L ran into Group M. Group P ran into Group O. The groups all met up, heading towards the desired tunnel- Tunnel 4.

When they had rallied up, the whole army of groups emerged out of the tunnel. The fire station was right ahead. The Group Q leader briefed the others.

“Take prisoners only. When the master is freed, He can decide if these souls shall perish or not.”

The other leaders nodded, as they instructed their groups to surround the HQ. Soon, they started to hack at the garage doors, until openings were formed.

The cultists began to flow into the openings.

Soldier Groups R-Z
When they opened the metal disks, the groups found themselves arriving in East Tarporley. The metal disks led to openings inside abandoned buildings. Cultists emerged into abandoned warehouses, restaurants, and even abandoned criminal hideouts. They enabled communications.

“This is Group X leader. General Upsal has informed me that we are to siege Tarporley Port. There are 50 soldiers guarding it, but we are hundreds of men. Upsal wants any ships destructed, and the Port to be blocked off. He also says once the ships are destroyed to leave the Port immediately,” announces the Group X leader. “All groups, make your way to the northern border or Tarporley Port.”

So the groups began to journey to Tarporley Port. The groups had various ways of heading there. Most used the tunnels, but Group S hijacked a bus. They picked up Groups R and Z. They all arrived at a small beach, literally right underneath Tarporley Port.

“Do we have the ladders?” asked the Group Y leader in a gruff voice.

“Yes, sir,” answered a cultist. New troops with ladders began to emerge from the tunnel right under the Port. Ten wooden ladders were brought out.

“Get up there, and sink the ships. Take down the Mayor’s emergency ship, now!”

Cultists began to climb up the ladders. When they emerged up, they tackled the soldiers, sending them into the waters below. Some soldiers remained below to deal with soldiers. A fight had begun, and the Cult was winning.

The cultists began to flow onto the Port.

MegaMetro News
“We are reporting live at the scene. I am right above the MegaMetro Villain Correctional Center. Below, we seem to be seeing floods of soldiers in red robes entering the building. In addition, we have also confirmed that there are indeed similar attacks at the MegaMetro Fire Department and Tarporley Port. Any heroes around, we need you now!”

Sigh.
I kneel at the gravestone of the previous commander, leader of the Heroes while I wasn't retired, paying respects.
I've decided to pay respects, then go off to see the Hero Leader.
Except it didn't work that way. I walk to the HQ...
And notice something is wrong. A TV is showing a broadcast. Villain attack.
Fire Department. Port. Correctional Center.
Hmm... I'll head to the port. If I remember correctly, there may have been some escape boats in case the city was under siege.
Or I'm just getting old.
I run off to the Port, making loud metal sounds as I run off to Tarporley Port.

Joseph Q. Vecna

As he sat in his basement fiddling with his leg servos for the hundredth time today he heard the news begin to recap the situation at the Docks, Fire department, and Prison. The clatter of the wrench dropping on the floor echoed through the basement. The man who took his legs from him was still locked up in there, and he would be damned if some terrorists were gonna set that animal free. Walking over to his tool desk he picked a nail off of the table and put it in one of the many holes in the in the particle board tool wall, with a click sound a panel dropped to reveal a keypad. He entered his eight digit code, and with another click a french door handle popped out of the wall about three feet to the left of the table. He touched the doorknob and held his hand there for a second as a red light emitted from the inside of it to scan his fingerprints. Once he was verified he turned the doorknob to reveal The Titan armor sitting in an open position. Without anymore hesitation he stepped out of his prosthetics and into the armor. Biometrics recognized, Good morning Mr.Vecna. the suit said its greeting as per usual. "Run Diagnositcs, Quickly." Joseph said. And after a few seconds the computer responded Diagnostics complete, Operating at 68% capacity recommend new energy source. the computer said in its cheery voice. "Make a note of it and send it to my inbox, its time to move, initiate launch sequence." he said. Almost immediately the door to the hidden room closed. Metal cylindrical panels clicked together around him and the piston in the floor primed to launch him. Destination? the computer asked. "Megametro Villian Correctional Facility." He almost spat out. The tube shifted a few degrees before the computer spoke again. Eta 48 seconds, Have a nice flight. almost as if it were the period in he sentence the floor piston fired, and launched Joseph like a bullet at the prison building. About halfway there the jets in his back fired once breifly altering his position to land on his feet instead of his head. He slammed into the ground like a meteor, luckily his lack of lower legs allowed the suits mechanical legs the room they would need to compensate for the impact causing him to land with a loud boom and a mechanical hiss. Drawing the Titans Hammer from his back, he turned on the suits loud speaker to address the men inside. "This Is Gridix. You have one warning, Stand down or be met with lethal force." he didnt yet have clearance for lethal action, but he figured it was only a matter of minutes before they were labeled as terrorists and the clearance would be given.

7:14 AM
"Soldiers in red robes, hm?"
He spoke, his deep, gruff voice echoing off of the walls like a hypnotic signal.
"Oddly familiar..."
It rang a bell, indeed, but he truly couldn't pinpoint the memory.
"Or perhaps I'm just getting old."
Perhaps.

Frank leisurely rose from his seat, draping his grisly arm in its usual loose, leather glove as he approached his workbench.
The struggle of war was crudely enthralling, and while the reluctant pleasure he found in it was borderline macabre even to himself, he really couldn't distance himself or reject it any longer.
It was time to return to the front line.
Hesitant, at first, but he did it regardless. Dusting his bulletproof tunic, slipping into his coat, tightly strapping his leather belt around his waist, cocking and holstering the flintlocks and, in the end, wrapping the latches on his beak around the back of his head.
"It always felt numbing to the touch, this mask of mine."

7:25 AM
And there the doctor stood, perched atop the roof of the fire department, silently watching, silently pondering. Though his heart raced, his fingers calmly wrapped around the grips of his firearms, his mind steady and at ease... Yet his eyes, the vicious eyes of a scarred prey turned predator, observing its newfound meal with a look of cunning and tactical genius.
With one, deep breath, the physician leaped down, barrels of his flintlocks ablaze as he riddled whatever unlucky soldiers stood in his way with piping-hot bullet holes.

Kant was staying in his grocery shop waiting for customers, sadly considering it was an off day for students due to some terrorist attack and only children would walk in a shop filled with shiny shit and manned by a paraplegic. He sighs at the notion of the statement he just thought off.
"Fuck me am I fucking bored, there's nothing to do," he says as he looks at the watch above the entrance to the shop, it was 7:15am.
"Well it's quite early for any normal person to show up, and the guards don't man the posts towards the entrance until 8... eheheheh," he says as he giggles to himself and begins to roll towards the door of the shop.

After rolling outside of the shop he proceeds to spin around and lock the door, he then takes out his watch seeing it's 07.25 am, he then proceeds to touch the watch glass as it reflects him and his whole body including the wheelchair turn into light and he proceeds to move at literally light speed towards the correction center once there reflecting back into matter into a puddle.
"Man it's good that I custom ordered a wheelchair made out of one material, would be really annoying if I didn't." He then proceeds to walk up to the wall and slowly lift up the cloth covering his legs and with a huge smile unzip his pants as he was ready to release the torrent on the wall only for him to startled after a loud noise coming from inside of the prison.

"Fuck! Oh please don't tell me I missed," he says as he frantically looks under the cloth, as he lifts his disappointed face letting out a sigh. An emotion quickly changed to a pissed frown as he aggressively rolled his wheelchair to the side of the correction facility where he can see insides. He then spots the cultists making havoc, he proceeds to lift his cloth and take out a sharp carving knife and his big watch.

He looks at the cultists and sees a guy with a big reflective belt with a satanic circle on it. Kant smiles as he shoves his hand holding the knife through the watch reflecting on the cultist's belt and then he proceeds to stab the guy to death; "Why are you stabbing yourself, you little shit made me piss my blanket.".

The terrorists began to flood into the prison. On their way inside the building, they were “greeted” by a few police officers- all of whom were “greeted” in return by ropes being tightened around their legs and arms, and their guns being taken by cultists in need of weapons.

As the leaders passed through the halls, prison inmates cheered loudly. They were gonna be free!

“Our prayers have been heard!”

“We shall be free again!”

“Thank you!”

Only to be rejected by the leader of Group B.

“Actually, our master will decide what he wants to do with you scum. Keep them behind bars.”

To which prisoners responded with curses, booing, and jeering. The soldiers ignored this, marching past them into the grand hall of the prison.

The grand hall was a colossal, octagonal room, with the ceiling far above. There were around ten floors of cells, with about three cells on each side of the octagon. The prisoners in this section began to cheer, like the other prisoners, but they were met with the same response. Immediately after, the leaders began organizing soldier groups.

“The general wants this place fully captured. I want soldiers guarding all ten floors, and soldiers guarding the halls. I want a large group of soldiers near the doors, and some to operate the systems. On the general’s command, we shall capture the next building,” ordered the head of Group C.

But right as soon as this order was announced, Gridix landed right outside the now-closed prison gates.

“This Is Gridix. You have one warning; stand down or be met with lethal force,” threatened the hero on his loudspeaker. The two cultist operators above heard the message. One of them ran off into the main hall.

“Sir, there is a threat outside!” screamed the man in a high voice to the Group A leader. The Group A leader let out a low growl.

“Kill that man and bring me his bones!” shrieked the Group A leader.

Many soldiers began to rush to the operating room, which was located above the gates to the prison. The operators would be able to see anyone who had come to the gates of the prison. Earlier, the cultists had killed the operator by breaking in through the window.

So now, four cultists leapt out the broken window, all of whom were carrying short swords. They landed right next to Gridix.

“Die, hero scum!” spat one of them.

The four cultists lunged at Gridix, swinging their swords at him.

Meanwhile, the Group F leader began to walk through the back hall of the prison. He had seen no need to take any guards, for the action was occurring in the front of the prison. The Group F leader fastened his belt, which had come loose.

He was heading to the back area of the prison to make contact with the general. They had engaged in fight, and there was a hero here too. On the other hand, they had captured the prison. The Group F leader walked out to the back courtyard of the prison. Once he was out of view, he whipped out his communication device.

“Head of Group F reporting to the Cult Council. We have successfully conquered the prison. But we have engaged in conflict with a hero. I am requesting rein-”

The leader was suddenly cut off as a hand (Wait, what?) emerged out of no where from his belt. It began to stab him repeatedly in the stomach. After it had stabbed him 12 times, the hand stopped, and the Group F leader fell to the ground while blood poured out of his stomach, dropping the communication device.

The masses of cultists fully slashed multiple openings in the garage door. They charged in, screaming battle cries, and slashing everything near them with their shining silver swords.

“Fuck the firefighters!” one cultist cried. This particular cultist possessed fire manipulation (as most Envoys in the Cult did), and he launched fireballs at the firefighters. The man barged into the building, breaking into one of the bedrooms.

“Burn it down!” he screeched in a reedy voice, before then proceeded to throw flame balls at the wooden bunk beds. They began to go up in flames, as well as the wooden nightstands and dressers nearby. He nodded with satisfaction, before then returning to the garage of the building.

He arrived to see group leaders barking out orders, and cultists breaking into the building. Firefighters were tied to the wall, with guards watching them, daggers at their throats. The man walked outside, before screaming loudly.

“I AM INVINCIBLE!” he shrieked. He had been drinking a lot last night. But his life came to a swift end as he and one other cultist collapsed to the ground as blazing hot bullets struck their heads.

Frank landed next to the now-collapsed bodies of the two cultists. Someone yelled “eliminate him,” and before he knew it, Frank found himself surrounded by three soldiers, two of whom had daggers, and the other had a fireball conjured in his hand.

The Envoy struck first, firing three fireballs at Frank.

Gear arrived at Tarporley Port at 7:25 AM. He was huffing and puffing from having ran all the way here. His energy was drained to some extent. If not for the guards being occupied by the Devil’s Cult, Gear would not have been allowed to enter the Port.

Gear watched as Military soldiers took on Cult soldiers. It was very unevenly matched- 50 soldiers versus the Cult’s 100+ soldiers (Some of whom were Envoys!). Gear observed one of the Military soldiers being stabbed through the gut. As the sword, dripping with warm blood, was drawn out of the soldier, the Military guard fell into the ocean.

Meanwhile, cultists were breaking into the boats. Though nothing had happened yet, they were figuring out how to sink the ships. Soon, the ships would go down.

Within moments, only one guard was left. He was cornered at the very end of the Port. The guard was cowering in fear, and he knew he was about to die. What will Gear do?

In Gear’s attempt to throw the cultist, he actually ends up slamming him on the dock. The cultist rolls over as he groans, and accidentally rolls right off the dock! He is swallowed by the water, and a loud “splash” is heard, followed by drops flying into Gear.

The Group S leader turns around, hearing Gear’s command. A wild grin breaks out on his face, as his hand inches out towards the Military soldier. The Group S leader pushes the Military soldier off of the Port, and he splashed into the water.

I concentrate the gravity part of my cosmic powers towards the soldier, and lift him up, out of the water and place him away from the battle.
Already I feel my powers are gone. But who cares? I don't need powers, I only need my fists!
I mock the leader. "Alright, what are you going to do? Gasp in surprise? Run?"
(Hope taking out Gear's powers were enough to balance the OP)

Hellion

The hulking spikey monster of a hero watched as the battle unfolded just across a chain link fence to the docks. He was temporarily mesmerized and fanboying over getting to see the hero gear in action. But when the angel landed he remembered why he was here. In one mighty leap from those beastly leg muscles of his he crossed the street, several rows of shipping containers, and came to a hard landing beside the armored hero and the angel. Putting on his gruff scary sounding hero voice he asked "room for one more? Looks like this dock needs some clean-up." he said obviously nervous. He had only been out of college for a few weeks now and his inexperience was apparent. Fortunately his presence was more than enough to make up for it.

Underneath his helmet Joseph smiled when the men climbed out with their swords. He gripped the titans hammer in both hands like a cudgel and said with a laugh. "ok so we're doing this now." he stepped forward and swung his weapon to meet the first mans blade in an attempt to shatter it, then thrust a gentle (for him) palm towards the chest of the second in an effort to launch him into the third. "Come on, Swords? Im toting state of the art, one of a kind tech here and your coming at me with 1st century gear? Im insulted..." he said finishing his sentence as he aimed the barrel of his cudgel/gun at the mans chest. "but you guys have just been assaulted." he said letting rock salt shell go into the mans chest.

Kant sighs after being satisfied with gruesome enough way he killed the man who made him assault his blanket with his own pee. He then looked at how the cultist fell down dead with his eyes still open. Kant smiled at how his victim was kind enough to leave him a way to get inside. He wipes his bloody knife on the blanket and proceeds to touch the watch.

As he and his wheelchair become light he reflects on the dead cultist eye's and materializes with his wheelchair landing on the deceased body. "Thank you for the landing spot." He then notices the communication device he lifts it up with a curious face and then says;

"Hello, who is this?".

Tarporley Port
“Gasp in surprise? No, I think I’ll beat the shit out of you. Take care of her,” he barked, pointing at Angel. “I’ve got this one.”

Five cultists lunged at Angel to tackle her down. Two of them were carrying daggers. One of them had a particularly long sword. Another was carrying nothing. But the last cultist was enveloped in an aura of flames. The two with the daggers and the one with the long sword charged at Angel, while the one without weapons and the fire Aura dude simply lunged at her.

Meanwhile, the Group S leader conjured a ball of pure darkness, sending it flying straight towards Gear. He possessed darkness abilities, and the dark balls could temporarily blind targets. The ball flew at Gear.

Hellion stood, watching as it all unfolded.

Angel looked over at Hellion when he appeared. "The more the merrier." She saw the five cultists coming at her. "Five on one? That's not really fair." One of the good things about having wings was that she could fly whenever she needed to. Now seemed like the right time to do so. She flew up to dodge them before she grabbed the one with the long sword and tossed him at the one with the fire Aura.

Status: OK? Well, blind until next post
Armor Status: Some Damage
"Ok, you can join in-"
Gear realized there was a ball of darkness flying his way.
"Well, he's angry. And I am too."
I let the ball hit me. I lose eyesight. Just makes me angrier.
I slowly march forward, cracking my fists.
"Not stopping me, coward."

"Curses, I allowed them to surround me...!" The doctor damned his fate, rolling out of the path of the blazing spheres and letting them steer directly into the remaining cultists. If it didn't incinerate them on the spot, it'd still prove a deadly obstacle for them to hassle with, even if for a moment.
Without proffering the Envoy a moment to react, Frank cocked the hammers of his flintlocks and tugged the triggers both simultaneously, releasing a gust of gunpowder and an ear-splitting gunshot that echoed throughout the entire building.

MegaMetro Fire Department HQ
A window crashed as a figure jumped into a burning room. The figure looked forward and ran through the halls of the decaying Fire Department. He caught a Cultist by surprise from behind by ramming straight into the worshipper. Running past the fallen Cultist, unsure whether or not the man was still awake, the figure reached the burning bedrooms. He knew the men inside were dead, there was no doubt, but he had to do something. He couldn't just leave the bodies to burn.

Opening a dorm door, the figure looked at the dead men. He shot out a blast of water from his palm onto the burning closets, beds, and firefighters. Tide could hear men talking across the thin walls, and he began to realize how screwed he was. He was in a burning building, he had water powers, and there were at least a dozen (if not more) armed men and women just outside the room.

Tide looked from left to right, analyzing his surroundings for anything useful.
Suddenly, an idea popped in his head, though it would include leaving the room.

MegaMetro Villain Correctional Center
A silhouette watched from the distance as the building was nearly instantly secured. As Gridix came to stop the Cultists, Akira could only chuckle as he viewed. To him, Government-issue Heroes were nothing but phonies in big suits.

He didn't feel the urge to help. Akira's given up on MegaMetro. Or, at least Earl has. Vun hasn't. If you're going to be bound to somebody else's body, perhaps you should try to make things interesting, y'know? Had Vun not care about MegaMetro, then they would've never came and just wandered Oberon until death knocks upon their door.

"Could you at least try to do something? Stab one of them or something." Vun asked. By now, he's gotten used to the pain of not being able to control a body anymore. He's just a spectator now.

"..." Akira grunted, and Vun nodded.

"I see."
"..."
"Your silence is surprisingly easy to understand."
"Thank you."
Akira squinted after remarking sarcastically, looking at the fight at the Correctional Center. He had been 130 yards away from the building behind a bush, so obviously it'd be a bit of a challenge to watch the fight.

"I~"
"No matter what you tell me, I will not help. You know this already."
"Don't do it for me then. Do it for...Mary..?"
"If you just tried to convince me with the 'power of love', I'll have you know there was nobody before the accident. And why Mary?"
"I dunno. It was the first name that popped into my head."
"Sure."
The Ninja jumped to a bush a few feet ahead of him, hoping to get a better look.
"If you're not going to help fight, then why are you getting closer?"
"I want a better view."
Akira replied, sticking his head out of the top of the bush.

(All the way down at Palomar Plaza)
Kris chuckled, smiling sweetly at the teen, "Sorry if I ruffled you a bit. Like I said, I should have been paying more attention to where I was going. I was stuck in my own thoughts, you see?" She looked in the direction of the store in question, "Is that really the name of it? There are so many stores in the area, and I swear half of them are usually closed by the time I go out and about. I'm a night owl, so it complicates things."

She paused, getting a message on her phone. She could listen to that in a moment. "Is the pricing alright?" she continued, still smiling a bit as she debated on it. Kris turned back to him and offered her hand, "I apologize, young man. I'm talking your ear off, and I've not even said my name. I'm Kris. Nice to meet you."

"Do you go to school in the area?" she asked, trying to continue conversation like a normal person without coming off creepy. With her looks, she didn't need any help, but she didn't interact with people a whole lot.

After a moment, her phone buzzed again, and she actually glanced at it this time. Her Mom. "Crap. Uh... Might need to cut this chat a bit short. Family is freaking out. Apparently there's a villain attack, and if I don't respond, they're gonna freak out," she said, half muttering though it was still understandable, "Sorry. I'll check out that store later. Thanks for the info on it. I probably wouldn't have known where to go."

Hunny are you safe? Did you see the news? There's something going on. I wanna make sure you're safe. The news says it's in three places, the fire department, the correctional center, and Tarporley Port. Are you in the area? Are you planning on assisting the other heroes? Make sure you're safe.
them
Krissy? Seriously hunny, make sure you're safe. This just happened. You need to be careful. It's a nice day out, and it isn't nighttime.
me
Mom, since when do I answer if I'm at work?
me
I'm okay. I'm way south. Palomar Plaza. I'll look into it to see if I can help. By the time I get there though, it might already be solved.
me
Safe to assume everyone else is safe? You'd probably be freaking out more if they weren't. Watch the news closely, I guess. If I can get there, who knows, you might see me on TV for once while you're awake. :P

She tucked her phone away with a massive sigh after turning it on silent. Tarporley? That was at least 18 miles from where she was now... She'd never get there in time to help out... Perhaps she should head there anyways, she supposed. If it spread or got out of hand she could help with that.
