Yeah so I was thinking we could let the children interact and form groups around the festival or we can timeskip to the hunt. I think it'd be nice to atleast let some interactions form dynamically.

it's only a flashback, we're gonna end up making this more of a prologue, mainly to have some backstory formed because I wanted there to be some basis of everyone knowing eachother than everyone being around the same age as teenagers and somehow not knowing eachother despite living in the same village. It won't be too long.

Hope you will only get better now. For me, that since you are an official part of the rp, you cannot be prevented from writing in IC. If you have no idea how to start, your character can go to Ruth's stand.
