Effervescent
Rests Chin In Hands
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in roleplaying a group of people who try to act like superheroes for their city to take the law in their own hands and "fight crime." They would just be regular people living regular lives with no superpowers whatsoever.
About the concept:
The idea would be a group of people (teens or adults, but likely no seniors or children) gather together because they all share a common interest and ideal: the police just aren't adequate for the job they have. Whether it be they faced oppression first hand or the police just didn't answer the call fast enough or whatever would be up to you. Since they are just ordinary people wearing costumes or masks, they don't really undertake any serious crime fighting until they stumble across an event that leaves them too deep to fall back.
Right now I'm thinking the players will only be allowed to roleplay the vigilantes rather than any policemen. I will GM the police and environment, but it will be likely that in certain fights players will be allowed to determine the outcome of a fight against certain opponents.
The setting will likely take place in a fake city, but it will be modern times. The scale of the city will be somewhere around the size of Chicago making it quite the undertaking for six vigilantes. They can either know each other before their first meeting or only know each other as their "superhero" names or other. I will leave that up to the players.
The OOC Aspects:
Does this sound like something that may interest you? If there is enough interest, I may actually create it.
For an example of my GMing and what to expect, see my current roleplay The Dragon Wardens.

The OOC Aspects:
- This roleplay will be detailed, meaning 3+ paragraphs written in 3rd person utilizing the standard literary format.
- As a GM, I'm not particular in much. I'm a heavy advocate of putting real life before roleplay, so I design my roleplays to allow for characters to come and go if real life gets overwhelming for the player. That being said, I do require players communicate with me if they feel they will be gone for longer than a week just so I know how to handle things. Characters will not be written out of the roleplay unless the player requests it or has gone against any set rules for the roleplay on a major scale.
- This will be a small group consisting of no more than 5 players (excluding myself). I do not make reservations, so these character slots will be first come first serve.
- This roleplay will have violence.
- Keep in mind vigilantism is illegal.
- This is a realistic roleplay. Your characters will get hurt, and while I will leave the level of injuries up to you, I do expect you to be realistic about what they sustain.
- I will not accept characters who have murderous tendencies. If your character displays traits suggesting such at any point, your character will be written out of the roleplay.
