I need feedback on an idea for a video game I feel like FPS games tend to be too easy. If you look at CoD, Halo, and Battlefield, you'll see that 1-2 players will carry the entire team to victory. I remember seeing in CoD on a match to 100, a player who got more than half the kills I'm not disrespecting those players. In fact, I praise their skill. However, I feel like it's just too easy to carry the entire team You also have games like Destiny, where this can happen, but it doesn't happen that often, especially in the early days. Nowadays it's just newbies and hardcore player Now, I haven't exactly developed this into a standalone game, so for now let's inject it into CoD, as it's the most popular FPS franchise, and scale everything according to their guns A bit of terminology Score: Assuming the player is in a score-based match Points: Raw points. You only get points from killing an enemy Loadout: Choosing which guns, grenades, perks and all that shit you use for a given set Now you'll get to choose between Fire and Ice (More in development). Your weapons (using CoD as an example) will shoot bullets of your chosen element Ice: Does normal damage, but doesn't kill. Instead, it'll freeze the enemy (making them immobile) under a 30s defrost time. You can see this as a respawn time for ease. To unfreeze, another player will have to defrost you, like revival.

Score Matches: Since you can't directly kill an enemy, you get 50% points for freezing them and the other 50% if someone else kills them, along with the 25% assist

Points: Since you can't kill, you get your point if someone else kills them, along with them getting their point. It's double points, but only getting it indirectly

Fire: Does 50% damage as normal (Snipers still OHK with a headshot), but can kill directly. Does 100% damage to Frozen enemies with double points on a Frozen kill

Score and Points work normally

Note: If more elements are developed, Fire can do 75% damage to Ice players and 50% to everything else

The Loadout customization will still be a thing. However, there will be no mixing elements. AKA no Ice primary and Fire secondary. It's one or the other Elemental Transfer: If you change from a Fire loadout to an Ice loadout or vice-versa, the next time you die, you get a fixed 20s respawn time. Sub Zero: If an entire team is frozen, they'll all die immediately with normal respawn timer and reward double points to their killers Since this is assumed to be injected into CoD, I'll post some Perk ideas later on, though it may take on a more tree approach like Destiny's ability tree This is all I have so far. Any comments, questions, suggestions and ideas are appreciated
