I don't disagree, but if the GM decides the RP is going to be a higher level, players need to meet that or not be able to participate. Otherwise you slow down others. I probably sound pretentious about it, but allowing in "casual" players when the expectation is "advanced" isn't fair to the players either. Why should someone putting in TONS of effort have to play with someone who can barely make a paragraph? (And, again, with this much interest, I personally think it'd be SMART to make this more exclusive.)
That all said, I--again--don't disagree with you. All the RPs I'm currently in are casual af. There's nothing wrong with it. And it's all up to the GM anyway, ofc.
