Masquerade violations: ○○○○○
The more dots filled in, the greater chance someone a Hunter will come looking for you. At the beginning of a scene I will roll X dots worth of die, with a difficulty starting at 10 for the first dot, and -1 at every subsequent dot, with strength being in relation to the number of successes rolled. You will not be told the result of this roll.
The hunter will be very tough, not always human, not always alone, and will be a major hindrance when they find you.
Defeating the hunter will reset the Masquerade to 0.
You can reduce the Violations by making conscious efforts in masking you trail by covering up for the supernatural. Eg: Successfully starting rumors of bear attacks, steal evidence or plant false evidence, paying off the police Captain or media or other officials, making a witness disappear, doing a mission for the Prince, etc. You can get creative.
The more you use the same method, the less effective it will be.
Things that cause violations would be actions you take that reveal yourselves to humanity. Such as telling a human your nature, revealing secrets, leaving behind bodies you fed upon or mauled in inhuman ways, showing you obvious superhuman abilities around humans like lifting a car or changing shape, being caught on camera.
A werewolves Delirium helps, but is not always reliable. They can be caught on camera, and humans with notably sufficient willpower aren't effected.
