Clark moved to the small town of Graden about a month ago. Being somewhat supernatural herself she has noticed a few odd things. One, Their skin is always cold. Two, they never eat food. No matter what she makes for them. And other little things like there are no mirrors any where in the house except her room, and it conjoint bathroom.
Clark woke up to Lillianne slamming the bed room door and dramatically laying down on Clark's bed with a big sigh was she spread her arms open wide, with her unusual vintage one eyed-bunny companion. "CLARK! Wake up! I'm bored, So you have to play with me!" Lillianne whinned. Clark opened her eyes and sat up looking at the little girl. "Okay okay." Clark said as she ran her hand through her hair, to get it out of her face. She yawned and stretched her arms out. "COME ON!" Lillianne groaned impatiently. "Well let me get up, and get dressed first." Clark said and the little girl sighed and rolled her eyes up to the ceiling. Clark got up and went into her walk in closet. She put the school Uniform on, since she had classes in a few hours. It was strange to her that a college had uniforms, but it was what it was.
As she put her clothes on she talked louder so Lillianne could hear her. "Remember I can't play very long, I have some classes today." Clark said and straightened out her plaid yellow and black skirt, and black tie against her white button up, in the mirror. "Don't yell I'm right here." Lilli said with her arms crossed. Clark jumped slight and looked behind her. "Sorry..I didn't see you in the mirrior.." Clark said looked at Lilli. Lilli's eyes slightly widened just before going back to her pouty face. "Whatever. Hurry up. I wanna play dress up." Lilli said and grabbed Clark's hand with her cold fingers. "Well don't you want breakfast?" Clark asked and Lilli shook her head. "I Already ate." Lilli replied and lead Clark to her big princess room. She never really understood why Lilli wanted to dress up. Her everyday outfit was already like playing dress up. Her entire closet was only filled with beautiful dresses. After a good 40 minutes of dress up Lilli finally said. "Okay. I'm tired of you, leave me alone." Clark responded with a chuckle and a nod. "Well okay, I'll see her later." And got up. "Hope not." Lilli snarked, and Clark sighed and left her room. She when to the kitchen and ate some breakfast. On her way back to her room after her breakfast she ran into Nicholas reading on the couch. "How was your sleep?" He asked, He always talked in a strange manner but she always shrugged it off. "It was fine, thanks." She responded. "I am going to guess Lillianne woke you early?" He said looking a the grandfather clock. It was earlier than I would normally have gotten up at. "Yup." She said with a small laugh, funny how he noticed. "I shall see you later Clark." He said and waved as he read his book. "Later." She said and went back to her room. She began to brush her teeth, and heard Peter start to play the Piano. She smiled in the middle of brushing her teeth. She loved to listen to him playing. He was so talented. She had always wished to play an instrument, but never learned how. She finished brushing her teeth, then brushed her hair, and put on some chap-stick. She put on her shoes and picked up her book bag. Clark left her room and passed the sound of the beautiful piano coming from Peter's room, and headed down stairs. She took out her phone and texted Rebecca. " 'Morning Becca! OMW to school, See ya in class.' " Just as she hit send she ran into a cold hard chest. "Morning sleeping beauty. If you wanted a good morning kiss all you had to do was ask." He said with a wink. "Uh, No thanks." Clark said and dodged him, and hurried out the door. She walked to the college alone, even though Peter and Damn went to the same place. As far as she knew Peter also walked, and Damon drove his fancy sports car. Peter even had the first same class as her but he also sat alone in the back.
The day was cloudy like usual, in the entire month she'd been there is was only sunny once or twice. Once she got to campus she saw Samantha and Layne arguing about their relationship again. She honestly didn't know if they were off or on. Samantha acts like they are, but Layne acts like they aren't. Clark was headed for the main entrance doors, but once Layne spotted Clark he ditched Samantha and walked over. "Hey Clark. So tomorrow is the Halloween Town Festival. Wanna go with me?" He asked with a cocky little smile. "So Sorry Layne, promised Rebecca I'd go with her. And I really have to get to class. So Bye.." She said trying to dodge another fight with Samantha, and continued her quest to the front doors. But even if Layne was just saying hello Samantha's claws came out. "Stay away from him." Samantha hissed and gave Clark the death glare as Clark walked past her. Clark ignored her and walked into the school. She went to the safe where she always went to meet Rebecca, and of course Rebecca was surrounded by a bunch of groupies, but once Rebecca spotted Clark she rushed over. "Clark!" Rebecca said excitedly and gave her a hug. "Hey! Ready for class?" Clark asked and Rebecca nodded with a smile in reply. The went to class and took a seat in the middle of the class room next to each other. One by one the class filled up, and Peter eventually showed up too, sitting in the very back of the class by himself like usual. Clark gave him a small smile and little wave, he gave no smile and a tiny head nod, if it was a head nod at all. "I don't know why you nanny for them, they're so weird." Rebecca said. "They're good people, and I need the money for college. Plus free room and board. Why is everyone so rude to them anyway?" Clark asked. "Because they're... weird." Rebecca said trying to find a good word but ended up just using weird again. Soon the class started. I was my favorite class. Myths and Legends. The professor was pretty hot too. Most of the class was just a bunch of girl that came to stare at him. "Okay class today we will be talking about vampires." The professor started out. Not to long after he explained some history and listed some vampire identifiers. "Vampires usually have cool skin, they don't eat cheese burgers or any of the foods we eat, they drink blood, the sun doesn't kill or hurt them, but it does make the significantly weaker but not nearly enough to make them vulnerable.." The professor went on. At that point I slightly turned my head to look at Peter... 'Hmmm' I thought. With that quick glace Peter got up and left the room. Rebecca nudged Clark "Told you..Weird." She whispered. For the rest of the class Clark couldn't help but think about the Burkloy's the entire time. The day went on and she went to her less exciting classes. And when the day ended she studied for a while with Rebecca in the library. "So tomorrow..I don't have anything to wear.." CLark said and Rebecca's face lit up. "You can borrow something from me!" Rebecca said and stood up. "Come on, let go!" Rebecca said and took Clarks hand, leading her out of the library. They ended up at Rebecca's house and looked through her closet. Rebecca chose two really secy black dresses. One was strapless with a deep plunge and was so short that you couldn't do anything but stand straight the whole night...The other dress one side had a long black sleeve, and the other side was strapless and showed a lot of skin with it being just a bunch of straps. "Are you sure I can pull one of these off?" Clark asked skeptically. "Of course! You're like the hottest girl at school." Rebecca said and slightly blushed. Clark laughed. "Yeah right, what about Samantha?" Clark asked, "That cake face has nothing on you. Layne obviously thinks so too." Rebecca said with a wink. "You noticed that?" Clark asked. "Well yeah, any chance he gets, he talks to you. Even if Samantha's there." Rebecca said. Clark tried on both dresses and settled on the second one, with the half long sleeve, half full side of straps. SHe wanted to be able to sit down. Because she knew they were going to end up a at a bar at a club. They hung out a little longer then Clark walked back to the Burkloy Mansion. She made it back safely and hung the dress nicely in her closet. She left her room and headed toward the kitchen to get some food when Peter started to play the piano again. It was another one of the sad depressing songs he played. It was a song she had never heard of before. He usually plays the same few songs, but this one was new. And played perfectly. Clark stops in front of his door which is slightly open/ She closes her eyes and for a few minutes just listens. It's beautiful. She goes to step away and the floor creaks under her. All the sudden the music stops and the door is slightly opened a little more with Peter standing there.. "Sorry..I um.." Clark says not able to finish the sentence.

(Replys don't have to be this long, just wanted to get a feel out for the characters. You can also play other characters like I did... except for Clark.)

Peter's eyes narrowed ever so slightly at Clark before he took a deep breath and muttered under his breath as he gently pushed his hair out of his face

"it's fine, it's my fault for leaving the door open..."

The silence that followed was definitely one that others would describe as awkward. Peter wanted to be left alone, but at the same time he didn't want to be rude and just shut the door in Clark's face, they had to live under the same roof after all. He shifted his weight from foot to foot before looking slightly over his shoulder at something deeper within the room, his lips pressing together to form a thin line as he did

((OOC: Sorry, I know it's short but...you didn't leave many options for me, hope this is alright?))

"No..It's...I like your playing." She managed to say. She took a step back and ran her hand through her hair, and tucked it behind her ear. Damon always complained about his playing but Clark, she didn't mind. She liked it a lot actually, made her feel less alone in this big mansion of a house. She didn't really know what to say or do at this point, and she just got the feeling that he wanted her to leave.

((OOC: It's totally fine!))

He was slightly surprised by her admission, and he was sure it was obvious in his eye when he turned back to look at her, his eyes only slightly wider than when he had come to the door

"You...you actually like it?"

A ghost of a smile flitted across his lips, or it could have been the shadows playing tricks as his head tilted to the right ever so slightly.

"Damon says a baboon could do better, though he also says every female is secretly in love with him and just haven't admitted it to themselves yet..."

For a second mirth filled Peter's eyes as a single chuckle left his lips, but just as soon as the sound was passed his lips the light was snuffed out as he realized who and where they were talking. He should have simply thanked her and shut the door...why did he have to open his mouth and say that?! He silently hoped in his mind that she couldn't read his ever-shifting emotions on his face, it would be embarrassing if she could, seeing he had had 220 years to practice keeping his emotions hidden

"Of course I liked it, you're very talented." She said with a small smile as she studied his face. There was a small hint of a smile she think she saw, but that very well could have been her eyes playing tricks on her. Once he said Damon thought every girl was in love with him. She laughed at little. "Well Damon thinks he's the shit. And he's wrong. About that and thinking that your music's no good. How long have you been playing?" She asked, she couldn't help but wonder how he was so good. He was on the impossibly gifted level, to the point where he could play the most difficult song in the world and it seem like twinkle twinkle little star. Which was about the only thing she knew how to play. Well technically she could also play the ABC's but that's only because it is the exact same as twinkle twinkle litter star. "I'm not a piano critic, but I think you could very well beat Motzart or Beethoven in a piano battle."

Peter shifted uncomfortably as Clark asked her question, and if he could blush ((or can they? if they can then he blushes!)) He would have been slowly turning tomato red at her compliment.

"That...that's very high praise...I don't think anyone would dare even try to battle those two..."

He couched once as he covered his lips with his visible hand as shifted his weight a few more times, his hand still hidden by the door clenching and unclenching in his pocket. It was a few more seconds before his eyes met hers again and he answered her question

"I've been playing...for a very very long time...for as long as I can remember really...it...it's calming...and comforting..."

The look in his eyes changed as they drifted off into memory, the nervousness faded and there was no mistaking the content smile that graced his lips

Clark smiled and shrugged "I'd love to watch you play.. that is if you dont mind.. if not its okay." She was really interested in the piano. She wasnt sure how he was going to respond, since he seemed like such a loner, but she thought she might as well ask. She wasn't too chicken when it came to rejection. ((OOC: Sorry it's so short I'm on my phone at work bc I'm bad..))

Peter's eyes widened, he hadn't expected that, not in the slightest. After a short time of floundering, his mouth slightly agaip, he simply stepped back and opened the door for her to enter

"As, as long as the doors open, I don't mind... just... knock before entering..."

He then tired on his heel and padded on bare feet back to the piano in the middle of his room, leaving it up to her if she joined him or not

((Don't worry I'm on mine be as well lol))

Clark smiled, she excited to finally see him play. She stepped into his room, it was nice and modern. Mostly black and white. One of his wall was an entire black bookshelf filled full with books. And a black later to reach them all. He also had a big shiny black grand piano in the middle of his room. She walked in and looked for a place to sit. The best she could do was really the corner of his neatly made bed. So she went and sat on the corner of his bed with her hands in her lap. She watched him move toward the piano with her bright blue eyes and she had a slight smile across her lips. She was happy that he wasnt completely ignoring her. But she kinda made it hard for him to ignore her in the first place. She wondered if she was actually being an annoying burden.

He felt nervous to play in front of her, what if he messed up? He took a deep breath and glanced at her once as he sat on the middle of the piano bench, he quickly focused his mind and reviewed the work he'd already completed with this piece he was working on, his pencil was in the same place under the bench where it had rolled when he had dropped it when he had heard her outside his door, so with a slight huff of frustration he quickly bent and scooped it from under the bench and placed it behind his ear. He had come up with a few strands to add to the piece whole talking and quickly added it to the mess of notes and side tabs (that many had said only he could read, he didn't have the best handwriting, especially while composing) before he attempted to play the same piece as before, but with his new revisions. He began to play, it should have been obvious by now that the music clark had heard before was an original by Peter himself that he was still working on finishing, and that she was the first to hear it in its raw state. He liked to pour everything he felt he was unable to say into his music, and most of it was not positive, so moody of his pieces were complex but overall a depressing sound

When he looked over at her she gave him a small smile of encouragement. She originally thought the huff of frustration was aimed towards her, then saw him bend over to pick up a pencil. She watched as he scribbled in something on the paper, his long blonde hair swept over his shoulders, then he began to play. She watched his finger sweep over the black and white keys and make a beautiful but sad melody. She could relate to his style of music very well, and it touched her in ways she couldn't quite understand. She had a secret from everyone, multiple actually, that she couldn't tell anyone. And this song gave off the 'Alone in the world' tone to it. She closed her eyes and listened to the music for a moment. Flashes of her dead parents began to play, a tear left her eye and she wiped it off her cheek as she opened her eyes back up. Her parents had died in a house fire not long ago, she was the only survivor. That is one of the main reasons she moved to this job. To get away from that place. This was one of her secrets, no one knew why she moved. Her other was that she could talk to the dead, but even with this crazy gift. She never saw her parents. Why have this gift if she can't use it to see the people she loves, and misses dearly? She went on thinking this way until the music stopped. Her eyes were ever so slightly red from the small tear she shed as she looked over at him.

He was tapping his pencil against his bottom lip, deep in thought with his eyebrows knitted together when she looked up. The music wasn't quite right... something simply felt off to him. He sighed in frustration as he mussed his hair in agitation. He looked around his room for inspiration and was startled when his eyes met with hers and he saw the redness. He was awkward with peopleat the best of times, even more so when emotions of any kind got involved.

Peter slowly stood from the piano and walked over to sit by her and placed a cold hand on her shoulder hesitantly, hoping that maybe just his presence next to her would be enough to provide comfort from whatever about his music had made her cry. But after a Moment or two he knew he had to say something.... anything...His voice was low when he spoke after a beat or two

"We all have our secret and wounds, and we all deal with them in different ways, there is no shame in showing that you aren't always put together."

He wasn't sure if his advice was for her, or for himself, all he hoped was that it was the right thing to say

Clark smiled softly and couldn't help but think he should also follow his own words. With the music he created there had to be something. His cold hand on er shoulder made a shiver go down her spine, not in a bad way. His compassion was sweet and touching, that she found herself blushing lightly. She couldn't quite be like with him, cry comfortably. So she pushed it all in and asked "So this is an original piece?" She asked then cleared her throat. She stood up and there body's were close, she couldn't help but feel attracted to him. As she walked past him her warm arm brushed again his cold one, and she walked toward the piano. She brushed her fingers lightly over the keys, to where no sound came from them. And bent over slightly to look at his unique handwriting.

a Shiver ran down his spine at her touch, but he ignored it as he nodded, folding his arms loosely over his chest

"Yeah...it's not even close to being finished though...I just started after class so its still in a pretty rough state..."

His voice sounded disappointed in his work as he frowned ever so lightly, he was lost in thought again as he tried to figure out how to fix his work

Clark sat down on his piano bench. "You're too hard on yourself, I think its beautiful." She said and looked over her shoulder at him and gave him a small smile. She have been too hard on herself earlier, when she was thinking about how poorly she played the piano. "But this part right here." She said and pointed to the unique writing, which she surprisingly could read. "If you changed this.." She played the short section poorly in comparison. "To this." She played it again but switched up a few notes. "It would go a little better with the rest of the piece." She said with a small smile. She knew how to play and read the piano, it was just not even close to the level he could play at. "But that is just my opinion.." She blushed lightly and shook her head. "Never mind, forget it. I don't really know what I'm saying." She said and started to stand up. She didn't know all that much, and she thought changing his song was some what rude when she thought about it.

"huh...that was so much better"

He quickly came to stand behind her, leaning over her shoulder to better see what she was pointing out as his hands came to ghost over hers

"Play that again?"

His head was tilted with interest, he hadn't seen the notes and had a hard time imagining them within the piece by hearing alone, he seemed to be completely oblivious just how close he was to Clark, his mind was to focused on the piece in front of them

Clark smiled lightly, he actually liked it? She was somewhat happy that she could help with his piece. "So all I did was..One second." She said and stopped and gently grabbed this pencil from behind his ear, she did so with a small smile. She sat back down at the bench and underlined one section lightly, and wrote above his notes, her notes. just in case he didn't want to change them to begin with, she set the pencil down next to the notebook. "I just changed these notes.." She played his version. "To these." She said and played her version. Her version had a lot of similarities to what he previously had written. She wasn't trying to change his song, just improve it. "So it's not too much different. Its mainly just switching these few keys. She said and picked up the pencil again pointing at the two notes.

his smile slowly grew as she explained the simple, but impactful change to the notes. His voice was excited as he spoke with an almost blinding smile on his lips, his eyes still trained to the notebook

"I wouldn't have thought of that!"

He then looked to Clark and seemed to tense and freeze, even his breathing froze as his eyes widened slightly as he finally registered just where he was standing. What...he didn't remember getting this close to her...

Clark smiled at the notebook then shrugged. "Sometimes you just need a another brain to help you out. If you ever need my help, don't be afraid to ask. I'm just a few doors down the hall anyways." She smiled then looked over her shoulder at him. She saw his eyes widen and she asked "Is everything okay?" She bit her lip for a few seconds before letting it go again.

he took a slow steadying breath before he straightened up and broke the eye contact, he quietly cleared his throat as he looked away embarrassedly, a hand covering his mouth as he tried to sort out his thoughts

"Yes...uh...everything....everything's fine...I just...uh...nothing..."

He could hear it obvious as daylight in his voice just how embarrassed he was for how he had been so carefree, he had put her in danger with his carelessness. The light that had ignited in his eyes died suddenly as he reminded himself of just how dangerous he was, his hand still over his mouth to try and dilute the scent of her blood he had caught being so close

Clark nodded, and looked away. "Anyways. Do you write everything you play?" She asked trying to switch the topic and ran a hand through her hair, and swept it to one side, so the other side of her neck was bare. She touched the shiny piano keys with her fingers. He had a very new grand piano, that or it was just taken care of really well.

He took a silent deep breath, calming his agitated mind and thoughts.

"mostly...now and then I'll...I'll add to some classics...change them slightly....when I don't have homework or something else to do...."

He was back to shifting his weight awkwardly, not even daring to glance down at Clark anymore. she was too...tempting.

Clark nodded "That's cool." She said and walked over to the wall of books. "Read much?" She asked with a small giggle. She took a book off the shelf and flipped through it. It was an old book, the blank pages were filled with songs written in with ink. "I'm guessing your ancestors played piano too?" She asked and flipped through more pages. She saw a name written in.. Peter. She stopped for a moment and looked up at him as she held the book.

When she looked up peter was once again right behind her, but this time he was taking the book quickly from her hands and shutting it with a snap, he slowly put it back into its place as he gently chewed on his inner cheek

"You...could say that..."

He then turned slightly away from her as he held his breath
