Name: Adrian Everest (Wu Liu Jun)

Appearance: Black hair, heterochromic eyes (right blue, left reddish-brown), features obviously of mixed race. A classically attractive face with a tall (6’1) and athletic build.

Brief Info: Adrian is the oldest son of business tycoons Elvis Everest and Mirabelle Everest (Wu Hui Ru). Elvis was the younger of two sons and aiming to start his own company rather than rely on family name. Mirabelle was a traditional girl with not-so traditional dreams of making it big away from her homeland in China. They met in Stanford University and began a start-up as friends. As their company grew, so did their relationship. They eventually married and gave birth to two children, Adrian and his younger sister, Astrid (Wu Xun Mi).

Adrian was academically talented since childhood and developed a keen interest in the field of scientific research as he grew older. He was involved and emerged victor in multiple research competitions as well as exhibitions and has been predicted by many to become a standout figure in his field of interest in the future. Currently, he is studying Pharmaceutical Science in Yale University with a focus on biomedicine and is the recipient of the JTC Research Programme Scholarship 2008.

Adrian is social, outgoing and generally well-liked by peers. Although he did not inherit the business minds of his family, their tendency toward forging large networks is prevalent in him. His face can often be spotted on the social media pages of many, though his own pages are often private and very rarely updated. Adrian's only experiences in fighting include an abrupt violent streak in middle school triggered by bullying attempts (not all against him) and subsequent boxing lessons to end said streak.

Brief Info: Tried to break out the cycle of reincarnation but clearly didn’t listen to Buddha that you can’t do that shit by force. Successfully managed to make him immortal with dire consequences. Had his stint as a Vampire cut short by his insanely obsessed wife who chopped off his head and drank his blood. Inadvertently kick-started the Vampire race. Currently back in the woodworks of reincarnation, stuck in a cycle even being a vampire can’t solve.

Name: Maria Westfall

Age: 26

Appearance: Standing at 5’5, Maria is petite and has a delicate, almost fragile frame. Fair skin matches her equally colourless white hair, which is cropped short, brushing just past her shoulders in a long bob. In contrast to her pale features, Maria’s eyes are a bright amber, almond shaped beneath delicate dark brows.

Brief info: Born to an Austrian mother (Helene Faymann) and a US born citizen (Jack Westfall). The Westfall family owns a hotel business in Europe, Malachite Hotel & Spa, and is very profitable. Jack met Helene while building one of the hotels in Austria and they married in US five years later, giving Helene US citizenship, and Maria was born two years after their marriage. The family moved often across Europe, so Maria changed schools every few years, but graduated with a high school diploma in Switzerland, where she also attended University of Zurich. Maria graduated with a bachelors and masters in Tourism and Hospitality. During the course of her studies, Maria worked at her family's business and was a part of several student communities focusing on charities aimed at building cleaning water systems in third world countries. For two years after graduating with a masters, Maria was unemployed and travelled the world, until being given the inn at a remote location by her father as a way to give her a place to focus on and make profitable. The plantation is bought in the Malachite Hotel & Spa name, acquired as a health and welfare investment. Its focus was to attract clientele seeking peaceful rest outside of tourist areas.

While at the university, Maria did not partake in any sports or clubs, but was known as a talented pianist. There are several videos online of her playing at concert halls.

Her social media is regularly updated with photos from events she attended. Parties, charity events, dinners with children of influential families. Doesn't have a boyfriend, has never been married.


Real background:

Name: Maria (original pronunciation as Mar-yah)

Age: 1086

Brief info: Maria knows precious little of her past, having had forgotten the entirety of her human memories. Her twin brother and she were born in Bulgaria in 932 to a family of minor noble birth. Their mother died at childbirth, effectively driving their father to an almost paranoid state of over protectiveness. The political tension with the Byzantine Empire had them travel to Constantinople, where Maria served as a handmaiden to the Queen. There, the twins met a woman by the name of Tiamat, the current favourite of the Court. She took both under her wing, displaying the twins as accessories to herself. When Nikola, Maria's brother, turned fifteen, he and Tiamat eloped. Maria married shortly after to a man twice her age, with whom she had two children.

Years later, Nikola returned only to abandon Maria again, having had turned her when she was 23, and they haven't seen each other since.
