After centuries as a dying, starving, unknown species, vampires have finally made the risky decision to grow their population one victim at a time. Vampirism has become a simple myth among the worldโs common folk. A blood-sucking creature of the night no longer instills fear because they arenโt real, right? But, they do; theyโre just weak. Years of being hunted and hiding has forced them to disappear, blend in with humans, and become nothing more than a myth. Theyโre starved of human blood, and generally suppressing their urges with animal blood.
The younger generations of the creatures have never had the chance to drink human blood. A whole part of their lives has been hidden behind masks, and theyโre sick of it. They want to regain the control they once had over the world. Power and control: a feeling they never had, but their elders did. Older generations are against the new movement as it disrupts their peaceful way of living.
A small community residing in the heart of Seoul has brought it upon themselves to save their dying species. A majority of the community spends their nights in the Velvet Nightclub, a hangout for the supernatural creature. Originally the Seoul public wasnโt allowed in unless apart of the community, however, with this new goal, anyone is allowed in the establishment.
Through the club, the blood-suckers are allowed to comfortably pick people to turn.
Of course, with vampires there are hunters. Families, reigning back to vampireโs powerful days, have hunted the species down to protect humans. Vampire hunters are still around but are very rare. They generally donโt have to use their skills, since their enemies are thought to be extinct. But, the Velvet Nightclub is looking suspicious.
