Here is my incredibly not as confusing as the source material messy AND UPDATED Family Tree
Zeus gets around but it's up to you how you want to address it. If like he was a father figure instead, or if you don't know he's your father (you might not - but you definitely could explore it.)
Zeus gets around but it's up to you how you want to address it. If like he was a father figure instead, or if you don't know he's your father (you might not - but you definitely could explore it.)
- I’ve divided them by households to combat some of the cringey, marrying family stuff. In this plot, I’m making it that Zeus, Posiedon, and Hades are brothers, and Hera, Demeter, and Hestia are sisters.
- I didn’t go deep into the children of the big 13, so please let me know if you want to play some of the other demi-gods and children. However, I would prefer a basis with the main Olympians.
- I ask that all characters be 18+, just because I ask that this RP be 18+. PM me if you have an issue with this, I’m a very reasonable person.
- We don’t need last names (but you can if you want to), though first to claim within a family decides the last name. You don’t have to change their name to a mortal name, but you can if you want to. They should also be aged properly: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Posiedon, and Zeus should be similarly aged as they are the first generation of the Olympian Gods.
- These are your interpretations of the characters in our New York, High Society Setting. They do not know they were ever Gods. Some can have an intuitive feeling or a God complex even, but they're just rocking out in their little bubble that Gaia controls.
- Be considerate and have fun; if you choose to fancy code your CS, mobile friendly is nice - also, no pressure to code at all. All that matters is your character and the story.

Biography
Ares was born to Hera and Zeus, although you'd never know it by the way Zeus treats him. Zeus, Zeus of all people, blamed Ares' birth on Hera being unfaithful. As such Ares was frequently shunned by the father of the gods and his heart grew hard from it. This lead to Ares acting out, causing wars and standing in the way of heroes. At his lowest he was sleeping with Hephaestus' wife Aphrodite.
Gaia change all of that when she sent the gods to the mortal realm. New York City was something entirely different. Ares channeled all of the negative energy into living his best possible life. Ares got a therapist and joined a mix martial arts gym. Ares took to MMA very quickly. He worked his way through the NYC scene and in the meanwhile made many friends.
Ares found his way into a tryout for UFC. Ares impressed with his brutal style, knocking out his opponent in 26 seconds. Ares went on to gain considerable fame and wealth in this endeavor. In only his fourth UFC fight he captured the UFC heavyweight title. Ares has since lived the high life, but he has kept his family close. Ares has also donated significant amounts of his winnings to charity. Although Ares still seeks validation from his father, but he has finally found peace among mortals.

But, as she grew up, she grew to resent her younger brother, for his temper and loud brash personality. Though a part of her pitied him. Zeus was very kind to Athena and often praised her, and she could tell that that was not the case for her brother.
Athena surpassed all of her classmates. She skipped ahead a few grades, while others her age were in grade 2, she was in grade 4. Athena knew of her intelligence and was proud of it, but this thing that she loved caused others to resent her. She didn't have many friends growing up, as those who were her age were never in her class, and those in her class deemed her too young to be friends with. And it stung more than Athena would care to admit. But, she carried on and studied hard. She threw herself into school and learning every single thing she could. She found herself entranced with law and history. She enjoyed learning about the many battles that have taken place over history and the strategies that one them. With her advanced place in her studies, Athena graduated Highschool at the age of 16.
From there she pursued her undergraduate in History, she finished the degree a year early and then took the LSAT. She then went to Law school, where afterwards she spent time interning at many places. At Law school she felt herself get drawn towards foreign policy and government law making. After a year of internships she applied to get her PhD in Political Science. She spent the next four years getting her PhD while also getting experience. At the age of 26 she graduated and got her Doctorate. She then worked into getting a position as an Intelligence Analyst for the Government. Athena loved her years in school, and learnt so many new things. But, in those years she neglected her social life, now as her life has finally slowed down she's now realizing that she is all alone. And she isn't quite sure how to feel about it.
