Storm King of Superheroes
In a land of fantasy, magic, and fickle gods/goddesses, the goddess of light and the goddess of darkness are constantly fighting. They grew up as sisters, but their relationship has been deteriorating for thousands of years. One day, a wise god steps in and suggests they each choose a champion from another world. The two sisters agree for the first time in a very long time, and go home to look for their champions. Unknowingly, the two sisters choose the same planet and their choices are two guys who happen to have a fierce rivalry.
Thomas Carter is minding his own business one day, walking along the streets of his city. It's his friend's birthday today so Thomas is out looking for a decent present, so far having no luck. "Ugh, this is exhausting! Why is it so hard to find a good present?" Then he remembers all the good times spent with his friend, and takes a deep breath before starting to look again. However, a goddess has other plans for him. A magic circle appears under his feet. "GAH! What the hell is this?" He tries to move out of it, but the magic circle moves with him, unrelenting. A few seconds later, Thomas disappears from Earth.
