hey there! my name is fox (she/her), and i'm hoping to see if anyone is potentially interested in rping with me! i won't bore you with a ton of details about myself (lying), but figured i'll say some fun things about myself before we dive into anything more serious!

psych major with a minor in entomology. (it’s the study of bugs and it’s really not that bad!)
cosplayer! i have a wide range of interest from shoujo mangas to horror games! lil’ bit of doll and figure collecting also thrown in there just for funsies
also a lover of ya fiction! it’ll be really obvious when you see my rp ideas but figured i needed to pad out my fun fact section just a tad bit more
✧ just in a silly goofy mood yknow?

now some actually relevant information about how i rp!

✧ 3rd person pov
✧ proper grammar and the works
✧ roughly 600-2k words give or take per post.
✧ willing to double (most of the time.) [preference for fxm]
✧ any gender*

*i’m willing to play any gender, but i’m also not here to fulfill all your specific desires/character needs. i know it can be hard to find someone to play that exact pairing you’ve been aching, but i’m human too and i would love to find someone who wants to rp with me because they love the concepts and ideas i have as much i do, not because i’m just willing to fill a predetermined role they already had in mind! doubling is alright in majority of the cases, just be willing to help me flesh out a plot for some newer characters! ♡

what i need from ya
18+. this is really my only hard and steady rule. i’m a senior in college, and i just don’t think it’s super appropriate for me to engage with individuals under the age of eighteen, especially when my roleplay plots contain romance or potentially dark topics. this is absolutely nothing against younger writers, and i hope y’all understand!
✧ lazy lit to lit. i think describing post length as ‘lit’ is a lil’ silly but it’s pretty cemented in our community! i don’t always need a longer post, especially if the scene doesn’t call for it, but in general i’m looking for someone who will hit the same range i do.
✧ chit-chat with me! we don’t gotta be best buddies but communication is always appreciated. also im like super cool and hip so you def wanna hear my hot takes on the monster high collecting community
✧ rp on site! pms or threads don’t matter to me
✧ respect my triggers, and please let me know of any you have!
✧ once a week or more replies? it’s a far out there request but i wanna try

01. space - smugglers - criminals - futuristic
Body-transferring has been outlawed for years, and for a good damn reason. In the face of an ever-expanding universe and such little time, humans created a process in which one doesn't die of old age. By transferring their consciousness to the younger body, one can continue to explore the world while effectively getting a second chance at life. The only issue is, youthful bodies don't just pop up out of nowhere, empty of a consciousness of their own. When young men and women begin to go missing all across the galaxy, only to turn up with no connection to their lives, it quickly became clear that the use of body-transferring wasn't used to help continuous space exploration, but instead keep the dying wealthy alive and youthful. Today, no one can legally transfer to a new body.

But in the darkest corners of space, the dying rich spend millions to raise the 'perfect' body. Born with their desired features, these individuals grow up in an 'orphanage' and learn specific physical tasks in the hopes to graduate to the promised 'University.' It's only when they reach the age of twenty-two are they put into cryosleep for their journey across the universe, only to never wake up again.

Muse A is a low-class space smuggler, who doesn't ask questions and simply gets from Point A to Point B. They don't look at the cargo, they don't ask about the cargo, and they certainly don't care about the cargo. It's only when they hear someone politely asking for help do they realize who they're unintentionally smuggling across the galaxy. When Muse B emerges from their malfunctioning pod, they're absolutely convinced Muse A has kidnapped them for some unknown reason, and they two begin to quickly butt heads. As the truth is slowly revealed to Muse B, the two begin their journey across the galaxy in an attempt to right what was wrong, while avoiding those they've angered just by existing. Muse B was a product never delivered, and Muse A is the one responsible.

02. gothic - mystery - ghosts - unexplained happenings
On the small island of Pandrosa, the ocean is never calm. Storms constantly rage, and the sky is always gray. The dead aren't buried, but rather sent out to sea to float away. Only a few ships brave the storms for supplies, and it's not uncommon for newer vessels to never return. In the cold winter nights, chattering old women tell children to stay far away from the cliffs and imposing rocks, for one strong gust of wind could send them toppling over.

It seems that no one informed Muse A's sister of that, whose body was found on the craggily rocks below, her fresh nightgown bloodied and ripped. Misfortune has dogged Muse A's family for the past several years, as they continue to lose family members to tragic and freak accidents. One sibling slipped and hung themselves in the lighthouse, while another seemingly walked right into the sea while they slept, only waking up to scream for help before they went under. There's only so much tragedy one can handle, and Muse A is nearly at their limit.

That is, until the storms settle and the ports begin to open again. As the sun shines through the clouds for the first time in years, Muse A can only wonder if it's a sign from the Gods that something good is going their way. Yet something in the air seems strong, and the mystery stranger (Muse B) that Muse A has found themselves acquainted with seems to know more than they let on. As more ships pour into the port, more and more begins to go wrong in their little village. What’s worse, Musa A is being haunted by the ghostly apparitions of their deceased siblings. Is Muse A able to solve the mystery with Muse B, or are they soon to face the same fate as the ghosts haunting them, shipped out to sea in a wooden coffin?

03. light-heearted - journey - mystery - supernatural
Muse A has just received some awful news. They're supposed to kill the Queen before her coronation, and not get caught whilst doing so. They also don't know why they need to do such a thing, but are warned of grave consequences if they fail. Unfortunately for Muse A, there are several issues. Not only is the princess their former best friend, Muse A is a terrible aim and now apparently poison darts are the only way to go. (Thank you, mysterious Seer who has decided to be as vague as possible.) Despite being the best potion master in the kingdom, nothing can prevent them from missing the princess and barely escaping with their life. Now on the run as a fugitive, Muse A must somehow evade the kingdom's army while circling back to still kill the Princess before she's crowned Queen and something terribly awful happens. (Allegedly.)

Fortunately for Muse A, they just so happen to run into Muse B while hiding in the trees from a particularly nasty guard hot on their trail. Muse B is also on the run, though they won't say what for, and neither will Muse A. Together, both decide to help each other return to the kingdom and finish what they need to do.. Unfortunately for them, the trip back is filled with goblins and trolls, witches and warlocks, and a lot of talking animals that just won't shut up. There's also the issue of Muse A being a wanted criminal, and the fact that Muse B is the one marrying the soon-to-be Queen and is trying to find her would-be assassin. Whoops.

04. sirens - pirates - mystery - dark*

The seas no longer belong to the men who used to rule the waves with wooden vessels. For whatever reasons fifteen years ago, they showed up. Beautiful and alluring, these creatures of the sea peeked up from the waves with lovely voices and suggestive gazes. But when their lips parted and the songs began, so did the slaughter. Entire fleets were wiped out by these half human, half fish women, and trading was nearly destroyed. No one was safe from these creatures, dubbed 'sirens.' They stole the hearts quite literally from the chests of their victims, and never stuck around long enough for capture.

But mankind doesn't fall so easily. Hunters began to arise, and take out the nasty creatures. Turning to foam once they were killed, soon ships of grizzled hunters were sent out to spear these beastly women. One ship in particular excelled at hunting, their captain [A] known for being the prince of a neighboring kingdom. He ditched a life of gold and pleasure for salt and brine. He had one goal, and that was to kill every single sea-bitch there was.

Yet when he finds a woman [B] floating in the water one quiet night, his entire life is flipped. Animalistic and nasty, the woman offers one thing to the captain. If he delivers her to land to retrieve a mythical item, she'll teach him the secret to killing the Queen of Sirens. With her dead, the creatures would have no leader. No motivation to keep killing. He has no reason to trust the woman, but something about her is familiar. She reeks of the sea and blood, and the necklace around her neck is known to be only worn by sirens. Will a shaky alliance form, or will the two find themselves at each other's throats?

*im being a greedy little glutton for plot 04 simply because i have a character that i've been wanting to use for Ages as Muse B. every other plot i'm willing to take either Muse.
