Unprepared

A follow-up to our dearly departed friend Disappointed, expressing how unprepared we all were for this move.  A place to talk about update issues and criticism.

After reading the other thread, if I may throw in my two cents (Probably worth closer to half a cent)...


I definitely was unprepared and unfavorable of the new update, as the title says, particularly when first viewing it via mobile. That said, though, I have also been on half a dozen to a dozen different RP sites and forums before coming here, and I considered crawling back to one of them, because no one likes change, that is obvious.



But, I gave it a chance, and I'm slowly adapting, I think. Now, I think my only complaint (aside from features such as BBC still being worked on) would be the oddity of the Character signup; Despite the description, I would still encourage just a general signup thread as opposed to character threads, plural.


But, that is a rather miniscule complaint and just my opinion compared to issues I had with any aforementioned sites I had been a member of.


It will take time to get used to some features of the new layout, but I definitely find it possible. Still the best place I've stopped thus far.

I'm not a fan of the new update, but mostly because I just joined and got used to the old format, and now it's like I just signed up  since I don't know anything once again ;-;


I'll give it time, but the old format looked less intimidating in my opinion.

I believe that things might look up after the update is entirely finished, but right now... I'm really butthurt about all of this.


I've tested out some of the BBCoding we've got to work with right now, and it's very limited, yeah... Also... there are no line breaks in some stuff.


For example, if I want to type:

in tabs... it comes out looking like this:

EDIT: Also... you cannot look at what changes you make to different tabs unless you post. The preview won't allow you to look either, and sometimes the tabs don't even work.
