The sun's bright rays woke her up almost instantly.
She found an unusual pain in her chest, as if it was clogged and her right leg had a dull pain at the knee. The reaction was instant when she tried to move from where she was: she vomited- coughed up water and the pain in her leg increased because of the coughing fit she had afterwards. Her eyes finally opened to see just where she was; Steph was almost hanging from an airplane seat that was jutting out horizontally instead of a usual vertical drop.
She gasped, but didn't scream at seeing that she was in a plane that had it's nose pointing straight up. The woman turned as much as was possible in her seat and ignored the searing pain that was obviously her broken leg. She could see tons and tons of water gushing in from the tail of the giant plane, rising up slowly towards her from a story or two below.
