Upon being addressed, and barely glancing over to the young woman bumping into Felix's shoulder, he returned his attention to the man with a nod. "Affirmative. It's a long damn story.."
Felix only glanced down to the woman as he spoke up softly. "Careful, lass. Don't need you gettin' hurt before the battle."
“Ah, I think Stroheim found a good visual…”, he spoke up after a pause. His eyes were currently glazed out and glowing a faint blue; a sign that he was looking through his familiar’s eyes. “The area appears barren but I can spot a few mountains here and there, and-” He stopped for a moment, pursing his lips. “... It looks like there’s indeed a literal army waiting for us on the other side… Konahrik’s there, of course, as well as a Saiyan, uhh, I think that’s Sonic the Hedgehog… … Wow, there really are a lot more people than expected. At least it doesn’t look like Stroheim got spotted, meaning invisibility could be a potential strategy to use…”
The half-elf then proceeded to give some details on the army itself, briefly describing the different ‘units’, ranting a little about what he thought they could do. He slightly grimaced when he saw O’Chunks… send himself in the air but quickly went back to his more serious expression.
Briefly disconnecting from Stroheim, the sorcerer rose a hand toward Marco and Arco, which started glowing with a warm, blue-ish energy. “Um, here. If you’re not too keen about combat, you could help from the side. That’s to help you survive if you find yourselves in danger.”
That same magical energy enveloped Marco and Arco, who could both feel a bit of strength course through their bodies. It wasn’t much, but the buff spell Kazwellor used made them a little stronger, faster and made their reflexes a bit more keen; at least enough to help if some stray enemy units started going after them.
“Alright, with that being said, let’s go…” Taking a breath, Kaz followed everyone else through the portal, his eyes darting from side to side, confirming everything Stroheim saw was correct.
Automatic gunfire soon drowned out the squabbling as HUNK wasted no time tearing into the approaching army at 900 rounds per minute. He swept from left to right, pulse rifle sawing into the front ranks.
Jack, meanwhile, raised both his M7's to bear; the target reticle turning red as he let loose his own version of 900rnds/min devastation; the two SMG's combining with HUNK's rifle turning the horde in front of him to mulch.
While he was tempted to blast through the army with his most powerful spells, that would only make him a big target by the more powerful ones in the bunch. “Alright, let’s start a little slow…” His palms surged with magical energy as he unleashed powerful bolts of magic toward the first enemies he saw. They fortunately didn’t seem very strong as they fell after only a few hits each.
Taking note of where the powerful ones were, Kaz quickly cast a Mage Armor spell on himself, boosting his defenses in case he got caught by surprise. For the moment, he judged it’d be best to take care of the army while Konahrik and his lieutenants were busy with the others.
“This isn’t too good…”, he clicked his tongue before he continued blasting the weaker foes with arcane bolts. This spell, while a bit weak compared to the rest of his arsenal, took next to no energy to use and could be casted in very quick succession, making it perfect against groups and single enemies alike.
The boulders and stones crashed down around the UCA team, several of the latter battering the gunman’s helmet. HUNK knew exactly what had to be done. Tiliting up the muzzle of the weapon a few degrees more, he hurled grenade shells into the back lines, one after the other until the U1’s four-round magazine was empty.
Jack and Felix ran up to stop short of the Umbrella operative about three meters back and to the left of his position; raising up their own weapons to engage the cluster of strange-looking hostiles no taller than a Grunt and... two-dimensional? Felix called out to HUNK, yet moreso a global address to anyone within earshot. "GRENADE ROUNDS IN EFFECT, GET CLEAR!" With the barrel of the M319 raised upward, Felix depressed the trigger and, with a mechanically cyclic sound, the first grenade round was lobbed out of the barrel; screaming through the air as it tore into a cluster and detonated; the distance great enough to avoid the fragmentation radius and potential blue-on-blue casualties. Already, Felix had broken the breech open; ejecting the spent shell and inserting another before throwing the breech up and clicking it into place; sending another round into a different cluster.
Ellie and Hailey had stopped about ten meters back from the frontline; with Hailey taking a knee and bringing the scope of the anti-material rifle up to visor level as Ellie took a knee beside her; resting her MA5K Carbine onto her left knee. With a seconds pause, the suppressed "PCH-CHEEEWW" signaled the suppressed deliverance of a horrific 14.5x114mm FMJ-AP round screaming overhead of the front line; leaving a trailing white contrail that went straight into the nearest cloud-type hostile; hopefully before it could complete getting into range. Within another second, Hailey had swapped targets to another cloud; with Ellie keeping close watch on the battlefield around her.
“Cover me while I reload and aim for their ranged units,” he ordered while stepping back cautiously to take cover behind a shattered boulder.
Raditz looked toward his father with concern, a fight was starting and he's just lost in thought? "Father? Are you losing it? Our enemy is right in front of us, and you're acting like a baboon."
Goret seemed a little confused too, not sure if he just wants to jump in and punch Bardock in the face, or just let the guy do his thing so he can actually fight. "I'd ask if he's all there, but I'm not sure if that'd be in character of me."
"Listen, Raditz. It's the God of Destruction, Beerus. He found a way to contact me here. You know what he did. He's... talking to me via telepathic link."
Bardock eyed Gorat who was standing there slightly more confused than usual.
"What the hell are those guys on?" Fleetway asked, confused.
"They're talking to someone." Goret said. "I remember, they used to do that when I invaded their world long ago...."
“Hm…” Taking a small pause after finishing an assault against a stray group of Skelobits and Clubbas, Kazwellor took notice of O’Chunk and started pondering. Unlike some of the others, this one didn’t seem as… keen of mind as the others, meaning his resistance to some mental spells would be lower than others. At least, that's how he was used to it working. “What if I just…?”
After making sure he was safe, the sorcerer pointed a finger toward the Scottish enemy and focused his magic, sending a psychic spell. If it worked as intended, O’Chunk’s senses would suddenly become blurred and his movements sluggish, almost to the point of incapacitating him for a few moments.
Before the mysterious stranger entered, SpongeBob was walking with Iron Man, talking about something involving building Glove World at the base.A young girl had just entered the Watchtower, looking around and completely confused. Where was she? How did she get here? One moment she closed her eyes to rest and now...
Now she was here. Talim looked around at all the strange characters but none of them exuded any negative energy. Was that a sponge? And a man made of metal?
Odd.
"Excuse me, do you know where I am?"
Iron Man and SpongeBob led the young woman into the Watchtower's room. Inside they can see Cugai and Fugai, administrators, speaking with Vector The Crocodile, Marie, Marina, and Pearl.Talim frowned not even questioning the talking sponge at this point. This all seemed so bizarre, like she was on some sort of cosmic vision quest. Was that it? Had she failed in her quest to purify the evil sword and so had been dismissed here as punishment?
There had to be a reason.
Talim followed inside, hoping to find an answer.
"Aw, of course we can help you." Marina said.Talim blushed a bit, averting her eyes as she suddenly became the center of attention. "I...My name is Talim, and I was on my way home. I suddenly see this odd flash of bright light and suddenly I am here, and I do not know why. Can you help me return to my home?" she asked innocently.
Cugai pointed to CiMos, who proceeded to show an image of a giant purple crystal, along with the smaller ones floating neatly around it. "This is The Genesis. It is the watcher of all known universes. Those small crystals floating around it are the universes that it keeps flowing through reality. One of these universes could be yours."Talim perked up, a light breeze suddenly flowing throughout the room. They needed help? From her? And what was that about a 'Dark Multiverse'?
"Hello. My name is Talim. How can I help you?"
"Well, first we need to give you your honorary welcome to the U.C.A. Cue the words!" Fugai pointed to the sky.Talim listened, watching as she took all of the information in. This was bad. If left unchecked, there was no telling what this villain could do! Could he be even worse than Soul Edge?
"I see. How can I help?"
