Personality: Ulvard is a very simple man, not to say he is a fool, he just chooses not to overthink things. Why meddle with things like gods, politics, and Honor when finding your next meal and being aware of your surroundings is so much more important. He tends to mind his business when possible but is not above using Intimidation and even violence when the situation calls for it, two things at which he excels greatly. Yet never let it be said that Ulvard is a cruel man, Even before he was “Civilized” rumors had begun spreading of a giant in the frigid mountains who would tend to lost or injured travelers.

History: Ulvard was born In a bit of a sticky situation to say the least. His parents were merchants traveling in the northern parts of Rhema when a blizzard Struck their Caravan. Their wagons were stuck and in a desperate push they managed the barely make it to a nearby Town. Sadly his father would be lost to frostbite and his mother would be stuck in this town operating a shop she opened when the blizzard cleared. Ulvard, though a sweet boy, had a ravenous appetite and seemed to grow larger with each passing week. However the towns locals pitched in to help raise and educate the boy, there was no school in such a small village so they just brought him into the community. At only ten he was six feet tall and would help the local lumberjack haul wood, he would help his mother fetch goods for sale, even help the local farmers wrangle their cattle. Sure his appetite, strength, and clumsy adolescent years were a burden, but he was so helpful and kindhearted that it was one they were all willing to bear.

By the time he was fourteen the boy was a tremendous seven and a half feet tall, his strength rivaled any man in the village and even a good majority of the horses. As such when bandits came from the mountains to raid his village he was among the men who took up arms against them. Most however were just farmers or lumberjacks and were unable to do much. However Ulvard shattered his weapon, a large wooden mallet, in his first swing bringing one man down dead on the spot. A second man he incapacitated by lifting him over his head and hurling him at least fifteen feet away to land with a crunch and a moan of agony. Against the fountain wall. The bandits leader called a stop to the fighting and seeing the value in such a powerful asset he made Ulvard a deal, join them and the villagers would not be harmed. Seeing no way out the Young boy agreed, and though the bandits stole meals and ale from the local tavern they adhered to their word.

For another Six years Ulvard would grow under the less than tender care of the mountain bandits. They taught him to hunt and had him gather his own food, Hunger drove Ulvard to become good at it. They taught him to fight, and Self preservation made him become good at that as well, admittedly with some help from the genetic lottery. Soon he was an indomitable force within the mountains. His presence alone was enough to encourage caravans to release their contents to his cohorts. When it wasnt, a single thunderous swing of his heavy iron weapons would usually flatten any opposition. Eventually however that even was insufficient. An order of Moravan knights Came to deal with the mountain bandits, their chapters lord saying “bring me the giant alive”. Ulvard convinced his bandit brethren to stand down, and watched in horror as they were cut down anyway and he was taken in chains for his crimes.

The Moravan Knights imprisoned Ulvard for three years, during which time he was “reeducated” into an “civilized” man. Under penalty of the lash he was taught to read and write. In chains with wooden weapons he was taught to fight better, and under penalty of Flogging he was trained in the Orders tenants of honor and knighthood. While he memorized these lessons, and repeated them as expected, he never took them to heart. After all he had seen the honor of these knights first hand. When they were certain he was ready to be a knight he was removed from prison and put in the order as a conscript. Yet he quickly left the order, when a lord requested him to he a personal bodyguard. He had finally stopped growing and in all the kingdom one would he hard pressed to find a trained and educated nine and a half foot Knight. Eventually this lord would relinquish Charge of Ulvard to the queen who had requested the Famous knight known as “The Giant” After tales of his defeating an ogre in single combat at the defense of his lord spread.

Other: Ulvard keeps with him an impressive arsenal of weaponry. This arsenal includes.

Iron Dire Glaive- His primary weapon which is basically a single solid pole of iron. The bottom is hexagon shaped and covered in spikes, with the top being a three headed Glaive with brutal serrations leaving jagged wounds in their wake. This monsterous weapon weighs almost 200lbs the weight of a strong man! It is Sized to be a head taller than Ulvard making this weapon almost eleven feet in length. A two handed swing from this has been known to fell multiple men at once.

Three Iron Swords- a greatsword with a five and a Half foot blade which Ulvard weilds one handed as though it were a longsword. A longsword with a three foot blade which Ulvard wields as a Short sword. And a two foot short sword with Ulvard wields as a dagger.

Modified Crossbow- A crossbow with an extended grip for Ulvards large hands. He is accurate up to about 40 meters but begins to rapidly lose accuracy beyond this.​
