Fantasy Under The Watch (Remake)

Connor stepped into the room and looked around. Mostly wood, a couple of rodents, nothing bad. It kept humans out, so it was good enough. He turned around to Sebastion and Aimee. Arno stood at his side. "Either of you have ideas as to why you why we were called out?" Arno walked off from his owner. He began walking around and sniffing everything in sight, occasionally chasing a mouse for a moment or two before going back to exploring.

Aimee glared at the dog, "that beast better not harm the creatures taking refuge in my home. And no I do not have any idea why the Watch called us, specifically, out like they did. Maybe they wanted dog stew?" Aimee laughed behind her hand, she'd like very much for that animal to stop roaming her home like it was his right to do so. She glanced at Sebastian, he was quiet but then again he didn't seem to want to talk to either her or Connor. Aimee noticed a small movement within his jacket, Hmmmm, what's he hiding?

Arno looked up at Aimee for a moment, then went back to exploring after finding a lack of danger. Connor glared at Aimee for a moment before continuing his questions. "Have either of you done anything recently that would acquire the attention of the Watch? Major crimes, high-profile murders, the sort of thing that isn't just common theft."

She shrugged barely acknowledging Connor's question, "Like nobody else has done some major crime? I mean if you call making someone eat his own male organ a major theft then I have no idea what you mean." Aimee absently smiled, remembering the day perfectly, served him right for raping a young girl in her own backyard, I just wish I had heard her screams before he'd touched her. Aimee frowned from the memory, walking to a chair by the window that overlooked her small garden on the right side of the house. Her artwork littered the floor around the chair but she walked over them without breaking anything, as if she floated over them. Picking up an unfinished piece of the girl from her memory and started shading in shadows. "I've been cooped up here for about a month until today, so I doubt it was something I did to gather the Watch's attention." Her fingers, smudged in black chalk, she started shaping the girl's facial features.

He followed them, purposefully stepping on every furry thing he finds, picking them up and pocketing them for Nyx. Hey dumbass, it's getting uncomfortable in here! . She said to him. Sebastian chuckled, opening his coat to allow her to climb out. She went out and went to his shoulder, eyeing their two companions warily. "Well, nothing too bad. I mean, I just killed at least three people this week, can you believe that?! I must be losing my edge." He said, grinning maniacally. "Ooh, nice drawings. Maybe you'd want to draw me like one of your french girls." He said, winking at Aimee.

A pencil went flying towards Sebastian's head, "Leave the rodents of this house alone! They keep out the bugs! I don't care if you have a cat, I'm sure it's capable of catching its own food!" Aims growled but stayed seated, finishing a the last details of the portrait and setting it aside to grab an empty canvas and the paint collections. "Don't move" she grumbled as she gathered paint onto her fingers and started creating the background around Sebastian.

Connor rubbed his temple, despite his hood still in the way. "Alright, then that means we-" A thud was heard from the outside of the wall. Another thud came, and then another. Connor and Arno both jerked their heads in the direction of the sounds and stared. The half-demon creaked the door open and peaked outside, seeing nothing in the distance. He looked to where the thuds came from, and saw three arrows sticking into the wooden wall, with all three having a note attached to them.

Aimee looked up from her painting Sebastian's figure, she'd use a detailing brush for his facial features and such later, hearing the thudding noise. She watched Connor peak out the door, "what is it? No humans should be able to walk with this vicinity, like I said." She put down the portrait and elbowed Connor out of the way to pull the door open full force. "I don't cower when my land has uninvited guests." She took a few steps forward onto the porch, noticing the three arrows with notes attached, "So which one of us is dumb enough to grab the notes?", thinking to herself, It could be a trap so I'm not getting them.

"Who said it was for the cat?" He said, his grin showing off his sharp fangs. He grabbed one rodent and ate it in one chomp. "Ooh, they taste so good." He said, licking his lips. Oh god, you are so gross! Can't you at least eat it in public?! She said, looking at him with disgust. He saw Aimee painting him and he put on the most provocative pose he can, his face remaining serious. He heard thuds coming from outside. "Ooh, letters. Would anyone want to get it?" He asked, seeing the arrows.

Connor looked at Aimee. "You said, and I quote, 'I don't cower when my land has uninvited guests.', so I say you should go." Arno and his owner both walked back inside. Connor leaned against a wall while Arno went back to sniffing around the room. "On a side note, you can't blame my dog for missing rodents anymore."

Growling loudly and kicking at Sebastian, she bared her teeth at Connor. Turning away, she made her way towards the notes, How dare that bastard use my words against me! Uninvited guests has nothing to do with papers, papers can't attack anyone!, "Argh! I should kick their butts out!" Standing beside the tree, Aimee glanced around for the intruders. She couldn't see anyone but she badly wanted to bite their throats out or stab them a few times with their own arrows. Tugging out the arrows, she grabbed the letters, holding onto the arrows and let's she glanced around once more before going back to her house. She went to Connor, slamming one of the arrows beside his head into the wood and shoving the letters at him, "Here you go, oh cowardly dog boy that makes women do the dirty work."

Connor was ignored the insult and arrow. "Not my fault, you were the one who suggested that you go." He grabbed the notes and read each allowed. "Tyson Monsoon has requested to meet you all. Come armed and ready for a task. If you do not, we will begin firing upon your shack, with more than just arrows." Connor looked up, with a surprised look on his face.

"Who's Tyson Monsoon?" Aimee tilted her head, "more than just arrows? Great, my home is the center of a storm." Sighing she sat on the floor, biting her nails. "Wait they want us armed for a task? That's dumb, what makes them think we will actually help them?" She looked up to Sebastian then Connor.

"Tyson is the ruler of the city. He's powerful, no man can take him on alone. From the sound of it, the reason we should help them is because they'll destroy this place if we don't, and since we're in it..." Connor put the notes in one of his pouches. "The castle is full of guards, and Tyson alone could take all of us easily, so they also know we won't attack them."

He stood up, brushing the dust off his pants. "Well, what are you two waiting for?" He asked them, heading towards the door. He looked at the two of them, a maniacal grin on his face. "What? We can finally kill someone without any of the guards, even the Watch, interfering with us. Well, the guards and Watch don't post much of a threat, but they are annoying as hell." He said, the grin still present on his face. "And besides, do you see any other way out of this pitiful situation?" He asked them both.

Sighing Aimee got up from the floor, "You're right, Sebastian. I at least want my home here and in the shape it's in now than a bunch of rubble, when I return." She was actually feeling frightened of stepping out of her home to see this Tyson Monsoon, she heard of him but was never really sure who he was. Maybe she could stay behind Sebastian and Connor and pretend not to exist, stepping up she looked around Sebastian to the outside. "Lead the way then."
