Lyllith Violeta Fonteyn

40980962ebfb44f4dd17a68d14e96b81.jpg
Basics

Name: Lyllith Violeta Fonteyn

Age: 17

Role/Position: First Princess of the Fonteyn Family
Appearance

Hair Color: wavy, chestnut brown

Eye Color: pale, sky blue

Appearance:
Lyllith, while petite, has an air of confidence around her. Her posture is nearly perfect, and her eyes are sharp and observant. Wavy chestnut hair tumbles down to halfway down her black, and she chooses it not to style it in a fanciful arrangement except when she goes out to meet the Birds (in which case she ties it back in a ponytail). Her skin is an almost creamy white with freckles dotting parts of her face from time in the sun. Normally, her face is free of makeup, as she believes that being required to wear it is absolutely ridiculous.

When in the castle, Lyllith will wear the fancy gowns and jewelry expected of her station, though a frown often accompanies such outfits. When she ventures outside of the palace, however, she wears a tightly fitted tunic and pants tucked into boots. Sometimes she'll wear a corset instead of a tunic, but either way, she wears a cloak over the outfit to hide her face. As she's still young, her fangs are rather unnoticeable, and she's started to master the art of retracting them.
Personality

Personality:
Lyllith is naturally rebellious and headstrong. Within her family, she's belligerent and opinionated, especially when dealing with her elder brother, Aleron. In front of the court and the aristocracy, however, she plays along to the part of the perfect princess, with lovely manners and decorum. She collects gossip she feels is important and ignores what she doesn't, in hopes of being able to pass them on to the Birds.

Despite not being the direct perpetrator, Lyllith feels terribly guilty for the oppression vampires have inflicted the humans with, which is why she wants to do everything she can to help the Birds. Though she doesn't hate her kind, she hates the rules of the monarchy. She knows that somewhere out there are other vampires who feel the same way she does about it, though they're too afraid to show it. This is half the reason she's so close to Phoenix; he understands her views and helps her with the Birds' rebellion.

She knows she's not fit as any sort of leader or fighter, but if she can help in any small way to take down her parents and Aleron, she'll take the risk.

Skills:
-gathering information
-acting like she doesn't care/does care
-arguing with Phoenix

Likes:
-Phoenix
-the Birds
-rebelling
-wearing pants

Dislikes:
-Aleron and her parents
-unfair treatment of humans
-being looked down on
-stuffy aristocrats

History

History:
From the moment she was born, Lyllith's parents knew they'd be able to marry her off to some aristocrat to strengthen their relations with the court. As a little girl, she had a strictly regimented schedule full of lessons on manners and decorum, not to mention how to properly act as a princess. Lyllith despised these lessons with all her heart, and she would often try to escape them. The time she got with her brothers was precious to her.

This was a time when Lyllith still looked up to her older brother, who seemed so mature, so responsible. Yes, she spent far more time with Phoenix, but Aleron was always the silent figure she watched with awe. That is, until she learned of the oppression of humans. It was just a small word from a servant, and with kind and gentle urging, she discovered what life was really like for humans outside of the castle. Fontenell had somehow managed to pull this off for a millennia, and that didn't sit well with Lyllith.

From then on, Lyllith committed small acts of rebellion, from refusing to punish a human servant for a mistake to arguing with Aleron over how to rule the kingdom. Her position wasn't ideal--she was expected to marry an aristocrat, after all--but that didn't stop her from trying. Finally, she decided to leave the castle one night under cover of darkness. The darkness her kind took so well to.

With a cloak to cover her face, she sneaked away from the castle and into the capital city. The more she explored the city, the more she realized how terrible life for humans was. There was the occasional scream of an attack by a common vampire or a human being dragged away to be a blood slave. On the streets, Lyllith met Kentin, who, thinking she was a lone human, took her to the base of the Uncaged Birds.

Lyllith was amazed by the organization. Everyone seemed lively and dedicated, certainly more than she'd ever been to her duty. She begged to join, and the Birds seemed to consider it. However, someone tripped over her cloak, and her hood was thrown back, revealing gaping mouth and therefore her fangs. The Birds were ready to kill her right there, but Kentin stopped them. He proposed an idea to let her join them and spy on the castle for them. She agreed to the terms, and she became a Bird. (Phoenix did, too, since apparently he'd been following her. He got a sound scolding later.)

Lyllith will defend the Birds to her last breath, and she will do anything to help them succeed in overthrowing Aleron.
Miscellaneous

Weapons:
Lyllith isn't trained to use any sort of weapon, though she does carry a letter opener at all times and has been practicing how to use daggers. ("Only a real lady uses a letter opener to defend herself.")

Relationships:
Aleron--
Phoenix--
Duncan--
Lyra--
Kentin--
Cassiana--

Other:
Lyllith cannot hold her liquor. She's extremely giggly and flirty when drunk.

Duncan Mauntell

Name: Duncan Mauntell
Age: 25
Role/Position: Leader of the Uncaged Birds
Hair Color: Dark Brown, looks almost black in certain lighting
Eye Color: His eyes are blue but there is a bit of brown in his left eye.
Appearance: Duncan is of average height for men of his age, standing at 6'1". He weighs around 205 pounds, much of his body is well toned muscle with his legs and core being strong. His figure is imposing and he uses that to his advantage to cow and intimidate others.
He's handsome and he knows it. He has an easy going smile for just about anyone, excluding vampires of course. He dresses neatly, mostly in dark clothes so as to not stand out when he goes about his business.

The Man Himself

Personality: In the most basic of ways to describe him Duncan is a good man. He considers the needs and feelings of others before his own. He always wants to do the right thing though his morality system is very black and white with little room in between so the "right thing" may not necessarily be the best or smartest option. While he is outspoken and confident in what he says, he lacks natural charisma and charm though his awkwardness seems to have endeared him to the masses in spite of that. Duncan is brave and is willing to step up and lead when no one else will.
Although is quick to judge and make decisions, Duncan is not so bullheaded that he won't listen to wise council when it's offered.
He has a way of making a person feel like they are the only one in the world. When he focuses on you he gives you his full attention, valuing what you have to say. Some would even describe him as sweet as he's naturally just nice.
He's also surprisingly intelligent and well learned. He had a good education which fostered his love of reading and learning. His mind is sharp and tactical, making him an excellent strategist.
But he's not without his faults. Though he is calculating considers his every move when it really counts, Duncan is headstrong and impulsive when it comes to matters in his personal life and relationships. Again he is quick to pass judgement on people if he knows anything about them and doesn't like what he sees. He can be provoked to anger a bit too easily and he does not give his trust away until a person has proved themselves to be worth it. He's actually quite paranoid and worries entirely too much about possibilities that may never come to pass. Duncan very much fears failing and he hates to be a disappointment. Duncan greatly values trust and honesty - if you break those values he has no problem cutting you out of his life permanently.

Skills: Leadership, negotiation, plotting & planning, horseback riding
Likes: Duncan loves alcohol, greasy food, rainy nights, warm soft beds, spending the night in the company of a beautiful woman, reading & researching, laying out in the grass and stargazing, caring for and breeding horses
Dislikes: Duncan hates cats as he's allergic, hates vampires and the servitude and oppression they impose on his people

History: Duncan is the third child born to Lydia and Kristoph Mauntell, having two elder sisters Aniyah and Kristina. His family is actually fairly well off. His father is a successful merchant who imports and exports exotic goods into the city while his mother is a talented seamstress and portrait painter. His parents both placed emphasis on the importance of a good education for their children and worked very hard to make sure the three attended the best school available to them. Duncan didn't always mix with school until he discovered the joys of reading. He would spend hours locked away in his room with his nose in a book, transported to other worlds by the rows of text. He grew to appreciate his parents insistence on education as he learned a great deal about the world.

His relationship with vampires did not take a dark turn until he was around the age of 14. His eldest sister had caught the eye of the vampire king and the beast insisted on having her. His parents were of course powerless to say no and his sister was whisked off to the palace to become a blood slave - and likely a bed slave. Over 10 years later and the family still has not seen even a glimpse of her though they know she still lives from the small "fee" the crown sends them yearly as a token of "thanks" for their daughters service. He'd harbored a hatred for the vampires since then but that was not the final strike. That came when just 5 years ago, Duncan's beloved uncle Edmund Mauntell along with a dozen other community leaders were captured, tried and publicly executed for inciting rebellion against the crown. Wanting revenge, Duncan and others gathered together and began to build upon what his uncle had started. They created an more organized rebellion and named it the Uncaged Birds. Because of his intelligence and natural disposition towards leading, Duncan was named the leader of the rebellion. A position which he accepted wholeheartedly. Now was the time to strike back and release the human race from suffering at the hands of vampires once and for all.

Relationships & Additional Info

Weapons: Duncan is not very skilled with using any weapons at all. But Cassiana has been teaching him to use guns which he is quite enjoying learning. He keeps a pistol she gifted him with on his persons at all times.

Sheriff S."Sunshine" Cereus
Basics

Name: S. "Sunshine" Cereus

Age: 49

Role/Position: Sheriff, leader of the day-guard in the capital
Minor noble
Appearance

View attachment 362414
Hair Color: Copper Red.

Eye Color: Golden

Appearance:
An imposing figure, the crimson sheriff, due to her diurnal routine, is rarely seen without the ornate armour of her station covering her from the sun. Kept meticulously clean and polished, the Sheriff aims to present to the masses an image of an immaculate upholder of order, draped in the crimson silks of her station.

While rarely seen without her helmet, the golden-eyed lawbringers face shows the first signs of age, with faint, black circles under her eyes betraying the effects of her disrupted sleeping schedule. Rarely seen, her teeth have gone through the natural growth of her kind, and now a fanged, needle-toothed mouth is always hiding behind a faint smile of hers.

Personality

Personality:
A lifelong professional, "Sunshine" has fitted in to her role quite well as the understanding, but strict arbiter of the city, trying to keep the natural predations of the vampiric casts and the rebelliousness of the humans in a fragile balance. While sympathy has never been a strong point of hers, her pragmatism, and the general idea that any trouble the peasantry might start will fall on her head sooner or later, has made her a cautious, and a methodical predator.
Has taken a liking to woodcarving to pass the time, and is surprisingly open and happy to discuss her hobby, unnerving many of the human carpenters and carvers in the city.
Skills:
-Mass management
-Policing tactics
-Law(chaotic as it is in this setting)

Likes:
-Humans(For taste)
-Hierarchy
-Routine
-Wood carving

Dislikes:
-Unannounced feedings and abductions
-Criminal underclass
-Foreign vampires
-Rebellions
-Sun

History

History:
A minor noble who distinguished herself in a small rebellion some 30 years ago, "Sunshine" had earned herself distinction through managing to fight through the vampires natural dislike of the sun and adapting the fastest to the then-used tactics of day-time harassment by the human dissidents. Managing to daytime-ambush the rebellions leaders, her actions led to a quick victory on the Royalists side, and earned her even open praise from the Fonteyn family.
Along with the praise however, came also a "suggestion" to assume the command of the day-guard, a previously mostly human and human-thrall run branch of the city.

Dutifully, she has assumed this command, and the title of Sheriff that soon started to mean something other than just a brute in a prison. While her command has been far from spotless, the now veteran lawman has been keeping the order of the capital the best she could, with her attempts at methodizing the feeding habits of her "compatriots" being more or less a success in reducing the restlessness of the host population... Of course, that is often undermined by "visiting" vampires form other settlements, and has ended up with more than once her cultivated image ruined by an arrogant bloodsucker, feeding brazenly in full view of her herd.

Loyal to the family, she sees her attempts at order as the best compromise for humanity... For without the vampiric hierarchy, her kind would predate on humans as viciously as her cousins do in the more lawless outlands. At least with the ceremony she adds, the cattle will experience a bit of calming routine, as a small mercy.

Nowdays, resides mostly in the day-guard barracks, and occasionally visits her family manor on the outskirts of the city.
Miscellaneous

Weapons:
Sheriff Cereus is often seen carrying a blackjack when on route patrol, or a shield and a longsword when there is a more serious threat suspected.

Relationships:
(lets leave it up for later)
Aleron--
Phoenix--
Duncan--
Lyra--
Kentin--
Cassiana--

Other:

Her modified sleeping schedule has left her quite out of touch with most of vampiric upper class, and most often communicates with her peers and superiors over letters instead. While the lack of anyone else being awake at her active time has left her with surprising amounts of free reign in her position, she is not as unwatched as she assumes she is. She has buried more than a few vampires that have crossed the line she had set, and someone airing her dirty secrets might cost her her station in the society.

Nobody outside her direct family recalls anymore what the S. in her name stands for, since her nickname of "Sunshine" has accompanied her ever since her adulthood.

Phoenix Fonteyn
"Solemn, silent and strong in spirit
The prince that never sleeps.."
M ● 19 ● Vampire

latest

20100823-Rings-Blog-124-copy.jpg

Overview
▌Name: Phoenix Fonteyn
▌Age: Nineteen
▌Gender: Male
▌Role: Vampire Prince

Persona
▌Phoenix loves the sense of danger, perhaps that is why he is a big risk taker. He most definitely does some stupid and reckless things all for the sake of getting an adrenaline rush. Although despite the reckless things he might do, he does take the moment to analyse the situation and think before he acts, for dying without a cause would be shameful and idiotic.
Phoenix has great manners, and he knows how to act when and where. Among most family, he is quiet and does not speak unless spoken to, for he really has nothing nice to say. By himself, he finds entertainment in small, simple objects or perhaps he just would round up some trouble makers.
He seems to worry over Lyllith alot, for all the things their parents force her into. Though, he is closest to Lyllith, he does not tend to talk openly with her, for knows that she is certainly in a worse position, and therefore he feels as though he doesn't deserve to complain.
In social situations, Phoenix can be slow at interpreting meanings behind words, or understanding jokes, explanations and other of the sort. But he tends to understand most jokes and loves having a good laugh. Though, he is not quick to trust a person or like them, it does not mean he is hostile or unwelcoming. However, if he comes to dislikes a person, insults and back talk will become common practice - directly or indirectly.
His loyalty to Lyllith knows no bounds, and for her sake, he will keep his mouth sealed about the Birds. Furthermore, he will even take blame for her, and take the fall for Lyllith, for anything.

Appearance
▌Hair Color: Chestnut Brown
▌Eye Color: Soft brown
▌Phoenix stands at a pretty average height of 168cm.
His chestnut brown hair has ruffled ends, a fringe that is almost always pushed back and a layered cut. He has a high forehead, oval-ish shaped face with a rounded jawline. He has round shaped eyes - having a soft brown color - and short eyelashes.
Though Phoenix finds comfort wearing more casual clothes most often - a white blouse, black overcoat and black pants. On the occasion of family dinners, the presence of other royalties, he will be proper and wear more formal clothing.

Bio
▌The second born child, and second prince to the Fonteyn family, Phoenix has never served any real purpose or role in the family. Though, he is not phased about this in the least, for perhaps Phoenix enjoys no pressuring responsibilities. Of course, as a Prince, he was to been given a high class education and strict discipline to shape him to be a proper Prince. He was thrown into various lessons such as harp practice, calligraphy writing and combat training - in which Phoenix excelled in calligraphy writing, and was quite bad at playing the harp, mostly due to his unwilling attitude.. As a child, Phoenix was quite stubborn, and in a way he still is. He rarely listens to orders and tends to ignore the way his parents dismiss him, as if he was significantly less important than Aleron, and less valuable than Lyllith. Though he isn't necessarily needed in the family, Phoenix is not angry or upset about such, for he is perfectly fine just being with his sister as much as he can, and helping her out.

Due to his fondness and attachment to his sister, ever since childhood, Phoenix has the tendency of following Lyllith. And still he does. As he had been wondering the castle on the night his sister had sneaked out, and out of curiosity and concern he had followed her.Though, he had certainly felt guilty for doing such, for it could be betraying his sister's trust. However, he did not stop, following her all the way to the hide out for a rebellion group. And, perhaps, out of a sense or need to protect his little sister, he had to join Lyllith on this task. As, leaving her to do such on her own, was not a brotherly thing to do. Hence this new development, Phoenix is always going to cover for Lyllith in order to keep this secret about the Birds hidden, for he knows that Lyllith does not want anything to happen to the Birds, as well as the fact that Phoenix, despite him not verbally saying, supports their cause. As, he does hope for the Fonteyn rule to be squashed, for his brother's suppressing ideals, and Phoenix's desire to be in another life than of royalty and for a more free, exciting and meaningful life.

Kentin Aron Monteacute

Age: 18

Role/Position: Scout, Spy

Appearances:
View attachment 295867

Hair Color: Dark Brown, Spiked Cut (as shown in picture)

Eye Color: Pale, almost iridescent, blue

Appearance: Kentin is tall, standing a six feet and three inches tall. He has a very athletic body type, giving him broad shoulders and a healthily filled out frame. While he's not body-builder bulky, his muscle definition is very pronounced and he's physically a lot stronger than he looks. Kentin wears his hair in a tousled, spiked style on the top of his head, though there are a few unruly strands he's never been able to stop from falling over his forehead and into his eyes. His eyes are a very pale, almost iridescent blue, making them seem almost silver in dim light. He has a five o'clock shadow spattered over his chiseled facial features, and his eyes are very deep set, which makes look older than he is.

Kentin also has a few tattoos scattered over his body, all with a different meaning, all deeply personal and important to him. On the back of his neck, he has the infinity symbol with the words Never Give In written in calligraphy below it. He has five symbolic characters tattooed down his right forearm with the word family tattooed on his wrist below them. His back is covered in a huge tattoo that looks to be just a bunch of lines with a tree and a howling wolf in the middle. And lastly, Kentin has a triskelion with the words Never Forget tattooed beneath it.

Kentin doesn't really care much about what he wears, but he spends the majority of his time in simple plain black, green, or blue t-shirts and jeans. Sometimes when the few pairs of jeans he owns have all been confiscated so they could be washed, he'll wear athletic pants or cargo pants. When it's cold, Kentin exchanges his t-shirts for long-sleeves and wears the same green coat he's been wearing since the day he joined the rebellion. When he's completely alone, Kentin will wear nothing more than a pair of comfortable pants and his necklace, which he only ever takes off to shower. This necklace, like the jacket, have been with Kentin since the day he joined the rebellion. A small pendant that looks like a worn metal raven with a large Native American feather positioned behind it is held onto his neck with nothing more than a thin, worn, brown-leather strap.

Personality

Personality:
A Protective One - From the day he learned how to walk, Kentin has always exhibited a protective nature, especially over family and friends. He's never been one to sit by and watch someone get bullied or hurt--even if they deserve it. He'd have let Lyllith die if he was. He has a deep-rooted compassion ingrained into his bones, seared into his soul as if someone had branded him with the word. He's always trying to help, to do the right thing by everyone. Sometimes, to a fault.

A Strategic One - The moment Kentin learned how to read, he showed a level of understanding unusual to someone so young. His astute skills in strategy were there from birth, but they did not truly show until Kentin was six years old when he started to exhibit and cool-headed, level-minded way of thinking through a problem or situation and finding the best way out of it.

A Sly One - Kentin was a very hard kid to raise, simply because he was terribly difficult to keep track of. He would find the hiding spots that no one would suspect, take things and stash them places no one would find them. He would do something to get in trouble, like break a glass vase or feed his vegetables to the dog, but he would always managed to slither his way out of it. He always, always knew how to get himself out of things, and how to do things completed unnoticed, how to leave no evidence behind. That's what makes him such a valuable spy.

Skills:

Espionage
Swordplay
Hand-to-Hand Combat
Martial Arts
Archery

Likes:
Horses/Horse-Back Riding
Sunrise/Sundown
Autumn
Honor/Morality/Loyalty
Quiet
Poetry

Dislikes:
Noise
Snakes
Vampires
Cowards
Liars/Betrayal

Lethal Firearms (Guns, bombs, etc.)

History

History: From the moment he arrived, very little has been known about Kentin. He rarely speaks, and when he does it is briefly. He has always refused to talk about himself or his past, or really how he even came to join the rebels at all. Because of his secretive aura, the rebels began to come to conclusions about him themselves. One thing they can all agree on is that something really bad happened to him in his life before the rebellion, something so bad he can't bring himself to speak of it. There has always been a sort of haunted shadow in his pale blue eyes.
January 3
7:46 PM
It happened in the dead of night. My family was asleep in their beds, oblivious to the horrors about to befall them. They did not sense the danger, were not warned of their approaching assailants. Maybe--just, maybe--if they had been, they would have survived. Maybe--just, maybe--I could have saved them, could have done something to stop it. But alas, I did not. The night overtook us, chasing away the sunlight until our home was shrouded in shadows and darkness. Only this time, the night had teeth.

The day started out like any other. Started the same way every day had since the first one I could remember. It was a warm day in late July, and the leaves were just beginning to fall from the trees after spending weeks changing colors, making everything was right for the coming Autumn season. The wind had a slight chill to it, as if warning us of the cold soon to come. It was my favorite time of year; the weather was just right, the air in the atmosphere crisp with the coming cold. The perfect time for raking the leaves together in a big pile and just spending hours jumping into them with my brothers, and my mother and father. My sister was yet too young to participate in our annual leaf-jumping, so Mama set her up a playpen in the yard--just like our dog, Daisy, had. Della always cried and pouted, but Mama never coddled her, and she scolded Papa whenever he dared. She said it was because she didn't want us to grow up like spoiled rats.

I suppose if I had known sooner about the true horror of the vampires atrocities, of the oppression humans had suffered with for centuries, of the insanity and insatiable lust for blood that these vicious creatures harbored, I may have prevented it. I may have saved them. But my parents hid it from us on purpose. They didn't want us to know about the dark side of the world, too afraid it would destroy our childhood, too afraid we would grow to be so fearful, so paranoid, so shaken that we would live lives of complete solitude, as if such a way of life would hide us from beings who could scent us and track us from miles away. I don't blame for not wanting us to know; they were just a mother and a father trying to protect their three sons, their innocent daughter.

I only wish it hadn't caused me to watch every member of my family die at the hands of those monsters.

I was fourteen when my family was torn away from me, when everything I had ever known disappeared from life as if my slate had been wiped clean, as if I had not existed until now and everything was new. As if my family had never existed, like my whole life was just a lie. A figment of an overactive imagination. For a couple of years after it happened, I drove myself insane trying to go on living in a world that no longer existed, in an effort to hold on to the life I had known. I wanted to believe that what had happened, what I had watched happen to the people I loved so dearly, had never really happened at all. But in the end I could not hide the truth from myself. I was forced to relive the memories that had shredded my heart and soul like wet tissue paper. I have never--will never--forget that night.
January 6
8:15 PM
There is a method to my madness, a strategy to my seemingly mindless actions. There is a reason I do not speak, a reason I will not look anyone in the eye. I do not want them to see. I do not want anyone to suffer my pain. No one--no one, no one, can know my secret. No soul can understand my pain, my loneliness. No human being on this bleak planet we call Earth, this broken place we call home, can ever pick up all the fractures shards of my lacerated soul and somehow--someway--sew them back together again, back inside me like they were before. No one can do it. I must suffer alone. I must use what is left of the person I was and the person I am now to avenge the untimely deaths of a family I still clung to so tightly.

That is why I hate the vampires as I do. That is why I must find the rebellion. I must join their ranks. These beasts do not deserve to walk freely on our Earth. They do not deserve to look down on us, call us weak and worthless. We are strong. Stronger than they could ever know. Strong enough to band together--to rise against the menace that is the vampire race and tear down everything they've built from the ground up. They think that because they are physically stronger that they can break us down, make us obedient servants who run to their beck and call. But the truly strong have the strength of mind, over the strength of body. They stand up against their oppressors, they strategize, they plan, they think--they fight.

Someone once said, "Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense". Not a day in my life has gone by where I haven't lived every moment playing those words in my head. They give me strength.

To stand.

To fight.

Never give up...

Never give in.
August 14
6:22 PM
It took me two years. Two long years of running, of fighting, of thinking. Two long years of searching to find the rebellion. Two years of repeating those words in my head, of remembering why I had to do this, why I had to stand, why I had to fight. But finally--finally I have found it.

I am a rebel now. I am no longer Kentin Monteacute, the boy who lost everything, the nameless ghost drifting on a sad, silent wind. Now, Now I am Kentin Monteacute, the man who will stand and think and fight for a cause more worthy than I could ever tell.

I am an Uncaged Bird. And I am ready to fly.

Basics

Age:
24

Role/Position:
Lieutenant/secondary leader of Uncaged Birds

Appearance

Hair Color:
Dark brown

Eye Color:
Dark green with flecks of brown in them.

Appearance:
Lyra has a lithe, fit figure meant more for quick moving and sharp reflexes and even seduce more then built on strength, but she can certainly throw a punch. She stands to be 5’8” and has got fair-tinted skin, clear and perhaps tinted a little on the tanner side, with beautiful dark green eyes that are always sharp and alert and most times even smug, along with dark brunette hair that travels down in long waves that nearly touches her waist. Lyra ALWAYS wears fit black clothing with darker makeup around her eyes, giving her green eyes a certain pop that makes her look all the more dangerous.

Personality

Personality:
She was once kind and compassionate, thoughtful and naive. But those days are long gone. Lyra is one scary woman, and everyone in the Uncaged Birds knows never to get on her bad side. She can only be described as sarcastic, rude, arrogant, and fierce. Lyra never knows when to back down, even when it’s for the best. Her fierce competitiveness has caused her often to overwork herself, and yet she knows not to overwork the others. When she isn’t working herself to the bone, Lyra can only be described as smug, arrogant and passive agresssive. Lyra will never admit she cares for others, because in her mind it’s easier not too. She’s at times arrogant, glib and smug, but she takes what she does seriously. Lyra is passionate in what the Uncaged Birds do, and always has been due to her past, which fuels her determination to be the best. If it truly comes down to the people she cared for, Lyra would kill anyone, or do anything to save or protect them. She’s distrustful of many, and in times of stress or when the people she cares for are in danger, she can act impulsively and recklessly. She can at times be passive-aggressive, and many who don’t truly know her thinks she really doesn’t care, but she cares, Lyra cares a lot. She hates just as much as she loves.

History

History:
Lyra was born into a family that consisted of two brothers, and a mother and father. Lyra was the eldest of her two siblings, when she was five years old, her mother disappeared. It was sudden and out of the blue. She was fine and then she was just...gone. It was odd, considering they lived in the middle of the woods, and she always stayed at home to care for her children, her disappearance was strange to say the least. Her mother’s name was Miranda, and her fathers was Nicholas. Nicholas became angry and hateful after Miranda was gone. Suddenly Lyra was surrounded with empty bottles of alchohol, and weapons...so many weapons. “Meant for demons.” Nicholas would mutter as he sat outside their home, an empty bottle next to him with a sword across his lap.

Lyra didn’t understand. Until the attack.

She was seventeen. Lyra awoke to a rustling sound in the kitchen before a loud crash sounded, she collected her brothers quietly from their beds in the dead of night. They crept into the hallway, Lyra in front of the two. As she peaked around the corner. She watched in horror as her father was ran through with his own sword, too clumsy to defend himself, he made it too easy for them. She hardly managed to keep from screaming. Lyra glimpsed a man with fangs grin at her dead father.

Lyra crept back through the hallway quickly and hid her brothers together under some loose floorboards she kept as a hiding spot. Lyra left her room and attempted to sneak into her father’s room for weapons. The movement was quick and sudden, she felt a strong pair of hands on her shoulder before she was slammed into the wall, her eyes met those of her fathers killer before he sunk his fangs into her neck, and everything went black.

She spent the next three years as a blood slave. She never saw her brothers again. And she never knew what became of them. The vampire that took her became infatuated with her, and Lyra learned what had to be done to survive. While he slept, she trained herself to fight. Many escape attempts left her weaker Then she faked loving him. The only way to kill him, was to become stronger than him. She couldn’t escape him. Lyra begged him to turn her, and when he did, Lyra challenged him. Feeling empires, Lyra and the vampire fought relentlessly, but in the end he could not end her. So she ended him. By then she was twenty. She had nowhere to go. All she had was a seething hatred for her new curse, and those like her. She learned how to live as the disgusting creature she was, and she trained relentlessly. Lyra can only think of herself as a weapon now, despising herself for what she is, and filled with shame for it, she went on to become a hunter. She hunted vampires relentlessly, and trained until she was almost nothing. Then she learned of the Uncaged Birds, at first she was hesitant. What if they found out what she was? But her need for revenge fueled her more, and she joined them. Now she finds herself second in command, and they finally have a chance to end this once and for all.
