"If You Had One Opportunity To Change Everything... Would You Take It?"
PROLOGUE
Aaron woke up over his bed, looking at the ceiling as he opened his eyes. The boy mumbled to himself as he forced his own body to get up and sit on the bed's side. He stretched his arms, followed by a quick move to reach the TV controller, laying over a small table near his bed, and, once he reached it, Aaron turned on the TV, on the News channel. The man called "William" appeared on the TV, sitting behind a white and large desk, talking about a murder that happened a week earlier. After some minutes, while Aaron arranged his bed, William started talking about today's weather.
As Aaron turned his eyes to the TV, he hear the man saying that it was probably going to snow after mid-day. A big smile came into the boy's face, as he jumped over his bed, ending in front of his dresser. He took the first winter clothes he saw, dressed 'em, and ran to his door, almost kicking it to get it open. Them he went down stairs, feeling the wonderful smell of his mom's pancakes. As he jumped off the last degree of the stair, he caught his cellphone laying over a table to his right. As he booted up the device, he went into the kitchen, where his mom was making the pancakes, and said:
_Hey mom.
_Hi there sweetie! - answered his mother -
_Pancakes?
_Yep! Your favorites.
_That's why I love you.
_You'r welcome!
As the woman turned and saw that his son was dressed up to go out, she asked:
_Where are you going Aaron?
_I'm going to meet up with Melanie near the park.
_Alright them, but remember, keep your eyes open for any suspicious peo-
_I know, I know - he interrupted - 'Gotta be careful with thieves, yeah, yeah.
_I'm glad you already know that.
_No problem mom - said him while going back to the house's living room - I'm taking a key, alright?
_Ok, but don't lose it!
_Yeah, whatever.
Aaron opened his door with the key, and closed it behind him, while locking it up. Immediately he got to the sidewalk, with a smile on his face while he headed towards the park, that was about 3 blocks away from his house. For a 15 years old boy, he was pretty disposed to walk this distance at 10 AM, but after all, it was to meet his girl friend. In his teenager mind, everything he could think was: "Today is going to be a good Sunday"
Unfortunately... He was wrong.
