Futuristic Two Baddies Sitting in a Tree (1x1, CLOSED)

Jumping from the rafters and not making a sound is hard. It's even harder when you are trying to keep an eye on a very fast fawn. Circa flicks her tail and turns back into a cat. It would be much easier to remain undetected this way.

She enters another room, nobody is there. The security here sucks. A trap, maybe? Alois hums to herself. That would make some sense. She takes her dagger out of her pocket and continues on with caution.

Circa mindlessly jumps around, unseen and unheard. She watches Alois with a careful eye. Watch Alois was one of her favorite activities and to much to her dismay she started referring to her as 'my beloved'. Ahh, my beloved is so fast. My beloved is more skilled with a dagger then anyone else. She really had to break her nicknaming habits.

You'd think somebody with hoofs would be horrible at sneaking around, but Alois has been doing these things her entire life. Sneaking was how she stayed alive.

So, you could imagine her surprise when turning a corner, she slams into Big Paps himself. Whoops.

"Ah, Ms. Skitois! I have been eagerly awaiting your arrival. Whatever are you doing sneaking around in my employee uniform?"

Play it off, Lois, play it off.
"I..couldn't pass up the opportunity to...test..my skills?" Nailed it.

Big Paps laughed, a deep and humorless laugh. "I see. You always were quite the wild child, weren't you?" He hums thoughtfully. "Come along, child, we have much to discuss."

Circa flattened her ears. Who does this guy think he is, talking to my Alois like he knows her? God I hate him. She jumps over to another beam and glared at him.

Alois trails after Big Paps, a slightly worried look adorning her features. "What exactly did you need from me, Papa?" Big Paps grinned darkly, putting a possessive hand on Alois's shoulder.

"All in due time, my dear. Fret not, this won't hurt you..much.." He swings open the door to a lab, the hinges squealing as they work.

Circa slinks into the room, melding with the shadows. Well that didn't sound good. She hides behind a crate and listens intently.

Alois clutches her dagger like it’s a lifeline. “I am aware that they sent you to collect the venom. I will let you take it if you can help me with a few things, a quid pro quo of sorts.”

“All I need you to do is” Big Paps looks straight to where Circa is hiding “kill her.”

Circa sits perfectly still, hoping beyond all hope that he was NOT trying to pit her verses Alois. That she was misunderstanding the words being said. If it came to a fight Circa would not, could not, harm Alois.

"That beast has been a thorn in my side for as long as I've known you." Big Paps lifts a vile up to the lights, watching the colors morph. "She is the only thing keeping you from taking you for myself." He looks down at Alois. "You are a very successful mercenary, after all."

Alois shook her head adamantly. "I can't hurt her! She's been saving my life from the shadows for months now!"

The badger grins at Alois. "But you will. If you cannot do this, not only will you fail your mission, but you will be in for a world of pain." A dozen tiny eyes light up the darkest corners of the room. Scorpians. Deathstalkers. Giant Deathstalkers.

Circa jumps on top of the crate, hissing rather panickily at the large bugs. She morphs into her human form and pulls out her pistol. "I knew I didn't like you!" She says pointedly to Big Paps. Her ears are flattened to her head. Of course, it had to be bugs. Big, venomous bugs.

"Cat-lady! What are you doing?" Alois shouts up at Circa, only now seeming to realize that she has no idea what the person that's been following her around for who knows how long's name is.

"I think that what you should be asking the crazy guy with the scorpions." Circa was on the verge of hyperventilation, eyes locked on the scorpions in the shadows. How did I not notice them? could they have killed me? How close did I get to them? She shudders at the thoughts running rampant in her head.

"Oh! Paps? Yeah...You get used to it after a while." Alois looks around the room. "Speaking of which. Where the hell did he get off to?" She groans and slices through a scorpion that came too close for liking.

"Look, I don't exactly want to kill you, but apparently my life, and career, are dependant on this, soo.."

Circa shoots at the scorpions, hitting 5 and missing her 6th. She laughs manically, "You see, that where you are wrong and he is a fool. Dearest, now he has made an enemy of great caliber. It's time to hunt." Circa reloads her pistol and hits more scorpions.

"Uh-huh." More scorpions flood into the room from God knows where. "You really 'ought to try and conserve your bullets, lady." The faun says something unintelligible under her breath as Circa shoots yet another scorpion before continuing. "What exactly is your plan? Because in case you haven't noticed, there's a pretty high chance we're both going to die." Alois stomps on a scorpion, her nose wrinkling in distaste.

"I am a world class stalker. I just need to find something with a strong smell and I can track it. Even though I rather don't like it, I can, so... You know where I can find something with that bastard's smell on it?" She wrinkled her nose and looks pointedly at Alois.

"Well..uh-" Alois glanced around awkwardly. "He was gripping my shoulder kinda hard earlier? Would-" She clears her throat. "Would that work?"

"Well..." Circa started, embarrassed. "It would work, but, you see... I..." Gods above this is weird. "I track better in cat form and... Well. I'm a lot shorter. I'd need you to..." She sighs exaggeratedly before continuing. "I'd need you to pick me up." She glares at Alois from her peripheral, daring her to laugh.

Alois just barely manages to hold in her laugh, quickly recovering from her previous embarrassment, instead a wicked grin decorated her face. “You got it, kitten!”

Circa gave an irritated flick of her ear before turning into a medium sized black cat, only the smallest blotch of color could be seen as a tan gun-shaped splotch on her stomach. She jumped into Alois's arms, gently batting her face. "No pets." she seemed to say. She sniffed Alois's shoulder and sneezed. She separated the two peoples' smells. She stares intently at a bookshelves as she stays perched on Alois.

Alois snickers at the now cat. Looking in the direction Circa is staring, Alois walks over. "Are you able to tell, like, the exact way he got out? Was it a secret door? Trapdoor?"

Circa hissed at the ever swarming scorpions before jumping down and hooking her claws onto the second lowest shelf. She push will all of the small might of a cat. She sits, flicks her ear, and gives Alois the most annoyed look ever to have crossed a cat's face.

"You do realize cats aren't the strongest of creatures, yeah?" Alois kicks aside a small gathering of scorpions with her foot. She walked over to the shelf a scooped up Circa, giving her a small boop before setting her back onto her shoulder.

Alois shoves the bookshelf aside, peering into the small door directly behind it. "Where to next?"

Circa focuses on Alois's face and connects to her mentally. "Where do you think?" She sent her words whispering through her beloveds' mind.
