Second, I know it is not quite in the rules, but since the Dynast is 'mesmerized', is it possible to be able to take him out with a surprise attack? Jump up on the back of the Hound and stab the Dragon Blooded in the back of the neck and kill him in one nasty strike?

If you were to make a successful stealth roll against both the rider and the hound, I might let you try and stunt the action to get a Decisive attack on him. But you will have a very angry hound going nuts against you in the middle of the hordes of people, and there will most likely be a lot of casualties from the ensuing panic.

Well. We certainly dont want to make the crowd hate us. Nor make the dynast hate us.Good point. So,D. Rex what is the plan to deal with this guy?
The hound hates us. But the dynast controls the hound.
Sooooo... we can have the Dynast pull back the hound.
Or.... turn it all into a show as if it was planned.
After all, the dynast can not attack easily without paying heavy WP. And even then has to play along until he can successfully interrupt the performance. Has to even make his approach closer seem a natural part of the performance so as not to disrupt it.
We can take advantage of the power of music. Do a few glorious stunts on stage, then with the dynast right in top of us, we crowd surf to safety, leaving the dynast to have to go through what could effectively be considered difficult terrain to follow us.
After which! If they still follow, and get us in a valley away from the crowd. If we still dont want to kill... play up the acting and yell at the Dynast for ruining the plan to catch the Anathema with that stunt he pulled back there. Pretend that they arent exalts and are instead trying to catch them. Fun stuff!
Or just kill him.

You aren't trying to achieve anything with your performance? Normally performance is rolled for an Inspire/Instill/Persuade/Threaten action. You've been rolling a ton of Performance rolls, did you not want to create intimacies/emotion effects/persuade anyone to do anything?

Nah, wasnt to instill anything. Nothing specific anyway. To entertain the crowd and keep their attention. With positive emotions towards Bard not something I'd turn down.
Rolling cause I figured Sherwood would prefer to have the numbers if he needs them. Can always refund my mts if he doesnt need the roll.
Also just because I like excuses to roll dice.

Instilling a love of Bard is absolutely a valid action for your performances. You can't go above minor without more 'evidence' for why they should love you a lot, but you could also Inspire an emotion, and that can be leveraged like a Major intimacy. I just don't want you to miss out on free stuff you already succeeded in rolling for.

If you first inspire an emotion then you can pull on that as a major intimacy for instill intimacy rolls afterwards too.

Will be very handy later on. I'm still getting familiar with social combat features.
Mostly was just causing a distraction. Which I have succeeded. Shame there is only one Dynast.

If he hit with two excess successes and she raises her DV by two, won't he still hit? Attacker wins a tie usually.

Can Lunar exellency raise your DV by more than two unless you have an attribute of 6 or stunt another attribute into it? Lunar exellencies are still a bit of a mystery to me.
