Queen of Dragons
Act 1; Shattered Peace
GM Story PostCrestfyre Academy; Class 27-C
Notes:
◉ The Year of the Wolverine is the year-date that marks the start of this adventure. The Calendar shall be added to the Lore topic later on to explain this, so one can grasp the passage of time.
◉ Each class seats up to 35 students.
◉ Dracmore is a card game very popular with youth, and starts by seven cards are randomly drawn from a personal deck at the start of the game - two are set to the side face down, and thosein hand are called your “party”. The gist of the game is to fight your opponent with cards, and winning no less than 2 out of 3 rounds to be the victor - however games are normally extended to at least 8 rounds, and played between two and six players.
Cards can depict all sorts of portriats, though originally have only knights, kings, paladins and cavalry. There have also been a few expansion packs that have been released, which include“Dracmore: Monsters Edition”, which released creatures and monsters from all over the worlds as playable cards in your party. “Dracmore: Astral Edition”, which includes gods and other divine beingson silver pattered cards. And, the newest deck, "Dracmore: Legendary Edition", which released a series of ancient, popular heroes from back a thousand years ago on gold patterned cards.
There are also a collection of (currently) 36 statuettes that can be brought for a loftier price, however they multiply the damage of your regular cards by x3, silver cards by x5, andgold cards by x10.

The autumn air drifted coolly through the open windows, rustling through the idle textbook pages as the collective of student returned to their seats. The steady scrape of dragging heels against the wooden floorboards, and shuffling of coats, was the only sound that could be heard, apart from a few off complaints about their 6 a.m. training schedule, resulting in the majority being left utterly exhausted from the past three hours of combat exercises and defence techniques. Behind them approached their homeroom teacher; she was a young woman in her mid to late twenties, and of Indian descent. Her rusty skin marked with prominent white tattoos that irradiated a dull iridescent glow, of which was barely noticeable in the light of the early morning.
The lessons proceeded, going from analysis, to politics, and ending with an hour of magical theory before the lunch bell rang. "I'll see you after lunch," Mrs Sahni concluded. "We will be doing field work in the city, so come back on the first bell." Field work - one of the best classes which meant the rest of the day would be spent learning while almost literally being on the job. Field work meant going to the palace, and getting to walk the marble halls of the Pscion's home, learning from the current Exhalts and making patrols through the city to observe and take notes, as well as getting the chance to participate in a scheduled mission at the end of the day. It was all mock-danger, so the possibility of getting injured wasn't likely, yet still, as an Exhalt-in-training you were never allowed out of the school grounds unless it was for field work, and the possibilities were exciting.
The bell rang, and class was dismissed to lunch; the first out of class being a gaggle of three girls, followed by two of the boys. From this point, you decide what you wish to do with your lunch break.
The first of the girls was Feya Goodson, a fiery intellectual who was extremely popular with the boys and, rumour has it, the girls as well. She was a preppy rich girl in spirit, however like everyone else here, she was detached from anyone she could call family, and so she found this group of gossiping school girls to call hers.
From magical training with her, you were able to summarize she was in possession of the powerful 4th Branch Fire Magic.
The second was Leone Massar, Freya's best friend, and infamously Aevarian. The small brunette was able to shapeshift herself into a large timberwolf at ease when she wasn't praying to her gods, of course.
Blessed by the Guardian of the Forest, Leone wields 1st Branch Nature Magic.
And lastly, Samaira Joscorvik, who was a shy girl that had an affinity towards technology. She was newly acquainted to Feya's little gang, and so rumours about her were very few - though people say she threw up during the entrance exam into Crestfyre, and they had to suspend the last trial two hours late to get the mess cleaned.
Despite her love of tech, Samaira was a 1st Branch Water Magic user.

The first of the two was Zakkari Tempest, rumoured to be a Storncaller and known as an avid Dracmore player. He is known for being overly enthusiastic and positive, with a painful "believe it!" attitude. Though he plays off to be rather dumb, he's one of the class's top-scoring students.
Zakkari is a "utter pro" at 4th Branch Electrical Magic, though he doesn't take his magic seriously enough to do a lot of damage.
Oddly enough, you couldn't quite recall the name of the boy beside him, only that he was addressed as "Mr Michaelis" by the professors. The dark haired boy was a sight, and though intriguing as he was, you often forgot he actually existed. Cambions were rare to see, and even rarer to have transfer into your classroom just before the midterm exams. Noticeably, the boy could be often found with Zakkari talking his ear off, and seemed to be the only one that tolerated the ceaseless yapping of Dracmore.
You haven't seen him perform magic yet.
