There was a world with three different types of people. There were those who lived on land, those who lived in water, and those who lived in the sky. Each were children blessed by the god they revered. The three gods were friends, and that helped their children coexist with one another.

There was the god of the sea and weather, who lived with his people in the sea. He gave them the appearance of man on land but made their skin as strong as scales. His people could swim faster than any fish in the sea, walk under the water like men walked on land, and breathe the sea water like it were air. Some who are said to be direct descendants of their god are even able to control water.

Then there is the god of the sky and sun, who gifted his people the ability to walk on clouds like it were solid ground, gave them invisible wings that allowed them to fly from the clouds to land and back, and gifted them the ability to talk to birds. He too made his people in reflection of those who lived on land. Those closest to this god could see glimpses into the future.

Finally, the last is the goddess of nature, life, and earth. She was the first to create her people, but she gave them no gifts of flight or resilient skin. The only gift she offered them was the gift of life.

Something changed between the two gods and they began to fight. Those in the sky and those in the sea would come up on land and fight each other, causing the goddess to suffer. She became so weak, that with the last of her power she sealed the other two gods away and then she too fell into a deep sleep.

The three people, left without the ones that created them, made a treaty that they would live in peace until their gods awoke once more.

And now...

Hundreds of years later, the last village to hold all three people united keeps the unsteady peace between those of the sky and those of the sea. It is called Uratochi and once a year, all the people gather to pray to their gods. Something feels different this year, and it has all of the people on edge. With everyone in one place, will they be able to hold the peace?

And what is this feeling that makes them... long for something more?

POSITIONS

Your characters are attendees for the festival, one of the many faces. The RP is ongoing, so you will be jumping into the middle of the festival, but your true part will come into play soon. We're recruiting for the following tribes:

Tochiko are the peacemakers of the three tribes, sandwiched between the conflict of the Umiko and Sorako. They're a strong people with a history of their goddess who sacrificed her life for their sake. Though the other tribes may fight, the Tochiko use their voice and will to quell the violence.

0/1

Umiko are the people of the sea, who value wisdom most. Their knowledge knows no bounds, for they are always learning new things. Relationships with the Sorako have gotten worse and worse over the years. They believe that the god of the sky must have betrayed the god of the sea in some way, and seeks the knowledge that will tell them the truth.

1/1

Sorako are the people of the sky, who hold honor in the highest esteem. Their honor rank is based upon how fast and strong they can fly, with those who can see into the future at the top. They are convinced that the god of the sea dishonored the god of the sky, and regard those of Umiko as scum.

RULES

  • When you create your character, use of IRL images is prohibited. Anime is encouraged, drawn/digital art is accepted.
  • All participants must have good grammar (know the difference between their they're & there; your & you're, etc) and be able to post a minimum of 2 paragraphs (or equivalent of 16 sentences min.). However, if you develop a habit of only making the bare minimum, you may be dropped.
  • Treat your fellow RPers with respect. Know the difference between character actions and OOC actions. Petty arguments between OOCers will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Issues between players can be reported privately to me, but those who choose to take their fights publicly, will chance both of you being removed.

I'm interested in creating a Sorako character.  :3  Also, I see your little formatting cheat there, hehehe.  Pretty creative.

I shall be the first Tochiko representative, should I of course be accepted that is.

@Fyuri 500 posts is just evil >.>

... I like formatting things....

@Orikanyo & Fyuri, your spots have been reserved!

Just need 3 more, one for each and I'll get the HP started.

500 will come easy, atleast you have the ability to make hosted projects, it feels strange roleplaying without one these days.

once I got used to the new set up, it really was rather nicely categorized and easy to do~!

Here is a secret to getting 500.  Gallery images count towards that content.  Though I think the gallery upload is borked right now.

oh, this sounds like a good time! if it's alright, i'd like to reserve a spot for an umiko representative.

Man, and here I was worried Sorako would be the first to be filled.  Silly me.

Guess we don't have many bird lover around.

All flew south for the winter.

We shall show them the ways of peace.

By force!
