Traveling with a Dragon [Inactive]

This Confinement, It was...Cramped. All The little dragon could see was...well, he couldn't see anything, he'd never seen light anyway...infact he'd never seen anything. But, he did know that this enclosure was much to small for him. He rubbed against the holding cell he was in, attempting, with what small amount energy he even had, to break free.

Rhena looked down at the egg resting next to her on her bed. She had almost fallen asleep after another day watching it during breaks in her work, wondering when it would hatch. She didn't even know what was inside of it, though. Sighing she pulled the blanket over her and the egg, keeping it warm the only way she knew how.

He wished, how he wished he could see. Was this all life was? Darkness? Seems like a pointless ordeal...And he refused to let this be all it was. He would fight it, do anything he can to find some way out. He struggled, squirmed, shaked. Nothing worked at all. He smashed his head against it, using all the strength he could. And the response from all his effort?

A crack.

Rhena felt the egg crack practically to her bones. She protectively pushed the egg between her and the wall, not knowing what the sound was that had barely woken her up. After a few seconds she stopped listening and once again fell asleep.

It seemed that he was getting somewhere! His efforts had gotten him somewhere, and if he continued, He would find the true meaning of what it meant to be alive! He continued to fight against these walls, shaking and headbutting the walls. He heard another crack, this time louder, and then another, and another! He was winning the battle!

The girl turned, slowly waking up. She looked around for the sound, hearing cracking and worrying it was someone in her house. If there was she couldn't stop them, only she lived here now. No one would come to find her body for weeks on end.

There it was! A small sliver of light! He felt a new emotion: joy, and then another emotion: excitement, It was such a great feeling, and it made him want to...move! He shaked and spasmed more and more, and the light grew more and more, soon there was a gaping hole, revealing more light, but not bright light...more of a...dark light.

Rhena returned from her room, falling onto her bed after checking the small house for intruders. Her room was in the attic that was half the size of the house, so it wasn't easily found. When she looked at the egg that was resting peacefully below the open window she gasped. Finally, it was hatching.

He was...fueled by the new light, and he continued his efforts, until there was an actual gaping hole in the shelter. Testing out his first few movements, he felt so free, being able to move, he heard multiple snaps come from...him? He decided not to mind the noise and go adventure. He scaled the egg and fell onto a soft surface, he made a small squeal for his first noise, and struggled to restable himself.

She almost fell over, she scrambled away from it so fast. These were the things the elders past down so many horrible stories about; the . . . The . . . Dragons! That's what they're called. She pushed herself against the far wall. But wasn't this one a little small to be the center of those blood soaked tales?

I looked around, my eyes still adjusting to what was around me, the surface I was on was very, very soft. I looked around and saw...a thing...It was huddled against the corner, it's expression...well unreadable as he's never seen a expression like that. He regained his footing and began walking towards the frightened creature.

The girl watched as the dragon looked around. Any minute now it was going to start breathing fire and eating livestock alive, if the stories were true. It started moving toward her, and she covered her head with her arms waiting for the fiery death that was to come.

He continued to walk towards the creature, his curiosity driving him to near limits. I was very close to the creature, who was shaking and quivering for some reason. He made a loud noise, or atleast as loud as he could, to get it's attention. He hoped around and tilted his his head.

She was alive. Shouldn't she be dead if this was the fearsome creature of the stories? She looked up at the sound to see it prancing around. This was the nightmare creature that destroys villages at a time? She relaxed a little, leaning against the wall and let her head up to watch the little dragon.

Now that he had the things attention, He could say what he wanted to say, or...more like squeak what he wanted to say. He looked at the thing with curiosity visible in his eyes, but The one thing he actually wanted, more like needed, was food.

She jumped as the thing squealed at her. What did it want now? She had decided it wouldn't kill her like in the stories. At least not immediately. She glanced at the shell fragments still on her bed. Was this a baby? Nothing she knew hatched as an adult, so why should a monster? And if she knew babies there was only two things it wanted. Since it wasn't sleeping that narrowed it down. She slowly got up, still a little scared of the scaly creature, and headed down the steps to her small kitchen.

I looked at the creature as it got up...and left him. This isn't good! How was he going to get food now? He jumped and squealed and whined, trying to get the thing to come back, but it was already gone. That meaned he would have to get food by himself. He walked to the edge of the soft platform, and slowly leapt off. He hit the ground with a thud, took a moment to recuperate, and then continued to walk. He was following the thing to try and get it's attention again! He needed food!

She was warming up milk when she heard the thud. Did it break something? Not that she had much that could brake, but still. She tried to hurry, splashing milk in a bowl and hurting upstairs. She saw it on the floor and neared it to put down the bowl before quickly moving away.

The thing came back with something in it's strange clawless hands. It placed the object in front of me and quickly moved away. It seemed to be that it was avoiding him, why was that?He decided to ponder the question...after he found out what the object was. He walked over to the object, to find out that it was holding a liquid, so it was a container! The life outside his cell was so...mysterious! He had so many questions, one of which was: What was in the container? He looked inside the container to get a taste of the liquid, and once he did, he couldn't stop, it was delicious!

Rhena sighed a breath of relief when the dragon started to drink. What was she going to do with it now? She wondered. She dropped her head on her knees and sighed. Why did she have to pick up that egg?

(Only writing in first person till I get a name XP

I would've continued drinking...But I needed to breathe, and surely that was enough food for now. I decided to experiment with the creature, it was fairly bigger then me, But curiosity over rides fear, so I walked to the creature, flared my wings, jumped around, being noticeable, to see what It's reaction would be.

Rhena gave squeak/yelps each time the dragon jumped at her. But after a while she calmed down, and even started smiling. The dragon was obviously a baby; no grown dragon would act like this based on the stories. Maybe this dragon wasn't evil?

(DAMN HUMANS AND THEIR DRAGON STEREOTYPING.)

After a while of continued jumping a yapping, I became More and more tired, and darkness started falling in around me. I become more calm and docile, and folded my wings around myself. My breathing was steady, and soon after I fell asleep.

(Either we can time skip after your next post, or, we can have another day in which I'm still young, and then timeskip after that, your choice.)
