Finn awoke as he lightly swung side to side in a hammock strung up inside the cramped hull of a small ship. He reached out for a wooden post hoping to steady himself, but his grasping hand missed the post and took hold of only air. This inevitably threw him off balance as the ship rocked to one side, as it rocked back again he flipped from the hammock onto the floor. He let out a painful grunt as he hit the hard wooden floor. A man resting in a hammock just above Finn's heard the grunt and thump and looked over to see Finn picking himself up,

"Having trouble there land legs?" The man, a seasoned sea fairer, asked. Finn scowled as he stood up, the man had taken to calling him land legs after his first several falls, trips and tumbles; needless to say, this was not the first time Finn had lost his balance aboard the ship while at sea. To be fair though, this was Finn's first time at sea, but that made no difference to the seasoned sea fairer and so he used that name exclusively when referring to Finn, luckily, for Finn, the name did not stick with the rest of the crew, just with this one man.

"No, I just thought it'd be the quickest way to get down," Finn responded to the man with a smile, a smile that quickly faded as he rubbed his now bruised elbow. The man huffed as he turned away and curled back into his hammock, in no way a fan of Finn's jokes, or Finn in general for that matter. Finn only laughed slightly at the other mans distaste for him.

Curious how far from their destination they might now be, after rubbing a few bruised and sore body parts, Finn headed up top. When he came out on deck his hair and shirt collar began blowing in the cold wind. He pinched his collar shut with his hand to keep the cold off his chest as he walked toward the bow of the ship. The sun had not yet risen though it was obviously lighter out than it had been late in the evening - Finn guessed the sun rise to be only an hour or so away. He looked out from the bow of the ship at the horizon, in the distance the silhouette of a town could be seen rising above the long reaching shores of the land; Finn felt a mix of emotions.

He was happy to at last, after many long weeks at sea, be so near land, and he was anxious for the new life he would be starting. There was, however, a hint of sadness for the life he left behind, for his home that was no more, and even a little bit of fear; it was the fear of change, the fear of uncertainty. Finn looked on with these many emotions, the town growing ever clearer as they neared it, the ship pushed on by a steady wind, a new life waiting just beyond.

It had been at least a week or so of a travel on horseback for Greer, she had lost count of the time that had gone by; only stopping here and there for her fellow steed to rest. She knew she was close to a town, the last couple of days she had been travelling through a thick forest. So for the past night she traveled without stop and was quite tired, as was her horse. There was no real destination for her; she'd travel until she found a place she would like to have a fresh start in or she couldn't anymore. She would know until she got there. With only a sheathed sword, the clothes and armor on her back, and a pouch of gold on her person, as well as the animal she rode on, it seemed she left without planning this whole trip out, and to add had left quite abruptly.

"Whoa, boy." She slowed the black horse to a stop on the cliff she was on that overlooked the sea. Throwing one of her legs around the side of the horse and opping off, she surveyed the new area that surrounded her. A vast green land that sat beside the sea, with a town a few more miles inward. Her eyes squinted to see the silhouette of a ship that she could barely see for the sunrise hadn't happened yet, but it was still light enough to see her surroundings.

Looking once more to the town and for some reason saw potential in, enough for her to thrive in, she decided then and there that this town was going to be her new home, for lack of a better word for the place she would now reside in. She turned to her horse and tore off the coat that was decorated with the colors burgundy and gold with a royal crest on it, blood splattered apparent on the lighter parts of the coat. The stained fabric, the horse wore for jousting and such, was thrown off the cliff, carried away with the wind over the ocean.

Greer mounted the horse and turned the horse away from the edge of the cliff, clicking her tongue and kicking the sides of the horse. The horse gave a neigh and took off in a gallop, heading down the cliff. The only thing Greer hoped for was that there was an inn or tavern of some sort in the town so that she could rest, perhaps take a bath to refresh herself, since being noticed was one thing she needn't worry for since she is very far off from the place she comes. Or so she liked to think.

It had been a long journey but finally Ricros was approaching the large town on his horse. It was mid morning and the gates were wide open. With a few guardsmen at their post, they eyed him and his weapon cautiously but did not stop him from entering the town.

He knew the best place to find gossip or jobs in any town was the inn so he asked a girl carrying a basket for directions, thanked her and headed of down the street towards where the girl had directed.

Finding the Inn easily enough he got down of his horse and called the stable-boy to take his horse. After giving the boy a copper coin and handing him the mare's reins, he headed inside. Looking around the large room, he spotted the innkeeper. A rather chubby fellow who had a spotless white apron, he was stood behind the bar wiping what appeared to be an already spotless counter.

Ricros went and sat down at a table in the far corner where he could observe the whole room and the entrance. He called the tavern wench over and ordered a drink (Ale) and “I will need a room for the night” The woman went and talked to the innkeeper and he approached and politely asked for payment in advance, clearly not wanting to cause any offence. “Not very trusting eh?” Ricros asked with a smile. He paid the man and asked for food to be brought.

No doubt Ricros would hear of some gossip or job before the night was out Inns always brought opportunity.

Ah, the fine lush lands of thick forests and nature. A beautiful thing it was, but being around such things for most of his life dulled Thrain's appreciation for natural beauty.

His journey had gone off without a hitch, he had paid the friendly old man an incredibly generous sum of money for his trip here, and in turn the man made his journey as relaxed as possible. The carriage itself was clean and well wiped, the food supply was enough to last several weeks and the water fresh, they only needed to stop to answer natures call. Surprisingly enough, Thrain had learnt a great deal of knowledge from the old man, and appreciated the company. On the second night of riding they began singing songs with one another, drinking, and laughing to their hearts content. It was actually a huge amount of fun, several times the noise had drawn bandits over. The majority ran the moment Thrain exited the carriage, those who remained ran at the sight of his weaponry. He was grateful no blood had to be spilled.

But, alas, nothing good lasts forever, and the second week of riding became dull, and boring. The two men had exhausted nearly all topics of conversation, ranging from religions all the way to weapons-at one point they even argued about horses. Luckily though, the nearby town was now in sight, he was only an hour or so away from his supposed 'fresh start' where he could forget about the past, and look to the future. Hopefully, he could go at least a week without being forced to take a life.

After entering the town gates, the guards who initially looked as though they were going to question the old man immediately moved aside, as Thrain stepped upon the stony ground. He mentally thanked his parents for making him so tall, it made getting his own way incredibly easy. He walked right by them, looming imposingly above everyone within sight. Before he went to hunt for some form of rest, he turned to the man who had kindly brought him here. And handed him an extra bag of coins for his troubles.

"Take care of yourself old man. I won't be here to protect you no more." He said, giving the man a respectable nod. The man, tipped his hat in kind, before giving his departing words. "Aye, I will, I wish you the best of luck my giant friend!" And with final waves, the two parted ways. Leaving Thrain to his own devices, in this new town.

Cyrus sat at a table at the far end of the inn drinking a pint of ale he enjoyed being away from all the comotion of other people. He sees Ricros enter the inn but pays no mind to him. he was too preoccupied with his own thoughts, it had been 3 years since he had left his home "I wonder what my old tutors are doing these days."

he recalls how he came to this inn, to this town. some days prior he was lost in the woods with little food or water left, he had been traveling for days trying to get to where he is now. sitting next to a fire he had lit for warmth, he felt he was safe next to the falmes. for a while he was, but the smell of the flames attracted an unwanted visitor, a bear had appeared from the brush, visibly hungry, cyrus was in no condition to be fighting a bear. Fearing for his life he ran away not caring what direction he went.

After what seemed like hours of running he finally came across a road, gasping for breath he was releaved that he was somewhere not in the woods. the bear was long gone he had out run it in the woods, the bear was probably stopped by the dense trees. after resting cyrus followed the road westward, eventually comming upon the town he's in now. he rented a room at the inn and re-stocked his food and water.

Looking back at his adventure he wonders if he could have taken the bear and killed it, the thought left his mind as he finished his ale.

Once Greer was close enough to the gates of the town, she pulled on the reigns of her horse and dismounted it. It was probably best to enter the town humbly instead of striding gallantly in or by some other pompous way. Plus, she didn't know how the guards at their stations would react to her, if they took kindly to wanderers clad in armor. She walked up the dirt road, leading her horse behind her.

However, the guards did not stop Greer and she continued on her way through the gates. Her nose scrunched up when she caught sight of a guard eyeing her in a provocative manner. Her body was fit and one could think her as attractive since beauty was indeed in the eye of the beholder. It took her some self control not to act on impulse by not going back and give him a shiner or two. All she could do was shake her head and sigh as she made her way to first find a horse stable, mentally telling herself that there is no place in the world she could go to avoid such looks.

The town looked like any normal town she had been to. There was your local street markets and bustling town-life, nothing out of the ordinary to say. Except for a man that had to be over 7 feet tall. Greer's eyes widened a bit as she looked at the giant man as she walked past him. She had never seen someone so tall and her mind automatically thought if he was human. If this was the norm in other towns or kingdoms, she wouldn't have known since she never really did leave the region she came from.

Perfect. She thought as she came across a horse stable that was conveniently next to an inn. Just what I needed. I hope this luck wears on a little longer. Leading the horse into the stable, the stable owner told her the price per week that she kept the horse in. At this rate, I'm definitely going to need to look for work as soon as possible. With needed payments of keeping the horse at the stable, board at the inn, food and drink, and the like, she needed to get a job as soon as possible if she wanted to stay. Especially if she wanted her own place because staying at an inn for an overextended amount of time was not going to cut it.

Greer paid the stable man before walking out and heading next door to the inn. She opened the door and headed inside, her first stop being to the innkeeper to explain her situation. In return, she got that if she didn't pay the weekly amount, he would kick her out without hesitation. The only thing she could think was that he was nice enough to settle for a weekly payment. Knowing it was probably too much to ask for, she asked if he could get one of the inn workers to run her a bath before she thanked the innkeeper for his business and went to sit at the bar to get a drink as she waited for her bath to be drawn.

Thrain spent some time simply examining the many different wares and items the merchants were selling, it wasn't like he'd need to buy practical equipment, but food was certainly required, and his size made hunting a joke, anything could hear him trying to 'sneak'. So Thrain had settled with purchasing bread, cheese and other basic foods for a healthy and sustaining meal, although he currently held a small fortune he knew that it wouldn't last a week, that much was obvious by the increased prices here. Hopefully, by that logic, the pay was more as well.

Examining his surroundings he caught sight of a guard staring lustfully at a woman, and he also stared at the woman as she passed him. But not lustfully, he studied her. He had spent enough time working as a sellsword to distinguish the untrained snots holding swords from the dangerous killers. She was most certainly the second option, she carried herself with a certain pride. As if she knew she could best anyone who so much as looked at her wrong. And judging by the dexterous armor, he guessed she could run circles around him. Most would peg her as a thief because of her sly, light armored appearance. But she looked more like a warrior, who simply utilized speed over strength. Both had their strengths and weaknesses.

Noticing she had headed to the stable, Thrain's eyes caught sight of the inn, directly next to her destination. With a new destination, he walked towards the inn, a warriors best friend waited with in. Rum. Although he decided to allow his stomach a few more minutes without any alcoholic substance, and upon entering the inn he mentally chuckled at how the inn keeper turned deathly silent, staring at him like he was some three headed hydra-come to take his home and kill his family. Paying no attention to the staring man, he got a table in one of the corners, relaxing. The inn keeper soon stopped staring, and any previous fear was replaced with a poker face as the woman from earlier entered the tavern. He wouldn't lie though, he missed the old taverns of his home city, they were always bustling with life, filled with cheerful songs and drunken brawls. Yet this one seemed so... Deathly-for lack of a better word.

cyrus watched as more people flooded the Inn first a large man who was more like a bear then a man, he thought that maybe he halucinated the bear and it was actually this man who attempted to eat him, staying away from him thought cyrus. Another came in, a woman this time, he stared at her for a moment admiring how attractive she was, she shook his head and went back to his own thoughts, the Inn was getting more crowded, something cyrus did not like, even if he was all the way at the back.

cyrus called tothe tavern wench "another pint of ale, please" the woman smiled and came over with a pint "here you are" it was obvious by the look she gave him that she did not get good manners often, cyrus was familiar with them because that is how he was raised. the tavern wench returned to her work and cyrus went back to drinking his ale, he watched on as the new commers continued comming in.

Kayle heard the inn beginning to rise and murmur. She lay in her bed, staring at the wooden ceiling, and felt her tired body complain as she simply did nothing. She could hear one or two people conversing with the innkeeper about buying a room, and decided she'd best rise then, before the town got too active.

Swinging her legs off the side of the bed, Kayle sat, brushed her hair back and tied it, and rose from her bed. Moving around was easy as she bore no possessions other than her clothes and short sword, of which she picked up and held consciously as low as she could as she exited her rented room. The innkeeper knew of her lack of a sheath; she only hoped the current inhabitants of the inn wouldn't react harshly to a sword in hand. Kayle made sure it was held with a relaxed wrist.

There were already a few rustling around the hearth. She noted a small yet capable looking girl, and a giant of a man clad in armour, as well as a few nestled in the back, not looking as relaxed as one might be at such an early hour in a warm inn. Kayle looked out a window, and could see the hints of the sun on the horizon. She would leave in a few days. Never too long in one place.

For now, though, Kayle approached the wench quietly and asked in a low, private voice if she could be brought some food.

A slight breeze washed over the forest, causing leaves to silently fall from the canopy above and for the shadows to dance along the forest floor. Disrupting the peaceful silence, was a pair on horseback, seemingly heading in no real direction. Leandra and her twin brother, Manjano, were both fleeing their pasts, hoping to find new lives in a new land and town. Leandra was riding a pinto mare, while Manjano was riding a black stallion. The two said nothing to the other, as their horses trotted through the forest and soon reached the edge of it. Slowing their horses to a walk as they exited the forest line, the twins blinking in the bright sunlight, as their eyes adjusted to the brighter lighting.

Once their eyes adjusted, the twins noted a town in the distance, which would hopefully be where the pair could finally start again. Not that Manjano cared for such matters considering the flow of income he'd been making in their old town, but Leandra had decided that enough was enough, and not even Manjano could change his sister's mind when she decided on something. At least the pair had enough gold to last them a few months at the very least. After that, they'd definitely need to find some kind of line of work to keep them going. One that Leandra insisted would have nothing to do with threatening other people's lives, though that was most of the fun in itself to Manjano.

(If you don't want to read all of this, which would be sad, but understandable, scroll down to the next chunk of red and read from there on to get the information you need for some opportunities I laid out for any takers)

The ship Finn traveled upon finally came into port. The town, the same one that he had previously seen as a mere silhouette in the distance, was much more impressive than he had originally imagined it to be. To most the town would likely be average at best, but to Finn - whom had never seen anything more grand than the small quaint towns of his home land - it looked absolutely remarkable. As the ship docked Finn stood upon the railings of the ship, a joyful grin plastered to his strong young face. The crew ran about the ship with a certain chaotic precision, tying ropes off, jumping back and forth between ship and dock, and yelling out commands that Finn could decipher no better than if they had been yelled in a different language.

As the chaos of the crew aboard the ship continued, Finn made his way bellow deck for one last time. It was dark, dingy, and surprisingly humid given the comfortable temperature outside, as it always was; 'If I never see the belly of a ship again it will be far too soon,' he thought looking around. At the base of one of the posts his hammock was tied to sat a rather small brown leather pack, a short bow, and a quiver full of arrows. This was all he had, all he brought from home. Within the brown leather pack Finn had some Ki bread (a type of hard bread from his homeland made specifically for long trips), a hunting knife, a gold pouch (currently empty), and a silver necklace with a locket. He reached in and pulled the necklace out, hanging it around his neck; the locket he held in his hand for a moment, clutching it tightly. A deep breath escaped him and he released the locket letting it fall and hang against his chest, hidden from view behind his shirt and armor.

Finn climbed out from the hull of the ship and back unto the deck, there he unstrung his bow and fastened it to horizontally atop his pack, pulled the pack onto his back where it rested next to his quiver. As he left the ship he stopped to thank the captain.

"Don't mention it," the Captain, a large bearded fellow, said. "It was only right," his eyes looking past Finn back in the direction that they had come from.

"Well, thanks just the same," Finn said shaking the captains hand with a genuinely thankful smile. The captain smiled and gave him a respectful parting nod as he walked to the lowered plank that connected the ship to the dock. Finn walked down and left the ship.

Finn walked down the docks and, with some pointing in the right direction by a helpful local, found his way into town. quite a few towns people were out and about, and many merchants selling various goods of all sorts; the town was filled with a cacophony of talking and yelling that made up a sort of background noise. Finn walked for a while before he came to the town inn, "Workers Well" was the name on the wooden banner that hung above the door. He wondered what sort of crowd might hang about inside, but with no money thought it best to stay outside. Whilst he stood in front of the inn looking about the town an older man walking with with a stack of papers lost his focus, after being nearly run down by a few children playing, and abruptly crashed into Finn. The two both fell to the ground and the papers flew in a flurry every which way.

"Sorry lad," the older man said to Finn helping him up. Finn was laughing, finding the situation rather comical.

"Don't worry about it, no harm done," he responded patting some dirt from his clothes. "Here, let me help you," he added, seeing the man hurry to gather his papers. Finn gathered up quite a stack and went to give them to the older man, casually looking at one while he did so. "You know what, I could probably help you with this," the man looked at him a bit confused for a moment, Finn held the paper up in his hand to show what he was referring to.

"Oh!" The man chuckled, his laugh a peculiar one. "These aren't mine, I just post them up in the inn," he said, clarifying.

"Oh..." Finn's mouth curving to the side in disappointment. The older man looked at Finn with a scowl suggesting deep thought as the papers were returned to him.

"In need of some work eh?"

"I am," Finn nodded. "You could say I'm a bit short on gold at the moment," he added laughing. The old man's scowl broke and was replaced with a empathetic smile, his thoughts coming to a conclusion of some kind. Finn's genuinely happy disposition likely having some effect on the older man and his thoughts.

"I'll tell you what, you take these papers in that inn there and stick them up on the back wall where everyone can see I'll give you five silver pieces."

"Really, you'd do that for me?" Finn asked in mild excitement. The old man handed Finn the stack of papers and reached into his pocket.

"You seem like a nice enough young lad," he said placing five silver coins on top of the papers Finn held. Finn grinned a vigorously wide grin and turned to the inn. He took a few steps and turned back,

"Thank you, you are a nice old man!" He said loudly with a laugh turning back around and heading into the inn. The old man smiled and relished in the compliment for a moment, but then realized the joke within.

"Hey, I'm..." but Finn was already gone. the old - excuse me, older - man turned and started off back in the direction he came, mumbling under his breath such things as, "I'm not that old'" and "That little..."

(Right Here)

It was dark inside the inn, even with a few windows open to let some of the morning light through. Finn didn't mind, but he did think that it would have looked more cozy if it had been better lit. As he walked towards the back wall he glanced around eager to see the sort that filled the room. There was a quite a mix of people, some small - very small - and some big - giant in fact - which he found both refreshing, yet odd. Once at the wall he began posting up the various papers, all of which turned out to be flyers and adds for work, he posted them up with a hammer and nails that were sitting on a table by the wall. There were many job adds and many requests for help, at least fifty it seemed; once all of the which were posted Finn stepped back and read a few.

Some of which read as such:

The twins entered the town edges, the hooves of their horses striking the stone of the road and resonating along the streets. Sighting an inn nearby, Manjano pulled on the reins of his horse to bring it to a halt. His horse snorted at this action, signalling to Leandra that something had caught Manjano's sight. Saying a quiet, "Woah, girl, woah," Leandra brought her mare to a halt at Manjano's side. Glancing over at him, Leandra followed Manjano's gaze to the inn nearby. Thinking it over, Leandra decided that a stop by the inn could be in their favor. Perhaps they could find a job to take, or get a drink at the very least.

Taking the lead, Leandra brought her mare to a walk with Manjano bringing his stallion to a matching pace behind her. Leandra soon brought the pair to the stablehand by the inn and she halted before gracefully dismounting her mare and handing over the reins along with a piece of gold to cover her horse for the night. She could always pay more in the morning if they intended on staying here longer. Manjano followed his sister's suit in bringing his stallion to a halt and then nimbly dismounting before handing over the reins and a piece of gold as well. Both of the twins always kept all of their gear on themselves in case they were attacked while on horseback so that they could make a quick escape and hopefully keep their horses alive while doing so.

Leaving the stablehand to take care of their horses, the pair of twins headed inside of the inn, pausing upon entering to take in the scene. There was a wide variety of people here, some looking like locals, others like travelers, and a few that looked exceptionally dangerous. Not feeling intimidated in the slightest, the twins went straight to the bar and ordered a drink each. While waiting, Leandra noted some ads posted on a wall nearby. Leaving her brother's side for the moment, Leandra approached the ads and skimmed over a few before her gaze stopped on the bounty ad. Manjano silently watched her walk away, content that in the darker lighting of the inn and with his hood and partial mask still on, most people would have a hard time identifying him or knowing where he was looking. Smirking slightly at how easy a bounty job would be, Leandra tore the ad off the wall and then rejoined her brother's side before showing him the ad while he sipped his drink. Leandra then took a swig of her drink and leaned on the bar before shifting her gaze back over the inn's inhabitants.

Greer was nursing a pint of ale for rum was a bit too strong on an empty stomach and she didn't need to be stumbling all over the place. As she sipped on her ale, she briefly looked around from her seat at the bar. Of course all the faces of these people here would be unfamiliar to her. Other than the very tall man that she past outside earlier, there was another man who seemed very familiar to her. She could have sworn that that was the same man that was being chased by a bear in the dense woods, but she shook her head as she returned to her ale. It could be the same person and it couldn't be.

Her head turned in the other direction to see a woman that was taller than her and had short hair pulled up in a ponytail. Greer noticed her lack of sheath for her sword and just this made her tense, yet amazed her a bit. Where Greer came from, it was rare for a woman to fight, let alone know how to use a weapon. It was nice to see a gender of the female persuasion know how to carry and protect their own self. As long as she doesn't go poking around with that thing... She thought as she downed the rest of her ale, letting out a breath as she felt the alcohol sinking into her muscles and relaxing them. All she needed now was a bath, a nap, and some food when she woke up.

Placing her empty pint down and pushing it toward the bartender, she paid the man before she got up to head upstairs to her room. On her way to her room, she saw a man nailing papers to a wall that seemingly held job description. She stopped briefly to see one adventurous job left and a normal one was posted before she resumed to go upstairs. She would have to ponder it over while she bathed to see which one she would take.

Ricros took note of the giant who entered the inn shortly after he had. “That's a fight I wouldn't like to have any time soon” He thought to himself. There were various other strangers who looked dangerous enough in the inn now. He saw two beauty's and liked what he saw but thought better of it “Women were always to much hard work and trouble for that matter”. Then an arrogant looking pair entered and ordered drinks at bar but Ricros didn't pay them much attention, he was focused on his delicious stew.

Munching down the remainder of his meal and taking a final swig of his ale he decided it was time to go and see what this town had to offer.

After getting directions from the innkeeper and scanning the notice board (noting a few of the jobs), Ricros left the Workers Well and headed of in the direction of the market. His purse full of gold tied at his belt. His needed information on the town, strangers always loved to talk when they knew you had some gold.

After scanning the market stalls looking for nothing in particular. Out of nowhere he felt it brush his side very lightly and grab.. He flashed down with his left hand and grabbed the strangers very thin wrist, he pulled and shifted his balance slightly knocking this would be thief to the ground. It was a teenage boy, he look terrified and so he should. Ricros slapped him full in the face and the boy started crying begging for his life. “Try and steal from me again and I will take your hand, you little shit” pulling him to his feet, he got a swift kick up the arse and away he sprinted at full pelt.

Ricros had drawn to much attention to himself he decided it was time to return to the inn before the guard was called. He swiftly made his way back. He needed a bath anyway he had been on the road to long and was grouchy.

Thrain finally decided his body deserved a drink, a lot of it. He wouldn't be satisfied until walking was a chore. Calling the woman for a drink she happily obliged, or at least appeared to. The frantic rush to get him a drink was probably out of fear. Unfortunately. As the woman brought his alcoholic friend towards him he noticed a charismatic looking man who was carrying a pile of papers, the purpose became clear as each one was placed on the bounty board. Moments after, another woman entered room from the stairs, he scowled at her appearance-she looked like a thief, or a bandit. He then tensed up further at the sword she carried in her hand. His eyes remained on her for a moment, half expecting her to make an attempt on someones life.

However his concentration was broken when another two people entered the tavern, a man and a woman. Thrain received an immediate sense of distrust at the two, he didn't know why, but he just didn't like their 'aura'. Yet if that wasn't bad enough another man trailed into the now busy inn, he also looked like a mercenary, he also stared at the two woman in a similar fashion to the guard from earlier. He didn't like these people, each and every one of them gave off danger signs... Except for the charismatic man who brought in the papers.

Not enjoying the new company, Thrain downed his rum, and ordered another immediately after. Hoping to drink enough so they would just disappear from his vision. He certainly wasn't going to leave the oh-so-lovely supply of beer the inn possessed.

Jax was tired of walking. Walking was all she had been doing for the past week. She had started out happy and excited for a new life away from all the questioning eyes from behind mask, to worn out and frustrated. She had expected to have found a town days ago, but she had no such luck.

Jax had stumbled upon a forest path the day before and decided to follow it in hopes that a town would welcome her at the end. A low hanging branch got caught in her mask, and she she gasped in surprise as the mask was pulled from her face. She started panicking, not because anything was wrong with her face, but because she had never taken it off since her mother gave it to her. When Jax was ten, her mother had suddenly come home with a sort of joke. Her mother had told Jax that she had bought her a mask, since the only expression Jax ever had was one of no feeling. Jax had been more than happy to take the mask, and swore that she would never take it off. It was all just a joke, but now, while travelling, it was the only thing she had that reminded her of her mother.

With the mask pulled back over her face, Jax continued down the path. Just when she thought this path led nowhere, there was a break in the trees. With renewed vigor, Jax bounded forward, seeing the beginnings of what seemed to be a humungous town. Quickly making her way down the path, the gates quickly approached, until finally she stepped through them, into a new life.

Feeling very excited, Jax made her way past the numerous buildings, perplexed at the amount of people. When she passed an inn, she told herself to go back there, but first she would see what this town had to offer. Jax made her way toward what she thought looked like a market and bumped into a boy who seemed to be running for his life and apologized as continued to run. I wonder what was wrong with him she thought, quickly forgetting about it and continuing on through the market.

Finn looked over the ad he had kept from the wall. It was a request by one of the market merchants for fresh venison, the merchant was willing to pay quite well for the meat, 100 gold for each skinned and gutted carcass in fact. For Finn, an avid hunter, this was a perfect chance to make some gold, however, the merchant wanted five carcasses, no more no less. Finn knew he could carry two by himself, but five, that would take at least two people, or preferably a horse. A horse was out of the question, it would cost gold, gold he did not have..

It was then, while thinking of his lack of funds, that Finn remembered the five silver payed to him for posting up the ads. He grinned at the remembrance of his new found wealth and stood with an excited determination. He was eager to see just how much his five silver could buy him, little did he know, in this town, and many in fact, five silver wouldn't buy you much. unaware of this information he strolled over to the counter of the bar and addressed the innkeeper with eagerness.

"What all can I get for this?" He said, slapping the five coins down on the counter, a cocky grin and stature about him. The Innkeeper picked up the coins and weighed them in his hand for a moment.

"Are these real?" He asked, squinting his eyes at the coins.

"I should hope so," was Finn's response.

"I can have a turkey leg cooked up for you," the inn keeper spoke earnestly. Finns grin faded and his eyes widened, all he could do was stare at the inn keeper. there was a pause, a pause that went on for a little too long, then finally the inn keeper spoke again, "Well?"

"Yes, that sounds wonderful," Finn answered in a breathy whisper, still staring straight ahead. A moment later a woman came and brought him his cooked turkey leg. He took it from her and nodded, trying his best to smile, still too stunned to speak. For a little while he just looked at as his turkey leg, but then, after a short while longer he was stunned no more, and began to eat it. In that moment, whilst eating away all the money he had, he came to realize just how important those deer, and more so the gold that was to be payed for them, were.

"Excuse me," he said loudly, turning and addressing the entire room, "Do any of you know how to hunt?" he waited for a response, continuing to eat his turkey leg, looking about the room at the various people within.

Thrain turned to the charismatic man from earlier, as he addressed the room. Interest piqued, he decided to listen. Since this man was the only one he had a good impression of, the rest he disliked already. But upon hearing the question he almost spat his rum all over the recently wiped table, instead letting out a laugh as some simply dribbled down his stubbly face, as memories of his past hunting attempts flooded his mind. The answer itself was a simple 'yes'. Did he know how to hunt? Of course he did, he was born in a wild tribe, unfortunately. But could he hunt? Absolutely not.

"You think a man my size could hunt? A deer 'ed hear me from miles off!" He stated, like it was a known fact throughout the world. Before continuing.

"Although if you're payin' good money, and you're hunting something big. Like a bear, I'll carry it with an arm." His words were said in a slightly menacing manner, and he said the sentence as if he meant every word. A master of intimidation. Of course he was joking, he could carry a bear, but not with one arm.

The bath Greer had was absolutely relaxing, even though the water was a bit on the cold side. And as gross as it sounds, she hadn't had one since she started her abrupt journey. The nap she had however was short lived and she was still exhausted, as well as a bit crabby; her sleeping, as well as her sleeping schedule, always had been abnormal and out of whack at times. Though on the outside, she didn't show much excitement or enthusiasm, on the inside she felt a bit of the nerves of excitement gripping at her stomach.

She rolled from her bed and wandered out of her small, and a bit too cozy room, to downstairs. Once down, she saw a man addressing about something in the other room. "Do any of you know how to hunt?" Just hearing about hunting made her stomach growl and her mouth water. She hadn't hunt much on her travel here, so she didn't get to eat as much. Having only a sword kind of made it difficult to hunt, and one would need a bow and arrow to hunt those pesky, quick animals. Bow and arrows weren't her forte anyway and if only she had a spear, she would have speared some fish, but she doubted that the man was looking for someone to catch fish for him. So she didn't answer his request since she wouldn't have been of much help and went to the wall with the postings.

Perhaps I should take up that New Assistant job. She thought, though she didn't like the premise of it since she didn't want to deal with customers and the pay seemed low. However, the pay was steady and she could always find a side job here and there if she really needed it. She tilted her head a bit and rubbed the back of her neck. It's better than nothing, I suppose.

The twins both hid a smile when the man beside them was overly excited about his silver pieces, as if that would actually get him a whole lot to begin with. Manjano stole a glance at the man to see his expression when he was told that he could get a turkey leg, struggling to not laugh out loud at the man's perplexed look. Leandra couldn't help but let out a soft giggle and then the twins both looked away from the man to hopefully avoid him finding out that they found his situation to be humorous. Not too long after this incident, the man addressed the room, looking for hunters. The twins both exchanged a silent conversation for a few seconds and then Leandra slowly turned to face the man, leaning back on the counter of the bar again. Slightly raising one of her eyebrows, Leandra asked him, "What's in it for us?" She then nodded backwards at her twin brother, Manjano, who silently stared at the man with an expressionless look on his face.

Finn was pleased to hear someone answer, and laughed at the joke the giant made, but before he could respond a young woman beside him inquired more. He turned to her and grinned ever so slightly. He took notice of the man with her as well, but only after she pointed him out. Finn was a sucker for any woman who looked better than a spotted toad, and this young woman most certainly did. He was not a particularly rude man though, and in all fairness the giant fellow had answered first.

"I'm afraid the rather large gentleman inquired first," he said gesturing toward the hulking figure that had in fact first answered his call, "But I promise you will be the first I speak with if he decides against it," his tone quite friendly, and perhaps a tad flirtatious. To the man with her he gave a nonchalant solute, then turned and headed for the seated man, giant... giant man.

"Hello, hello, hello..." he started as he approached the giant man and sat with him, each hello getting quieter and quieter as he neared. Finn looked back over his shoulder at the young woman and than turned back to the man he was speaking with. "I am awfully sorry, but I could really use your help," he then used his eyes to gesture to the young woman behind him. After giving the man a moment to look he then stood up quite suddenly. "Well okay then, no means no, I understand," he stated loudly. He then leaned in and set what was left of his turkey leg on the table and whispered, "For your help," a playful smile upon his face. He backed away and returned to the bar , and more importantly to the young woman. "What do you know, he changed his mind," Finn said to the young woman and her friend. "If you're still interested I could pay, oh I don't, say, 200 gold?" he looked at the two and then added, "I'll even do most of the work!" with a wink, the wink directed mostly to the young woman.

Leandra raised an eyebrow at the man when he grinned at her, instantly finding his charm to be rather attractive, though Manjano naturally cared more for the reward. When Finn sauntered off and began acting rather obviously in a manner that suggested he wasn't going to work with the giant man, Leandra glanced back at Manjano, who was giving her a look that said, 'Money first, everything else later.' Typical. Leandra rolled her eyes at Manjano and then returned her attention to the man as he returned to the bar. Hearing his offer of payment, Manjano lightly nudged her from behind, another one of his ways of speaking, and Leandra already understood what he was implying. Time to act and become equally charming.

Giving the man a warm smile, Leandra said, "Well, perhaps we should start off by introducing ourselves before we jump right into this job." Pausing for a moment, Leandra then added in a friendly tone, "My name's Leandra and this is my brother, Manjano." This said, she noted back at her brother again, who simply smirked a tad at the man before returning to his neutral expression. Hoping to keep Manjano from potentially scaring off a job opportunity, more importantly a chance to earn some money, Leandra gave the man a small grin and said, "Don't mind him, he gets moody real easily. Anyhow, what's your name?"

Thrain remained seated, as the two people he didn't like for no particular reason answered the mans call for help. Even when faced with a pretty face, the charismatic man kept his word. Politely refusing the duos question in favor of speaking with him-or so he thought. The series of 'hellos' the man spoke got progressively quieter, until they were but a whisper. Which is when he broke the news that he was in fact putting on an act, for a pretty face. Which, strangely enough, made Thrain like this man even more. He remembered his years in the city-chasing skirts. Unfortunately it didn't last long when most woman he tried flirting with were utterly terrified. Unfortunately it seemed being a giant did have its fair share of negatives.

he eyed the turkey leg the man dumped on the table, raising an eyebrow as he walked off to woo his target. He chuckled at his obvious naivety, Thrain was, of course. Planning on tagging along anyway, it couldn't hurt after all. Besides, if they did find a bear he'd probably keep the hide and sell it. If anyone was killing a bear it wouldn't be one of the other scrawny people in the inn. The more the merrier of course, he wasn't giving the trio of adventurers a choice in the matter anyway, he doubt they could refuse considering his size. Chuckling to himself, he grabbed the turkey leg which lay prone on the table, taking a bite out of it, as he waited for the trio to head for the door. Where he would of course tell them of their new companion.

cyrus watched on as more people came into the inn, he thought about takling on one of the jobs on the fliers that were put up on the wall. however he did not need to take any jobs, he already had a lump sum of coin that would last him at least 2 more days in the inn.

cyrus saw as the man who hung up the fliers was overjoyed by the small amount of money he had only to be able to only afford one turkey leg. He felt sorry for the man and thought about helping him out, but was cut off when the man called out, asking for hunters. cyrus continued watching as the bear man and the woman both answered his request. the bear man's comment about carrying a bear in one arm only rekindled the memory of being chased by one not too long ago, he finished off his ale to get it off his mind.

the silver coin man continued his conversation with the devious looking woman, cyrus thought about joining him on his hunting trip, he had a long bow and was experienced in hunting as it is his usual method for getting food. Cyrus waited for the man and woman to finish speaking then spproached the man, tapping his shoulder "excuse me, i know how to use a bow, perheps i can be of assistance in helping you hunt."
