BASIC INFORMATION

NAME: Kane Davey, son of a Sootopolis sailor and grandson of a world class scientist.

ALIASES: None, although not to say he wouldn't have any nicknames given by any friends.

AGE: He is 18 years of age, about a half year from being 19.

GENDER: He is a manly man.

PERSONAL

SEXUALITY: He is heterosexual. Always has been, always will be.

HIGH CONCEPT: Living with the weight of great expectations, he will be the greatest Trainer to match the likes of Red.

CHARACTER ALIGNMENT: Neutral Good. He'll usually follow the law where he can, but his years living in multiple regions has taught him that sometimes following the law isn't necessarily the right thing to do.

RELATIVES: His grandfather, Dr. Argent Davey, is a world renowned scientist, known for working on several great projects such as power plants and hydroelectric dams to even designing ships and docks. Originally from the Hoenn region, Argent retired to his hometown of Sootopolis where he took up the hobby of helmsmanship of a variety of sea vessels (bought with his vast wealth) such as submarines, boats, yachts and even the odd sea plane or two. That's where his son, Kane's father, Steven took up the hobby. Steven Davey grew into a strong sailor who made a living taking people on trips in and out of Sootopolis and sometimes even helped Slateport in designing ships and recommended cruise trips based on current and storm locations across the world. He married a woman, Susan, but over time he started to realise that she was a fraud and a con artist, and only married him for his father's wealth. She was eventually discovered and arrested when their son, Kane, was about 7 years of age. Not wanting to have his son constantly reminded of his criminal mother, Steven retired early and took Kane on sailing trips across the world.

PERSONALITY: Kane is a very strong-willed individual. He is in no way cowardly, and will fight to the bitter end if needs be. Living most of his life in different regions, he has learned about all the different types of person, culture, Pokemon and lifestyles, making him pretty charismatic - although, his dad's influence helps with his charisma. He is a sailor at heart, and absolutely loves being on, in or under the water - he has experienced all. Kane has gained enough experience on the sea to be able to sail on his own, yet he never discusses it or brags about it - not in his nature. He is an honestly good person, with a pure heart, and protects his friends with his life.

However, he is very stubborn - dangerously so. He isn't going to surrender without a fight, especially when his friends or Pokemon are involved, and that can lead him into some very dangerous situations. He acts quickly and can respond to change in circumstance easily, but sometimes can make a wrong decision if he isn't expecting it - he makes quick decisions based on his heart not on his mind.

BIO: With his mother in jail for fraudulence and his father being a well off sailor, Kane has had the fortune of having most of his life on the move. Some might think that living without a real place to live, nowhere to call home, a bad thing, but Kane loved it. As his father puts it, saltwater flows through his soul like blood through his body. As father and son, the pair would spend weeks on the sea, wrestling with the waves and fighting the storms, and spend about a year on land in a region so that Steven could teach his son the lessons of life - not only how to be a good and efficient worker in various trades, but how to be a good man.

Kane could tell you hundreds of stories involving him and his father and their varied life, all of them true. However, after nearly a decade of this life, his father finally decided that Kane needed a home and friends he'd be able to see every day. He knew that Kane would have goals of his own soon, and he could see that he wanted to be a world-class Trainer. It brought a smile to his face to see what a man Kane grew up to be, despite his mother, but knew that a life on the sea wasn't going to do from now on. Besides, he was starting to get old and hoisting ropes and wrestling with the currents was starting to get to him.

As a result, they settled in a small town in Telios using the Davey family wealth. The sea never really left the Davey father and son duo, so they still own the yacht that carried them across the world anchored in a nearby port - 'The Sharpedo'. Steven named it that after the way Sharpedoes could tear through water as if it wasn't there, similar to his boat.
PHYSICAL

ITEMS & PERSONAL BELONGINGS: His four Pokemon's Pokeballs, a backpack filled with various Trainer things (food, sleeping bag, medicine etcetera) and his collapsible Fishing Rod with various different lures. He also has a rechargeable torch for night time travel and a pocket radio so he can keep up with the news and weather and his phone. His phone comes with a GPS tracking system so if he gets into trouble, he can send an emergency radio signal to the police.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: First and foremost, Kane is an amazing sailor. He can tie a knot that will never undo itself, travel by the stars, determine the time based on the Sun's location in the sky and sail a ship through a stormy sea. While his knowledge isn't as advanced as his father's, he knows most of the shipping lanes (all sailors have to know them so they don't drift in front of a cargo ship while they're sleeping) and he knows the general layout of the ocean's currents and storm patterns. Anything relating to the sea, he can do with no issue. He is used to 5-6 hours sleep a night, and is used to sleeping an hour at a time, then staying awake for a couple of hours (and so on. Again, this stems from his sea life). He is also a good Trainer, going on a journey to be a great one, and is pretty strategic if he needs be. He is stronger than he looks, and is very athletically fit.

WEAKNESSES: He has absolutely no aesthetic sense, which cripples him massively in contests and similar tournaments. He can't really cook - he usually just eats canned or dried foods (but he can cook a mean kelpsy and tofu soup) - and he can be a bit disorganised. While his organisation makes sense to him, and he can use it with ease, it is completely illogical and random to anyone else. His handwriting, while not illegible, is terrible. He hasn't had a formal education and, while he knows a bit about most subjects from books his dad bought him, he isn't massively wise or intelligent (unless it is about geography or something like astronomy).

FLUFF

LIKES: Sailing, fishing, swimming etcetera. He also loves kelpsy soup, and usually makes it when he can source some fresh Kelpsy berries. He also likes stargazing.

DISLIKES: Large, packed crowds, spicy food and deserts.

QUIRKS: He'll sometimes refer to sailing terms, like using port and starboard for left and right, and when he is flustered/angry his accent and dialect changes to a more sailor-esque one. This accent and dialect is also present when he is speaking to his father.

OTHER THINGS WORTH NOTING: Used to belong to Kane's grandfather.

LIKES: 'Snacking' on Kane's rechargeable flashlight, and being cleaned with industrial cleaner. Kane's Magneton also likes the ocean, which is handy.

OTHER THINGS WORTH NOTING: When Blaziken is angry, it kicks things to relieves its anger.

OTHER THINGS WORTH NOTING: Cradily is Kane's first Pokemon - he discovered the fossil when he was 5, on a school trip to the desert, and his dad immediately took him to a lab to resurrect it. Cradily has been with Kane since forever, and adores him to bits. However, despite Cradily's power and combat experience, Kane tries to not use it in battle - mainly to avoid causing it pain. It does, however, have a tendency to break out of its ball if it thinks Kane is being threatened.

LIKES: Kane, Kane's friends, scratches behind the head and on the neck. It also likes resting on the sea floor.

DISLIKES: Strangers and anyone who threatens Kane. It also hates flying.

Aliases: Will usually go by Dylan or Mei, but isn't a fan of people saying her entire first name aloud. Known as the "Ice Queen" by a good deal of people back home.

High Concept: By going against everything thrown at her, there is no doubt that she'll come out stronger than ever.

Relatives: Her parents (Lilith and Jethro Hendrix) and younger brother (Cooper Hendrix) who are back home
PHYSICAL

Appearance: Height~ 5 feet 6 inches, weight is about 115 pounds

Personality: Dylan really isn't your average girl, despite her appearance. She's actually rather tough and hard-headed. Not much of a coward either. With her lacking in the fear factor this allows her to put herself into dangerous situations without freaking out. Instead she goes into them with a calm, level-minded demeanor which aids her in thinking rationally and act quickly. These factors more than likely came from her mother, Lilith. Mei's stubbornness more than likely is a piece of her father that she inherited due to his own job.
Though this can be seen as a positive thing, it is also viewed negatively. Dylan usually will come off as soulless and alien to most people because she doesn't really have any fear to most things people grow scared of. Another reason to why she was known as the "Ice Queen" is because of the way she speaks. Most everything she says is something serious or monotone, and a little rude. However, Mei doesn't mean to be cold and harsh. Well, not a majority of the time. But deep down she really does have a heart. You just have to look for it really hard.

Bio: Growing up Dylan had a rather normal childhood, per say. Both of her parents had very important job that took up a good deal of their time in their life. Her mother, Lilith, was a police officer while her father, Jethro, was a doctor at the hospital in Jubilife. Though they didn't always spend time together young Dylan loved whatever chance she got with them. But, it also caused her to start growing rather distant. Most her days were spent at home to take care of her baby brother because of her parent's work schedules. A rather lonely life if the only person around was a babbling, crying baby. This was soon noticed by both her parents and that's when they started talking about letting their daughter spread her wings. They finally agreed to let her go once she turned 12, that way Cooper was around 9 and big enough to look out for himself.
As the day started to approach her parents took a few days off from work to prepare their daughter for the world. Her mother taught her that she must never show fear when the going gets tough, and that fear would only hold her back from achieving her goals. Her father taught Dylan that giving up wasn't an option, and to through all obstacles no matter how tough they might be. With these lessons now a part of her, Dylan set out into the world with one last parting gift. A Riolu that her parents gifted to her. It had hatched from an egg born by Lilith and Jethro's Lucario.
After years of traveling the Sinnoh region, Mei decided to set her sites on a new journey. The Telios region. Once she had the funds and means to get there she left her home region to take on the gyms and travel the roads of this new land.

Items & Personal Belongings: Her five PokeBalls, a roomy shoulder bag (holds one spare change of clothes, pajamas, her wallet full of money, and a mini first aid kit). Mei also carries a cellphone that she uses to keep herself up to date on things along with keep in contact with people (mostly her family).

Skills & Abilities: Due to having to take care of her younger brother for a portion of her life, along with herself all her life, Dylan has gained cooking skills. The meals she makes will either taste really good, or average. It all depends on the ingredients she has to work with. Thanks to her dad being a doctor she has also picked up on a few thinks regarding taking care of one's overall health such as dressing wounds and taking care of sick people, and Pokémon, until they are fully healed. And thanks to her mother, Dylan can come up with a plan on the dot and be able to carry it out effectively given the situation.

Weaknesses: Dylan has issues when it comes to making her emotions known to others, such as sadness and joy and etc. It's hard for her to interact with other people and try to grow close to them due to the fact that she had spent her childhood taking care of her brother and not really getting to go outside and play with other children. And thanks to her stubbornness she usually puts herself in risky situations and will normally not back down from, well, anything. This is actually rather dangerous when you think about it.

Jane's parents are explorers who spend most of their time away from home. Fearing that Jane may get into trouble without them around, they had sent her to live with her grandparents. Also, her grandparents were not allowed to let her leave the house by herself, just to make sure she remained safe. As a result, Jane had grown up dreaming of leaving and going on adventures as a pokemon trainer.

However, even after waiting for 16 years, her parents never seemed to have considered letting her go on her own journey. Fortunately, on her 17th birthday, she recieved a letter from them, inviting her to go on her own journey in the Telios Continent. Futhermore, they were willing to give her any pokemon of her choice to help her start out on her journey. But there was a catch: the pokemon they give will have no starting items, and also be low levelled. With such a lousy trainer, they may also often disobey her orders. Still, so long as Jane could get her freedom, it didn't matter to her what pokemon she recieved.

Because she found Ice types cool at the time, she decided on getting a full ice type team, just like gym leader's who only focus on a single typing.

Bio: Zeke had grew up in a small home with his mom and dad. Personality: Grade A lazy ass, weirdo, and all around cool guy, Steven floats along on the back of his wailord without a care in the world. Sometimes if someone asks for a lift he'll give it to them, though it's typically best if they bring their own tent. Steven sees absolutely nothing wrong with floating casually around the world on the back of a floating football field (more or less). Also he totally enjoys hamming up how others see him. Still his journies have given him plenty to talk about and he has plenty of wisdom.

Bio: Originally from Sootopolis, Steven grew up with a wailmer as his main pokemon. He often would sneak away to see how far he could ride wailmer and explore the surrounding vast ocean. At the age of 14 he decided to set out and explore the entire region of Hoenn, battling with his wailmer until it evolved. Nick was so ecstatic when it evolved only to realize one major issue: battling indoors with a 50 foot tall whale that was over 100 feet long wasn't going to be possible. And so he acquired his second and third pokemon, a mudkip and a spinarak. It was about the time that he aquired mudkip that Steven put two and two together and realized that since Wailord floats in the air, he would probably make a very comfortable ride. He quickly bought himself a small tent and placed it on wailord's back with a few stones to weigh it down and keep it from blowing away. From then, he decided it was time to travel to other regions he had heard about. He was 16, he could probably take care of himself. He climbed atop wailord and thus began his journey to other regions, drifting wherever the sea and sky took him, catching pokemon and training all the while. Once he caught a golett and it became golurk he now had a suitably strong pokemon to push or pull wailord in the sky to wherever he wanted to go and even carry others with him. This sight plus his earlier escapades of travelling atop a wailord earned him many titles and strange looks but also made him money whenever someone needed to travel somewhere relatively fast and comfortably.

Appearance:
Vincent looks like your average Punk Guy, with short, blue hair and light blue eyes. He wears a black tank top with a white X across the belly. He is almost always seen wearing a black ball cap with a white bandana tied around his neck, as well as black and white wristbands and some white high-tops.

Personality: At first glance, Vincent appears to be a tough and intimidating youth, someone you'd be hesitant to talk to if given a choice. While Vincent tries to keep up this appearance, he is really just another clueless teenager searching for his true calling. When Vincent tries something new, he always approaches it with caution and uncertainty due to his lack of confidence. If Vincent succeeds, he becomes ecstatic and may even start to rap and dance like in his Skull grunt days. When he fails, however, it hurts his confidence even more, and Vincent will become very reluctant to try it again.

When it comes to battling, Vincent isn't nearly as comfortable going against strong looking opponents as he is with weaker ones. Vincent usually never goes into any battle with a strategy in mind, preferring to rely on his instincts and dealing with problems as they come. When Vincent loses a battle, he becomes frustrated and sometimes hostile, spewing out (often) empty threats and holding a grudge against whoever beat him.

Vincent tries very hard to take care good care of his pokemon and often spoils them by letting them do whatever they want and giving them treats whenever they ask for it. As a result, his Raticate is undisciplined and will sometimes refuse to follow orders until it has had its favorite snack. This is because Vincent cares deeply about them and hates to see them upset or sad. This goes double for his Spinda which was given to him by his close friend back when he lived in Alola.

Bio:
Up until a year ago, Vincent lived in the Alola region and was a grunt in the infamous Team Skull, a gang of misfits and slackers with a penchant for causing trouble. Vincent often hung out in the Po Town Pokemon Center with his female companion, Cathy and her Spinda, healing Team Skull's Pokemon and dancing and rapping all day every day. After its disbanding, Vincent and Cathy were left without their "family" or a sense of belonging. Not wanting to return to his real family, Vincent suggested that the two of them travel the world together. Cathy, who wanted to stay in Alola refused but encouraged Vince that he go by himself and "loaned" him her Spinda until the day he would come back.

And so, with the money the two of them had saved charging for healing in Po Town, Vincent bought a boat ticket to the Telios continent in search of a title he could call his own. One that would impress Cathy when he would return to Alola.

Vincent looks like your average Punk Guy, with short, blue hair and light blue eyes. He wears a black tank top with a white X across the belly. He is almost always seen wearing a black ball cap with a white bandana tied around his neck, as well as black and white wristbands and some white high-tops.

Personality: At first glance, Vincent appears to be a tough and intimidating youth, someone you'd be hesitant to talk to if given a choice. While Vincent tries to keep up this appearance, he is really just another clueless teenager searching for his true calling. When Vincent tries something new, he always approaches it with caution and uncertainty due to his lack of confidence. If Vincent succeeds, he becomes ecstatic and may even start to rap and dance like in his Skull grunt days. When he fails, however, it hurts his confidence even more, and Vincent will become very reluctant to try it again.

When it comes to battling, Vincent isn't nearly as comfortable going against strong looking opponents as he is with weaker ones. Vincent usually never goes into any battle with a strategy in mind, preferring to rely on his instincts and dealing with problems as they come. When Vincent loses a battle, he becomes frustrated and sometimes hostile, spewing out (often) empty threats and holding a grudge against whoever beat him.

Vincent tries very hard to take care good care of his pokemon and often spoils them by letting them do whatever they want and giving them treats whenever they ask for it. As a result, his Raticate is undisciplined and will sometimes refuse to follow orders until it has had its favorite snack. This is because Vincent cares deeply about them and hates to see them upset or sad. This goes double for his Spinda which was given to him by his close friend back when he lived in Alola.

Bio:
Up until a year ago, Vincent lived in the Alola region and was a grunt in the infamous Team Skull, a gang of misfits and slackers with a penchant for causing trouble. Vincent often hung out in the Po Town Pokemon Center with his female companion, Cathy and her Spinda, healing Team Skull's Pokemon and dancing and rapping all day every day. After its disbanding, Vincent and Cathy were left without their "family" or a sense of belonging. Not wanting to return to his real family, Vincent suggested that the two of them travel the world together. Cathy, who wanted to stay in Alola refused but encouraged Vince that he go by himself and "loaned" him her Spinda until the day he would come back.

And so, with the money the two of them had saved charging for healing in Po Town, Vincent bought a boat ticket to the Telios continent in search of a title he could call his own. One that would impress Cathy when he would return to Alola.

Other things worth noting: Not necessarily violent. Has been in this world long enough that it has grown accustomed to it. Other pokemon tend to stay away from it. Most humans believe it's a myth, after all no other pokemon has been seen like it and any attempts to capture it were useless. It will intervene in battles if it comes across someone who is in need of assistance. In ages past, it would try and challenge any pokemon in an attempt to prove how strong it was. Now it seems to mainly be content to flex.
