It has been years since bioweapons released deadly toxins into the air and water. Most of humanity is dead, except those lucky few to be immune. But even those immune have their own problems to deal with. The lack of food, clean water, resources. The earth is dry and sandstorms are frequent in every corner of the world. Thunderstorms bring fierce rain, lightning, and thunder. These storms have been known to bring the tallest skyscrapers to the ground. It is getting harder and harder to live by the day.
Clean water and food are the least of their problems though. The sun rises later and sets earlier, leaving the survivors only a handful of hours to cherish the light. The light that keeps them safe. The light that keep the Creatures away. The Creatures don't come out until dark, but when they do, even the shadows of the night wont keep you safe. They hunt in numbers and they hunt until you're found.
You must use your few hours of light wisely, or else you wont make it through the night.

So basically this is a post-apocalyptic RP, but without zombies. I have tried this plot a couple other times, and both times my partner has disappeared from the site. One was going super well, but we didn't get very far into the plot. The craving for this one is still strong, so I am on the hunt again. Let me go into some more detail with this one:
This RP will be gritty, our characters will be dirty, hungry, and exhausted. Too often I see post-apocalyptic settings where characters have clean clothes and hair, but no water. I don't want this to be like that. Our characters will be pushed to the limits, and some may even die. DUN DUN DUHH. Despite all that, I do want this to be an enjoyable RP for both of us.
The Creatures are loosely based off of the Flood Infection from the Halo games. But our Creatures have long claws and teeth...lots of teeth.
The RP will start out in a city, preferably Chicago or Atlanta, but we can decide on one later one. We will travel around at some point, maybe to a place we hear is safe, but for the time being, we will stay in the city.
A little bit about me and my character... My character will be female, so I would preferably have a partner who will play a male character. My posts vary between 2 and 5 paragraphs. Sometimes in dialogue it may drop to a paragraph, but I will never send you a one liner. I can usually send you a reply any time (my time zome being CST), but I promise at least once a day. If I can't reply for a while, I will let you know. I also really enjoy making friends, so OOC chat is a plus for me.
