I'm sure I'm not the only one who suffers from this. You have an idea for a roleplay, you write/type it down, it sounds good, it looks good, you do an interest check to see if others are interested. Suddenly, you have an epiphany. Lightning has just struck your brain. (that must be painful.) You have a new idea, you talk it out with yourself, you write/type it down, you review it, you like it, you do a interest check, and then BAM! again it happens. Cycle, rinse, repeat. Circular theory works because, circular theory works because, circular theory work because... It's madness with a cup tea.
Okay enough with the bad puns and references. I seriously do have a problem. I have these ideas that I think would be great for roleplays. I do in fact write them down, give them a once over, see if I still like it, etc. My issue is that I shelf an idea after a certain period of time occurs. Life, as you all know, likes to keep us busy or not at all. So I have these ideas. I review them again and I either rewrite the ideas or I shelf them and come back to them later. The more a stew over them however the more I want to try and improve on the details, improve on the world, improve on the mechanics, improve on all these things that I think would be great in these roleplays. Then new ideas come up and I forget roleplays that I had planned and start working on the newer ones. Eventually I just trash idea entirely, yet the ideas are still there and come back. I don't know hat to do with it all. I'm scatterbrained at this point. I want one of these roleplays to finally cross that line and make it here. I just don't know what I want to present first, I don't know if I have enough details, if I have a good enough hook? Thoughts like these are what's holding me back.
I just don't know where to go with it all. Should I drop the ideas here and tag them as actual Ideas or should I shotgun them in the Interest Check? I really just need a second opinion cause at this point I've trashed all of the old material and I literally have nothing but floating ideas. Any help would be appreciated. I know this is a personal problem but I can, for whatever reason, trust a bunch of strangers on the internet to help me out LOL.
