Tokyo Tech-Samurai
It all started in Tokyo, Japan. The uprising of technology. People started to move on, creating gadgets to make their lives easier, vehicles which got upgraded into floating things who don’t even need gas to move anymore, weapons which were more harmful than normal guns, the buildings that became bigger and more industrial. Some things changed but some things stayed the same. The biggest temples survived the evolution, staying in the same state as before, taken care of by skilled people who knew something about it. Not even a scratch could be seen on the walls which made it a big attraction for tourists as well as the locals themselves. It was a memory of their past.
However with great change, came great responsibility. Something that not everybody wanted to take on. Being oblivious to the destruction they caused in order to improve themselves. Honour was something of the past. A handful of high ranking people in Japan wanted more power, more control, more authority which didn’t fall into the liking of the others. Tension arose and the more time went by, the more one could feel it. Eventually these ten ‘leaders’ went their own way by forming another group called “Anaconda” which came to be known as the most dangerous group in existence. Assembling their soldiers in preparation to get their power, indulging people with fear whenever they walked the streets. The black snake emblem showing on their jackets proudly.
The people became desperate as they didn’t have the courage to do anything about it. That was until five stood up and tried to figure something out to stop this tyranny. Asking everyone about possible help they could get but none managed to give them a positive reply. Only one homeless man heard them from across the street and yelled: “Go to the Senso-Ji Temple. Look for the golden scroll in the deepest corners and there will be your answer ! Only those with the bravest hearts will be able to transform Japan, only the chosen can be part of the change.” The man his words echoed throughout the streets, nobody paying attention except these five.
The scroll that the man mentioned was the calling for the Watchers. They used to be the protectors of Japan but got banished due to the fear for their powers. People thought of them as spirits trapped on Earth or demi-gods.
Who will you be in this story and how will you change the destiny of Japan?

The Watchers had been chosen by the people they loved, wanting for their spirit to live on despite all the bad events that happened in their lives. Feeling that if they would save them, they would be able to help Japan as a whole. This could’ve been through a feeling in their guts and the faith in their companion or the sole reason that this person did something great in his life hence the reason why they wanted them to become a powerful being. This wasn’t always with the support of the person being ‘resurrected’ but due to the feelings that were put into the ritual they couldn’t deny their sole job which was to watch over Japan and guarantee its safety.
These spirits had been wandering around on Earth for a long period of time. All of them having a time span which exceeds the one of the average human being by great length. However due to them having been locked up inside the Golden Scroll inside of the Senso-Ji Temple, they could only watch the Earth from above. They could communicate with each other through telepathy and discuss the changes in the world while they were stored away.
There had been cases that they had been called upon, sometimes two of them, three or just one but never exceeded more than four. This was due to the fear of the Watchers’ power as they weren’t to be taken lightly. [There were about five events that they had been called upon, their time on Earth didn’t go over two months as their presence was no longer needed by then.]
