In modern times there are things that are unknown to the world. Ghouls happening to be one of those. However that is soon to change. As of right now there is only 1 ghoul. The rest of you are either investigators or normal civilians that work at a science facility. As the story progresses more positions and places will open. I will let you know when you can submit a character to become a ghoul but as of right now we are all normal people living out day to day lives with the occasional hiccup.
