Please do not just glance and say you'll post then don't. I absolutely hate that. It irritates me to no end. Please be detailed and active. I understand life happens and things get in the way, but please do not ghost and leave us hanging. Anyway here is the set up.
In the world there are predators and there are prey. For the longest time humans thought they were at the top of the food chain. The ultimate predator with their brains and the ability to use tools to better their lives. This was proven untrue when ghouls started showing up and eating humans left and right. When the Doves came and stepped in things started to teeter back but then the ghouls started fighing back harder. Finding ways to hide and strike from the shadows so it teetered back and forth from one side to the other. It was a never ending cycle. Now, things are a bit calmer. Ghouls and humans have coexisted for a while but the humans still try to exterminate the ghouls so they hide and grow in the shadows of man. Often the owners of cafe's and coffee places are owned and employed by ghouls who really enjoy the stuff.
Now there are some things you need to know about the world today. Ghouls hide in plane sight. They do not trust humans or even each other really. They eat human flesh and starve without it as human food makes them very sick. They can even eat one another if they become cannibalistic. Next, the cities are divided into factions in numerical order. This gives the Doves a chance to patrol and govern each area to keep the ghoul population under control and it helps the ghouls clearly mark each territory and groups. Now, humans and ghouls don't mix. They generally hate each other because of what each there was. Prey and predator. Though sometimes, on rare occasions, the two can get alone as a couple. Even rarer are there children to be born from this. Hybrids. Either born or made. Either way it is extremely rare and very few survive to adulthood. Those who were made have a ghoul's eye on their left side, while those born have the ghoul's eye on the right. It is said that either way, these hybrids are sterile and cannot reproduce but, who knows.
