Just avoid the shadows.


The Ghouls work behind the scenes... They work together. Separate from the Human Economy, the Ghouls have their own Social System... They control the Humans like puppets. Their Companies... Their homes... Their everything.


So, just imagine what happened when the CCG Found out...


Ghoulish Friendships, Shattered... Partners, Betrayed...


But one Group rose above... The Nightclub, Downtown. Not the location... The name. Most just call it 'The Nightclub', Considering it's the only Nightclub in the area. This is partially because Doves would look out of place in an area like this... But mostly because of the staff.


The Nightclub's Staff was... Risky. It consisted of mostly Ghouls... But, a good portion was Human. Some know of their Ghoulish Co-Workers... But, some remained clueless...


Due to safety issues, these Humans are avoided. But one day they'll find out, like the others...


Here's to hoping that day doesn't come too soon...

Ukii walked in The Nightclub at 5:37 AM... Way earlier than they opened. He was working hard for a promotion, which explained why he was so anxious to be early. He was surprised to find the door unlocked... Especially because he locked up the night before. I am totally gonna get shit for this... He thought, as he shook his head. But, much to his amusement, he found Shii sitting at the bar, working on paperwork.

Shii looked from their monthly bills, to inspect the sound of the front door opening. He smiled a bit when he saw Ukii standing in the light. "I thought I would be the only one here this early..." Ukii said quietly, as he let the door close behind him. "Yeah... I got here an hour ago. Try harder next time." Shii said, with a chuckle. He didn't stop staring at Ukii... Until he realized it was making the timid boy very, very uncomfortable. Shii face turned slightly red; "Sorry... I'm a little tired." He explained, which allowed Ukii to relax a bit. Ukii walked to the back room, where he washed dishes. The least desirable job in the Club...


But Shii wasn't tired. He was Hungry... He looked back to the back room, and took a whiff of the air. His Left-Eye's Kakugan ((The Ghoul's Eye)) Activated, giving him his Ghoulish look. He was tempted to attack the boy... Ukii needed to find out about the Ghouls somehow...

Asato

Asato woke early in the morning to the sound of her alarm. She glared at it before turning it off. She hated having to get up early for work but did anyway because she needed the money. She did her daily routine as usual, getting dressed, drinking some coffee, brushing teeth, the usual. She then headed for the door and took a nice walk twoards the nightclub.


By the time Asato arived it was 5:45. She shook her head some at the realization that she set her alarm for the wrong time, but because she didn't feel like doing anything else she decided just to head in. She instantly caught the stench of a human, meaning that there was already someone here. She saw Shii sitting at the bar with a rather... interesting look on his face. She realized that he probably got some great idea about attacking whatever human staff had been present in the club. She smiled slightly and approached him, finally finding out who the human was as well. There was one human she knew that liked to get in early and was assigned to do dishes. "How about we leave Ukii in the dark for now? He doesn't need to find out by you sinking your canines into him..." She said placing her hand on Shii's shoulder and patting it a couple times before grabbing a rag. She had no authority at all to tell him not to attack the staff, she just didn't want to have to deal with cleaning up blood. Asato, looking for something to do, went around and gave the bar and any tables a quick wipe to make sure everything was ready.

Ukii's head perked up as he heard Asato say his name. He peeked around the corner, his view of Shii blocked by the Redhead. He cleared his throat and finally spoke nervously. "Hey... You said my name?" He said quietly, only his eyes and the lower part of his mouth visible. By the time he'd spoke Asato had walked away, and Shii turned away from him.

Shii groaned a bit as he heard Ukii. He turned away casually so Ukii couldn't see his eye, and rested his elbow on the table. "Go back to work, Ukii... Don't make me get the manager." He threatened, even though the manager wasn't there. He hadn't shown up at all over the past day or two... No one was really worried though. This wasn't the first time, after all. By the time he was done with his thought, Ukii had rushed back to his pile of dishes. Shii chuckled a bit, and went back to his paperwork, his eye back to normal.

Asato

Asato waved the rag at Ukii as if saying nevermind. She finished wiping down the tables. It was a simple task and worked well when she had nothing else to do. She actually enjoyed doing that then her normal job. Let's be honest, what girl enjoys walking around and searching alcohol to drunks. I guess some girls would but she wasn't like that. She walked back to the counter to put the rag away and leaned on on her elbow. "Hey, Mr.Paper's anything else I can do until we open?" She said with a slightly mocking but playful tone.

 

[Thetas]

"You can go get me some food from the storage upstairs... I'm starving." Shii replied, not taking his eyes off the paper he was working on. Mainly because he felt like his Kakugan could activate at any moment... The last thing he needed was Ukii seeing him like that. He looked over to the door that led to Ukii, with a remorseful sigh. He could hold in his hunger till Asato got him some meat. Though Ukii was smelling rather delicious right now...

Asato

Asato smiled a little and nodded. "Sure thing paperwork." She said before heading upstairs. She wandered around, taking her time to see if she would be able to get on his nerves. She finally grabbed some of the flesh and waltzed downstairs. "Oh Shii, I got you you're meal!" She said with a giggle as she got to the bottom steps.

By the time Asato was on the final steps, Shii was already in the room with Ukii. A sharp cry could be heard coming from the room, as well as an obvious struggle. Within seconds, Ukii was out the door, screaming at the top of his lungs. He bolted for the exit, figurative tail between his legs. Shii burst from the room, a bit of blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth, explaining the slight blood trail Ukii was leaving behind.

Asato heard the sharp cry of pain and swore under her breath. She ran out, pushing past Ukii and pushing Shii into the wall. "We do not hurt fellow co workers..." She said in a cold tone, holding up the pice of flesh. She was shaking a little, not sure how Shii would react. She hoped he would just take the flesh and be done with it, chances are though he wouldn't. He already got a fresh bite off of Ukii.

Ukii fell to the ground when Asato pushed him. Not because it was a hard push or anything... But more so because he wasn't expecting it. He curled up in a ball on the floor near the exit, and put a hand over the wound Shii left. "G-Ghouls..." He said quietly, as he eyed the exit. If I get out I could warn everyone else... He thought, as he reached for the door. He pulled himself a little closer, leaving a thick trail of blood behind, unnoticed by Shii.

Shii grunted a bit, and pushed Asato away. "Why don't you go take a bite..? It tastes the best when it's fresh." He said, with a smirk. He was sure he could get her on his side, if he tried hard enough. Ukii's eyes widened when Shii tried to convince Asato to bite him... Ukii slammed his eyes shut, and pulled his arm back, afraid Asato would reply badly if he tried to run

Asato

Asato huffed a little from the push and glared at Shii. Though she did look back at Ukii, licking her lips slightly to the smell of the flesh blood. Before she did anything rash she turned and pinned Shii against the wall. "That last thing we need is the CCG finding out about us... so how about you eat you're meal while I take care of shy boy over there..." She said quietly in a cold tone and dropped the pice of flesh infront of him.


Before he could fully react Asato had ran over and helped Ukii up, and dragged him upstairs. She looked around for a bathroom and layed him over the drain so more blood couldn't get everywhere. She licked her lips a little once more but heald herself together. "Ukii, look at me... I need you to cooperate okay..." She started, wanting to get his full attention.

Ukii whined a little bit, and looked up to Asato. He barely knew her, but he still felt like he could trust her, Ghoul or not. "I-I trust you.." He said quietly, as he looked up at her vibrant red hair. Her hair is the same color as my blood... He thought, as he looked down to the slowly-draining puddle of blood below him. He wasn't bleeding much anymore... But his wound still hurt a lot... It burned more than he could've ever imagined... H-How could he do that to me..? I thought we were friends... He thought, as he put a hand to the bite mark on his shoulder, causing him to wince a bit.

Asato

Asato smiled a little to hear that Ukii trusted her. "Give me a second, okay?" She said quickly leaving the room to grab medical tape and some rubbing alcohol. She smiled bringing it back and tilted her head. "This is going to sting a little..." she said pouring the alcohol over his wound to disinfect it. The more she smelled the blood the more tempted she was to sink her teeth into her flesh but she refrained. She took the medical tape and gently wrapped it around his wound. By the time she had finished she fell back on her ass. Her eyes where visibly red and she had a evil smile on her face. She covered it with her hand, plugging her nose. She shook her head some and coughed. "S-sorry, uh... anyway." She cleared her throat. "You cant tell anyone what happened, I'll talk to Shii... Please Ukii... don't tell anyone. If someone asks just say..." she thought hard about it and shrugged. "Dog attack, can you do that? For me?" She said in a cute yet seductive tone.

Ukii nodded slightly. He didn't know why he was agreeing... He shouldn't trust her. He barely knew her!! For all he knew, she could want to take a bite out of him at some point too... He looked up at her, with scared eyes. "Y-You aren't gonna..." He started, as he covered up his newly bandaged wound. "What if Shii tries to hurt me again..?" He asked, as he looked down at the ground, his eyes wide. "You're killers..." He realized, as he covered his mouth a bit. He looked up at her, with angry eyes. "You're Killers!" He exclaimed, as he stood up in the blood-soaked tub.

Asato

Asato simply shook her head no to answer his first question which she assumed was him asking if she would bite him. As for the second question she didn't manage to get to answering it. She shot a glare his way and growled. She grabbed the collar of his shirt and pressed him up against the wall. He had made a mistake calling her a 'Killer'. It wasn't like she wanted to do what she did, she had to. "You have no right calling us killers." She growled, pushing him harder against the wall. "I..." she stopped and let go of him. "It's no use... you humans are to stupid to understand anyway..." At this point her eyes where red, she had gotten a devious idea. She tilted her head a little and took a step into the tub. She was obviously mad at him and wanted some way to get back at him for calling her a killer. "I helped you and you call me a killer... how about I give you a matching mark on your other shoulder? After all I am a killer!" She bared her teeth at him but didn't try anything yet.

 

[Thetas]

Ukii's eyes widened exponentially when she picked him up by his shirt. He let out a sharp cry, and fell to the ground when she let go of him. His eyes widened as they met hers, which were a deep shade of black, with red centers. He let out a whimper, and slammed his eyes shut; "I-I'm sorry... Asato, please!!" He exclaimed, as tears began streaming down his cheeks

Asato shook her head at him and giggled slightly. "You're sorry..." She scoffed slight and turned away. "You know you have some really odd feelings about me.... First you trust me, I help patch up your arm and you call me a killer. Then I bare my teeth at you and you suddenly are sorry?" She kicked him in the shin and huffed. "You need to get your shit figured out because one of these days you aren't going to have someone as forgiving ad me." She stepped out of the tub and went to the sink to wash her hands which still had blood on them from his wound.

Ukii looked up at the Redhead, with wide eyes. He had no words... "Asato... You wouldn't actually hurt me... Right..?" He asked quietly, his voice shaky and nervous. He thought he could trust her... She seemed nice enough, after all... But after that... He felt a lot less safe around her.

Asato

Asato glared over her shoulder at him and scoffed. "You know that all depends Ukii, because when you call me a killer it makes me want to play the role." She said, still salty about what he had said about her. She turned off the sink and turned to face him, crossing her arms in the process. "Let me ask you something, are you going to give me a reason to hurt you?"

 

[Thetas]

That question just made Ukii feel alone... A little afraid, too... He nodded a bit, knowing that if what he said before was reason enough, then it would happen again. "Y-You're Ghouls... You kill people like me..." He reasoned, as he slumped back in the bloody tub. "What if I was someone you randomly attacked in an alley..? Would you have mercy?" He asked quietly, as he looked at the floor of the tub. "You're... Monsters." He said quietly, hardly loud enough to hear.

Asato stopped in her place and let him speak. She didn't feel the need to interupt him, so she simply stood and waited for him to finish. None of it really upset her, mostly because she had a reason to back everything up that he said. That is until he called her a monster. She almost instantly charged for him tackling him onto the ground. "Let's start out with your first statement... If you where one of the victims in an alley way, you wouldn't be working here. You would be a gang raper, or a murderer. I don't show mercy to criminals." Her eyes slowly fogged over with black besides the pupils which took on a crimson red tint. "I can be a monster though, I can just as easily kill you now... but I won't, because I don't kill innocent people." She smirked slightly, her kagune slowly breaking through her clothes and wrapping around her body and arms, forming a large claw on her free hand. "That doesn't mean I won't hurt them... You have a chance to get away free though... apologize."

Ukii's eyes widened a bit as her Kagune wrapped around her body. It scared him... She scared him... "A-Asato..." He whined out quietly, his eyes wide. He couldn't bring himself to say anymore. He was scared for his life... She went from sweet to crazy within an instant... He just hoped he would live long enough to see her turn back.

Asato lowered her hand and allowed the claw to slowly enter his other shoulder. "You call me a monster, I'll play the part..." She growled under her breath before moving her hand to cover his mouth to muffle any screams. "I showed you mercy Ukii, I could have easily taken another bite out of you like Shii did but I didn't. I helped you, I bandaged you up but that wasn't enough. You humans are all the same, you don't care about the small things. You only look at the big picture." She pulled the claw out of his shoulder and brought it to his chin. "Learn some respect." She said calmly and lifted herself off of him. She licked the blood off of her hand and retracted her kagune. She stood infront of him and tossed the alcohol and medical tape at him. "I'm not helping you this time... that is, unless you want to apologize to me."

Ukii's screams of pain were muffled by the Redhead's hand, As his shoulder burned like a hot fire. Even after she pulled her Kagune out, it burned. He hugged her leg tightly, and muffled an apology into her pant leg, "I-I'm sorry... P-Please, Asato..." He gripped her pant leg, and sobbed further. "I-It burns... It hurts..!" He exclaimed, as his shoulder leaked thick, dark blood. "I'm sorry... P-Please... Don't hurt me again... It hurts..." He repeated, as he pulled his face away from her leg

Asato looked down at him and smiled hearing the apology. It was good enough for her. She shook him off her leg gently and sat down on the ground, pouring the rubbing alcohol over the wound and wrapping medical tape around it. She smiled and fixed her hair some before messing up his. "Thank you, now will you ever tell anyone about anything that happened here. Meaning, will you allow the CCG find out?" She asked with a calm voice.
