He is rather perverted, flirting with anyone he sees but in truth he’s clever and perceptive. He has managed to use his playboy persona to his advantage. He is particular about what he likes and he has a love of coffee and in making it. He tends to get into arguments with those who have opposite personalities but this doesn’t mean he hates them, call it friendly squabbling. He loves his friends and most part of his family but enjoys teasing them. He has a fair understanding in the abilities he lacks, and believes that he excels the best at understanding and socializing with people. Taira also has an affinity in manipulation, psychology and social interactions.

[div class=tag]Background:[/div] Taira never had any recollection of his mother as she died soon after she gave birth to him. He was told that she was a strong woman and would do anything to protect those she loved. Even Taira despite not being born yet. She was one of the people who had a strong sense of justice. This made him even more proud that she was his mother even if he never had the chance to meet her. He later came to know that she was killed during an “outbreak”, she tried to stop it from deescalating but she had to pay for it with her life. Those ghouls were now behind bars for who knew how long. His father told stories about her whenever Taira felt sad as he wasn’t “normal”. After a few years, his father met a new woman who already had a child of her own. This came to a shock to him as they were humans. But something had shifted in the meantime in his father. As if he suddenly came realize something. He had outbursts of anger, as if he didn’t know how to control himself anymore. After a while, the truth came out that the man had a gambling addiction and lost quite an amount of money. In the end, that guy ran away. The guy that was once called a father. Taira felt even more obliged to take care of his new family now, taking on a job as a host as it paid the most. With this they managed to pay the debts they had. Even if they were against it, he started to like this job as the people were nice to him. They also didn’t look at him strangely for not eating since they only had to drink there. Being able to switch the alcohol with just plain water whenever they weren’t paying attention, that was the way he kept on a low key. But during this time, he also trained to be stronger. It took years and years to get to this point and it didn’t go unnoticed by the CCG. Eventually he was being rated as a SS. One of the most dangerous ghouls around. His family knew he was a ghoul but they had never seen that side of him where he would actually fight. That was until his stepsister caught him in the act. She wanted to know more about him and with time, they grew closer to each other like an actual brother and sister. Personality: Introverted, shy, quiet, independent, self-centered, can be reliable, impulsive, clever, smart, tends to be malevolent, often rude, childish and erratic.

Background: At the age of 4 Rem's parents were killed by ghouls. She lived most of her life in an orphanage, she was shy and never really stood out. She didn't like other people and never had friends, living her life alone. Throughout her childhood she would always get into trouble, either by hurting other kids or pets. Rem is malevolent by nature and the kids used to nickname her the devil of the orphanage because of her violent tendencies. As she grew older she sought after knowledge, Rem loved to learn. She discovered ghouls and became obsessed with them, wishing to be one herself, even after realizing they were what killed her parents. Power, to be feared, to have the power to do what she pleased while being left alone by everyone else is what she sought. She would begin to manipulate others, pretending to be friends with the other kids and get them to do dangerous things and then laugh when they got hurt. Eventually she was kicked out of the orphanage at the age of 12 and was took into a foster family. She lived in foster care until she turned 18 and started college, killing her foster family before moving into her dorm and making it look like a ghoul did it. Rem is a sociopath who wants to be a ghoul, crazy and evil. Nothing traumatizing led up to this, it is just how she is and has always been. Perplexed by the idea that ghouls even exist. On the surface she seems like a shy, cute, innocent, college student. But she is anything but that. If she isn't studying, at class or working, she spends her time either researching ghouls online or out late at night boldly trying to find one. She seen online by chance that ghouls like and can drink coffee, true or not, she got a job at a coffee shop part-time and scans the customers and asks the names of those who she thinks is suspicious of being a ghoul that she later writes down in her journal. Keeping tabs on them. Her goal is to become a ghoul if possible, or be-friend and learn as much as she can from one.

She is very opinionated and usually speaks her mind. It was this attitude and her enthusiasm that made her have quite some friends. She can get very enthusiastic about things that catch her eye and if there is something that even remotely interests her, she will instantly act upon and pursue those feelings. She can be quite pushy in achieving her goals. In addition, Anna lacks manners to some extent, frequently speaking with her mouth full of food, with a tendency to be noisy and untidy. One day, her mother caught him cheating with another woman and called it quits. Saying that it was better to move back to her own country than to stay with this lousy man. Anna didn’t really mind since her father was practically a stranger to her as she barely saw him and if she did, he didn’t pay attention to her in the slightest. Upon moving to Japan, she was glad that her mother taught her Japanese so she didn’t struggle too much with the language. After a while her mother met a new man who seemed to be a lot nicer. It didn’t take long for them to get married as her mother was head over heels for him. Anna got bullied though for a short while because of her appearance but her stepbrother ended the bullying pretty fast once he found out about it. Even her stepfather went to the school to complain about the behavior of the students. She finally felt like she had a home to go to. But it didn’t take long before the new man ran away and left them in debts due to his own fault. Yet Anna’s home didn’t shatter as her stepbrother stayed and did his best to make their lives more comfortable even after all that happened. She and her mother thought he did too much for them but he insisted which made it difficult to say no to him. Taira had always been like that… Anna was about to enter her second year of high school before she found out about the things her brother did behind the schemes.
