The vast and wondrous continent Vyrdia, also known as the Land of Excellence, for most of the world's most famous and successful people come from here, kings, queens, masters, mages, heroes, you name it, and they'll have the best. However, the increasing population of such high tier beings had slowly drained the world of its old excitement, of its old glory.
Villainous monsters and creatures are easily slain, conflicts are quickly solved. Peace and order is dominant everywhere. Though such are truly good for the world, it needs something more than just those. As the saying goes, "Too much of anything is bad." The world needs thrill, and enjoyment, like its old days. For now, it is but a stale one.
And that is when the famed Broken Gate comes in.
The Broken Gate, also called as Mother of Quests, is a humongous, strange, ancient object, laying in the ruins of a city known as Gullsith. Both are made of some old, extinct material called Everstone, which for some strange reason, lasts for eternity if left alone. Both are sturdy enough to withstand a dragon's might, but there are still forces out there that could easily turn its old structures to mere dust.
Now, what does it do? Why is it so crucial?
The Broken Gate acts like a quest-giver, giving individuals who approach it and bestow an offering their needed thrill and joy through quests. Different kinds of voices would speak based on the offering and the people who offered, telling them of their quest and explaining a few details of it. Once the voice would be finished, the offering melds into The Broken Gate and disappears into thin air.
You are a resident of Vyrdia, and you are getting bored to death. After hearing word of the famed Broken Gate, you decide to pack up your stuff, and prepare for a journey you'll remember for the rest of you life. You ready up....
