Granted, I haven't roleplayed in about three years, but for the four or so years before that I rp'ed on neo. So I guess this is my coming back /and/ coming of age? Well, here we go..

I'm right there with you! I have so many good memories of the rp's there, it's just slowed down so much and the rules got so strict over the years it just became too much of a hassle, you feel?


(and I was totally still doing some 1x1 on there well into 18 xD )

@Vannah Y'know not many people I've met even know of Neopets. Which is like "HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW?! Have you been living under a rock all these years? O.o " Its so weird that theres people who don't know if it though..considering my eldest brother was playing it as a kid. its pretty old.


I make multiple accounts just because I never have enough neopets...I have issues :P
 
I never played in neopets. This is the only rp sure I've been on. But, welcome! *throws confetti around*
 
@RegalWindstar Seriously?? That's so weird to me because I actually met one of my best friends through neo, the boards are what got me started writing. I have so many accounts because I kept getting silenced xD I wasn't catious enought for the censors and it would ALWAYS happen in the middle of a big plot arch! I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could still find all the character pages I made on the petpages (not sure I want to though, those early ones from 14/15 year old Vannah? ...sheesh)

It's not lame. People are scary. We're such a large site. I wouldn't have discovered role playing and RPN without my boyfriend. Wait, that sounds wrong. We roleplay, but it's nothing dirty. I promise!

No worries I got you! (Then again, you do you, no judgement!) I hate telling people I roleplay because they automatically go right for the sexual meaning and I like "No no that's not what I mean!" but by then the damage is done.


@RegalWindstar Sure, I'd love to! (Also, just out of curiosity because I can't figure it out. Is your icon from a kpop band or something else like a drama? I'm just now starting to dabble in kpop so I don't recognize people yet)

it is Kim Seokjin of the kpop boy Group BTS that has seven members and is very kind to their fans and actually interact with us whos MVs have deep meanings or / and storylines. They are like a bunch of kids with how they act and if you get me started on them I can talk forever and link so many inside jokes.

My best friend teased us about it, until she moved. Her name is Savannah, but I called her Vannah.
 
@Vannah Seriously you need Kpop, Jrock, Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese or Japanese dramas I'm your girl.


(well less so with Japanese dramas. A lot of them I wouldn't recommend bc they can get really..really weird.)
 
ayyyy I started on Neopets way back in the day too


But the rules and censors were so strict and constricting that I had to venture out into greener pastures. I don't think I've logged in to Neopets for.... basically ever. My pets are probably dead as eff.

Depending on when you joined your pets might still be there. Nowadays you can just leave them forever and they won't die run away or anything they just say they are starving thats it. Which is good since I don't have a lot of time to be on neopets anymore.

No Actually its STILL going. Far as I know I was on it a couple months ago so it should still be going there was no news on it closing within the few months I've been gone again.
 
@RegalWindstar I think I actually tried logging in a few years ago and there were literally just advertisements everywhere and so much sponsored content and it was just exhausting to look at and so I was like "nope good riddance forever". I haven't been able to find another good pet simulator site since then...

You could get Adblock, theres actually multiple types I use adblock plus on my chrome and Adblock Latitude on my firefox / Palemoon.


You can just disable them on sites you wanna support. I never get any ads anywhere unless it glitches which is rare and usually only happens on youtube.
 
Eh, I could. I already use Ghostery and that works relatively well. It's just really sad to see a site that I once loved so owned by corporate interests and advertisements. Oh well, it was a good place to start, but honestly I've grown so much more away from Neo.
