Oh lord what am I doing…
So, I am, in fact, still looking for Baldur’s Gate 3 and Armored Core 6, but thanks to one of my playthroughs of Baldur’s Gate 3, I have A Craving, and I may as well try to satisfy it.
Read the rules if you’re interested, find the code, and hit me up.
Okay, so what am I looking for?
A vampire RP, set in modern times. We can negotiate rules, but you can find some of my hard and fast ones, and some of my preferences, in this spoiler.
Now, with this RP, I don’t mind involving werewolves, demons, and some other creatures. I’m not too keen on fae, but with the right pitch, I can be persuaded. I’m also not really looking for this to involve, ah…ignorant humans. Hunters, definitely, but just some random dude with tasty blood? They’ll probably need a bit more plot meat on those bones.
What do I have to offer for plot?
Generally speaking:
A College Town in Somewhere, America, is home to a notable vampire population. It’s also home to a secret they sealed a long time ago, and of course, never speak about, and never warn about. New vampires in the town aren’t warned about it, because warnings go in one ear and out the other.
It’s covered up by some sort of dingy location. A by-the-hour motel, a 24/7 convenience store, a subway station that rarely gets stopped at, that one of the elder vampires owns, and keeps running even if it doesn’t turn a profit or have a real reason to be. It changes every couple of decades, false “renovation and rejuvenation” promises for the area.
What’s the secret? Well, that’s for us to decide, but some ideas: A Demon, An Elder Vampire, “Strix” (the VtR idea of it, loosely; angry spirits with a hatred and jealousy towards living things, who can possess others), or perhaps something else you wish to propose? Of course, for something like an Elder Vampire, we would need a reason why it wasn’t just killed, but we can concoct that together.
Obviously, the thrust of the plot is our unfortunate characters releasing this thing. Perhaps they’re led to do it, perhaps it is a total accident, or perhaps they’re doing it out of curiosity when they hear rumors. Whatever the case, it’s a mess they’re responsible for, and they’ll have to clean up – for part one.
The cleaning up will allow them to all get closer to each other, and to others in the city. With a cast of elder villainous vampires, young anarchists, hopeful idealists, genocidal hunters, and more, I imagine we can scrape together plenty of branching stories for the characters to continue to contend with after this is handled.
Not to mention we’ll have to figure how to get them to release this evil in the first place.
Now, in this – I do have a particular character type in mind for one of my main characters, and as you may have guessed, it is a Diablerist. I see her as a relatively young vampire, and if played close to the origin, she’s a vampire pacted with a demon (Daeva En for those who want to know how she was played in Vampire the Requiem). She loathes her vampirism and seeks to ascend above it, somehow, someway. Ruthlessly ambitious, and terribly charismatic.
Her first Diablerie was an accident. Depending on how we play, it may be the first of many, or the only one. It was done when she finally rose up against her Sire, a scientist possessed of the same desire: ascension. He tried to find the way by turning childes and experimenting on them, and well – he picked the wrong one eventually.
So, she’s left behind her previous “home” and entered this new town to start fresh, and hopefully avoid any who might find her sire dead and come after her for it.

1. Don't God-Mod. In other words, don't make my character speak, don't make my character take damage, and don't control my character. If you want something to go a certain way for plot purposes, just PM me and ask. Usually, I accept "god-modding" during travel and the like. It is usually acceptable to assume movement if a character is already committed to the journey.
2. Please be able to play all genders, and play multiple roles. Your main character(s) may be just male or just female, but I expect all the side characters and NPCs to have life and flavor, too.
3. I always double regardless of pairings involved, so you are also expected to double.
4. On the note of characters: I will always play one female character. So, be aware of that. I'm open to all pairing types, and have enjoyed all, so come at me with what you want!
5. I only RP on threads, (or GDocs in rare cases; you’ll have to convince me because I hate cluttering it up), so no PM, kik, discord, e-mail, or other rps with me. So that I know you’ve read the rules this far, please tell me something interesting you’ve read/watched recently!
6. Please be able to write more than a couple of sentences as responses to me. I have tried to do “simple” RPs, but I end up not feeling motivated to respond or continue the RP. I will need you to be able to write a paragraph or two, each post, at least.
7. PM if you are interested. The only reason for you not to PM me is if you cannot do so due to the fact you haven't reached 24 hours/10 posts.
Guidelines:
1. I do not like to be hassled for posts. Especially if I have already posted that day or the day before. Do not bother me for posts until at least two days have passed. Otherwise, I will start to resent our RP and lose interest in it.
2. I enjoy OOC talk, however I will not respond to "hi" or "-poke-" or equivalents. Have substance to the chatter, even if it just asking "How are you?".
3. Do not bump our thread, or do anything OOC in the IC thread. I will not post out of spite. I have a problem with this, I acknowledge it, I'm not fixing it.
4. On that matter, please keep OOC to PMs and not on our IC thread. IC is for posting. If you have a question, concern, or comment, just shoot me a PM.
5. In general, I do not enjoy immediate romances or "slice-of-life" RPs, so do not come to me expecting I'll do either. I do want romance in 9 out of 10 cases, though. I may make rare exceptions.

A vampire RP, set in modern times. We can negotiate rules, but you can find some of my hard and fast ones, and some of my preferences, in this spoiler.
Hard and fast rules:
- Vampires burn and die in the sun.
- A stake to the heart will kill a vampire, but if it isn’t put in deep enough, it will just knock them out.
- Decapitation will kill a vampire.
- Vampires can drink from animals, humans, and other vampires. This is in order to what is more “nutritious” for them, so yes, vampires are the best to feed from.
- Feeding from a vampire comes with a risk: the blood bond. One drink isn’t as great a risk, but two+? You may end up enslaved to their command until that blood washes out of your system.
- Drinking a vampire dry can grant a vampire more power. If you’re familiar with Vampire the Requiem or Vampire the Masquerade, you may know this term as Diablerie, Amaranth, etc.
- And so for the sake of this: vampires can develop unique talents.
- Vampires are more impacted by fire than a human is.
- Fangs are retractable in most cases.
- Genuinely held Faith, Belief, etc., regardless of religion, can impact/harm a vampire. If someone truly believes wearing their lucky socks will protect them from harm, well, hell, it’s gonna work with a vampire. Faith can be shattered. Nothing is going to stop a vampire from throwing a rock at the person to prove they can be harmed and whittle it down with mind fuckery.
- Vampires don’t have a reflection, or a shadow.
