INTRO.
Hi hello, thank you for stopping by! You can call me Nox (they/them), I’m a 24 year-old student from the US with about 13 years of roleplay experience. I am finally back after a series of sudden hiatuses to sort out the havoc happening in my life, but now that things are a bit more stable I’m back and on the lookout for some long-term 1x1 partners. If we’ve roleplayed together in the past, please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d love to hear from you again!
As stated above, I would like to be able to find some long-term partners. Ideally I would love to have a writing partner who likes to chat out of character and wants to yap endlessly about plotting and world building and character dynamics, as well as stuff outside of rp! Essentially it would be fantastic if we were to build up a friendship, which is also a surefire way to keep my interest going as well. I love making playlists and Pinterest boards for characters, as well as creating silly little art and drawings of them! Collaboration is also super important to me; I want both of us to work together on plotting and put equal work and effort into driving the story.
I definitely prefer OOC chatter to take place on Discord, it’s the easiest way to reach me. We can also rp over there as well, or through DMs or threads on RPN.
RULES.
Just some general housekeeping, ground rules, and pertinent information before we get into the thick of it:
Now for the good stuff!! Below I have listed some of my preferred genres, themes, pairings, and tropes. Further down from that are some more solid plot ideas, some of which are much more fleshed out than others. I would love to work together to come up with something more solid; I’d also LOVE to hear any of your own plot ideas you’ve been itching to use! I can also tell you about some OCs of mine I've been wanting to write, and we can see if they'd make an interesting dynamic with any of your own! I should note that I am a sucker for romance, but I'm more than happy to write platonic pairings as well.

The Ground Needs to be Fed — supernatural & occult; eldritch horror; serial killer; ghost x clairvoyant; small town horror/mystery.
The sleepy little town of Havengrove has often been regarded by its inhabitants as a perfect slice of Americana heaven. Yet beneath its idyllic surface lies something much darker. Muse A*, the town’s black sheep, has always been written off as a no-good punk and a troublemaker destined to get nowhere in life. When A vanishes without a trace, most residents are relieved and quick to assume he’s finally skipped town for good. But the truth is far more chilling: A never left. He’s dead, his restless spirit bound to the town by a sinister force he doesn’t quite understand. Enter Muse B, the one person who can see and hear A’s ghost. Whether they’re a newcomer, an old friend returning to their roots, or a local with a hidden gift (open to all kinds of possibilities!), B’s rare clairvoyant abilities have made them the unwitting link between the living and the dead. A latches onto B, insistent on warning them of the horrors hidden around every corner of the seemingly perfect small town and desperate to uncover the truth of what happened to him. Reluctantly united by fate, the pair embarks on a dangerous journey to unravel the mysteries of Havengrove. But with every revelation, they risk uncovering secrets that might be better left buried.
From the Ashes — vigilantes; superheroes/metahumans; rivalry; enemies to friends (to lovers); hero x mercenary/villain.
Muse A* was once the promising protégé of one of the city’s most revered vigilante heroes, trained to uphold justice and carry the torch in their mentor’s fight against crime. But one fateful night, everything fell apart. A high-stakes mission went terribly wrong, leaving Muse A presumed dead and nothing more than the ghost of a memory. Years later, Muse A resurfaces and learns the bitter truth: their former mentor has moved on, filling the void A left behind with Muse B, a new protégé now donning A’s old mantle. Struck by anger and jealousy at this turn, A feels betrayed. Instead of revealing their survival, A keeps to the shadows carving out a new identity for themself as a masked mercenary, loyalty and justice now taking a backseat to survival and personal gain. They only cross paths with B and their former mentor on the job and in the heat of battle, but tensions flare as their confrontations blur the lines between enemies and reluctant allies. Things take an unexpected turn when A encounters B outside the masks and capes, meeting them in their civilian identity. A immediately recognizes B for who they are, but B remains clueless about A’s true identity. What begins as a chance for A to toy with B—perhaps out of spite or sheer amusement—soon grows complicated. Against their better judgment, A finds themselves drawn to B, tangled in a web of feelings they’d sworn to suppress.
The Occultist Records — supernatural & occult; dark academia; gothic horror; victorian era
In the shadowed streets of Victorian London, where whispers of the supernatural mingle with the fog, A* has carved a name for herself as a most unusual investigator. Defying societal norms and the rigid expectations placed on women of her time, she runs an exclusive occult investigation business, delving into mysteries that others dare not touch.
This one is a rather open plot, with various different directions and plot potentials! B could be A's work partner or assistant, a client, someone she meets on the job, etc! Would love to hear any ideas, I'm just itching for some spooky occult investigations set in a Victorian era backdrop.

RULES.
Just some general housekeeping, ground rules, and pertinent information before we get into the thick of it:
- 18+ partners only, please.
- Bigotry and prejudice of any kind will not be tolerated. No racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. Please note that myself and all my OCs are some flavor of LGBTQ+, so if you’re not comfortable with that then we probably aren’t a good fit. That being said, I am open to any and all pairings!
- Quality always over quantity, but no one-liners please! Looking for semi-advanced to advanced lit, 3rd person view. My own responses typically range from 2-8 paragraphs in length. I prefer IRL face claims or written descriptions for characters, and please no generative AI for anything in relation to the roleplay. Also, I can happily provide a writing sample if you should request one!
- I am a working student with various responsibilities and hobbies on the side besides roleplay, so please be patient with me! You can expect at least one reply a week from me, usually more. If I take longer than that, feel free to give me a nudge or check in. I will extend you the same patience and understanding.
- Ghost friendly! Life happens, I totally get it (I’m guilty of ghosting in the past as well from life getting in the way). If I haven’t heard from you in a bit, I might reach out just to see how you’re doing. I would prefer if you were to notify me if you want to quit or need a break, absolutely no questions asked, so that I don’t have to feel like a sailor’s wife forlornly gazing out to sea, wondering if her husband will ever return from his journey. BUT I promise I won’t hold it against you either way! Plus you can always reach out again later down the line.
- Please let me know if you have any triggers! I have none myself, and I do very much love exploring dark themes in my works, but rest assured all sensitive and mature topics will be handled with respect.
- If you are interested, please send me a DM, I would like to keep this thread neat and tidy. Please introduce yourself and tell me your ideas and what you would be interested in potentially writing about. Thanks!

I will likely update this later with more plots, but that's all for now! As stated before, please send me a DM if you are interested. Looking forward to getting to write with some of you!
